Flexibility & Choice Basically, the industry standard fire policy (PSKI) does not provide the extent of protection our clients usually expect. Therefore, we have enhanced the cover to a standard level with QBE HOME Basic Cover (option I) and to a deluxe level with QBE HOME Plus Cover (option II). You can choose from the two levels of cover: QBE HOME Basic (Standard protection): Take up this cover for maximum exterior protection for you home. This package product is designed to protect your precious home from most external hazards while providing additional benefits to ease your burdens in the form of temporary accommodation relief and financial assistance for the cost of extinguishing the fire and removal of debris. Just ring your QBE POOL branch manager, agent or broker as soon as you can, after you and your family are safe. We would attend to your site as soon as possible to proceed with professional adjustment in order to reduce time loss. We understand that making a claim is stressful enough. So if you must do so, we will take action without any delay – in fact, we promise to settle your claim within 5 working days from time of agreed settlement amount. This is the QBE POOL promise.
Case Studies/Studi Kasus Rioters burnt a car parked outside the first house of a street of fifteen houses. The flame sparked to the adjacent house and the fire spread all the way through the row of houses. The fire engulfed each of the houses and burned them to their foundation, leaving the owners with nothing. Three of our clients were affected by this event. The first client took up the Polis Standard Kebakaran Indonesia/PSKI, which is the industry standard cover and does not include any Riots peril extension, the second client took up QBE HOME Basic and the third client took up QBE HOME Plus.
Perusuh membakar sebuah mobil yang diparkir di depan sederetan rumah yang berjumlah 15 buah. Api menyambar ke rumah yang berdekatan dan menyebar ke seluruh deretan. Akibatnya ke-15 rumah tersebut habis terbakar. Tiga dari klien kami adalah pemilik rumah-rumah yang terbakar tersebut. Klien pertama membeli Polis Standar Kebakaran Indonesia (PSKI) yang merupakan standar industri dan tidak secara otomatis termasuk perluasan jaminan kerusuhan, klien kedua membeli Polis QBE HOME Basic dan klien ketiga membeli Polis QBE HOME Plus.
Unfortunately the first client could not claim his loss under the PSKI policy as this industry standard type of policy does not automatically cover riots peril and/or resultant damages. Had the cover taken been extended with Riots cover in the first place, then the client would have been entitled to claim for the loss of property.
Sayang sekali klien pertama tidak dapat mengajukan klaim kepada kami karena PSKI tidak secara otomatis mendapat jaminan atas risiko RSMD termasuk akibatnya. Apabila klien tersebut mengambil perluasan jaminan RSMD atas PSKI-nya, barulah ia dapat mengajukan klaim atas kerugian yang dideritanya.
The client with our QBE HOME Basic cover was entitled to claim for the total sum insured and was able to rebuild his house and replace his contents. On top of that, the policy covered costs associated with temporary removal, fire extinguishing and debris removal (up to the amount specified in the schedule).
Klien kami dengan QBE HOME Basic berhak mengajukan klaim sebesar Total Harga Pertanggungannya dan dapat segera membangun kembali rumahnya dan mengganti isi yang rusak. Di samping itu, klien tersebut juga mendapat penggantian biaya akomodasi sementara, biaya pemadaman kebakaran dan biaya pembersihan puing-puing (sampai dengan limit yang tercantum dalam Polis).
The third client had our QBE HOME Plus cover, so he could claim for all the above, plus costs incurred for temporary removal of home contents to emergency accommodation. In addition, the policy covered architect, surveyor and legal fees. When it comes to household repairs, lengthy delays can always happen – especially when there is a serious fire – so emergency accommodation can be required for lengthy periods. Because the client’s expenses were covered by our policy, he was able to focus on organising the repairs to his home and contents, supported by our claims expert. QBE POOL helped reduce the homeowner’s stress by providing financial and professional support. (Our temporary accommodation expenses allowance covers reasonable expenses for emergency accommodation, covering the time between the fire and the repair date if, during this time, the house is uninhabitable. These expenses are payable in addition to sum insured).
