Objective : The overall objective is to have improved water quality throughout the Citarum River Basin for use by all users. More immediate objectives are: (i) To have a sound and comprehensive water quality database upon which planning, policy and operational decisions can be based (with respect to water management). (ii) To have appropriate and effective policies and procedures in place for water quality management. (iii) To make measurable improvements in key water quality parameters across the basin.

Rain Water Harvesting (as the effort to provide Clean water Supply and to Prevent Flood and Drought)
Background : Crisis of clean water supply in Indonesia, drought in dry season and flood in rainy season have become a tendency to increase from time to time. Indonesia has a relatively high rainfall : 2000‐4000 mm/year. (Indonesia should not have a problem of clean water supply). However, improper rain water management has created problems of flood in rainy season and water crisis in dry season due to the lack of water quantity and also water quality The objective of the implementation of rain water harvesting and utilization methods are to decrease imbalance water in rainy season and dry season, to add clean water supply for community, and to prevent flood and drougt

Project Purpose and Outputs Project Purpose : Local Governments develop their capacity of water quality management plan to enforce environmental laws and regulations in the pilot sites Outputs : 1. Documents and laws and regulations about water quality management are prepared and utilized appropriately 2. Technical guidance for water quality management plan and a manual for province to support the regency/municipality are used for establishing a cooperative framework 3. Water quality management plan is formulated and implemented in pilot sites
