[email protected] RINGKASAN Salah satu solusi guna memperbaiki kualitas ransum pada ternak ruminansia adalah dengan memanfaatkan tanaman leguminosa, karena kandungan proteinnya yang cukup tinggi dan palatabilitasnya baik. Secara nutritif telah dilaporkan bahwa Indigofera zollingeriana tergolong sebagai tanaman legum semak yang mampu menghasilkan hijauan pakan dengan kualitas tinggi. Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan produksi Indigofera zollingeriana pada dosis pupuk fosfat 50, 100, 150 dan 200 kg/ha, dilakukan di Stasiun Penelitian Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Udayana, Jalan Raya Sesetan Gang Markisa Denpasar, selama 15 minggu. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dosis pupuk fosfat dengan 5 kali ulangan sehingga terdapat 25 unit percobaan. Kelima perlakuan tersebut adalah P0 (0 kg/ha), P1 (50 kg/ha), P2 (100 kg/ha), P3 (150 kg/ha) dan P4 (200 kg/ha). Variabel yang diamati antara lain variabel pertumbuhan, variabel produksi dan variabel karakteristik tumbuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk fosfat SP-36 tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanamanIndigofera zollingeriana, tetapi berpengaruh terhadap produksi berat kering akar dan nisbah berat kering total hijauan dengan berat kering akar tanaman. Pupuk fosfat dengan dosis 50 kg/ha menghasilkan produksi berat kering akar paling tinggi. Kata kunci:pertumbuhan, produksi, Indigofera zollingeriana, fosfat, dosis pupuk

[email protected] SUMMARY One solution to improve the quality of rations in ruminants to utilize legume, because of its high protein content and palatability. As its nutrition has been reported that Indigofera zollingerianaclassified as a legume shrubs capable of producing high-quality forages.The study which aimed to determine the growth and production of Indigofera zollingeriana at phosphate fertilizer dose 50, 100, 150 and 200 kg/ha, was conducted in Faculty of Animal Husbandry Research Station at Udayana University, Sesetan Street, Markisa Alley, Denpasar, for 15 weeks. The design used in this study is completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of five doses of phosphate fertilizer with five replicates. Those treatments were P0 (0 kg / ha), P1 (50 kg / ha), P2 (100 kg / ha), P3 (150 kg / ha) and P4 (200 kg / ha). The variables observed were growth, production and growthcharacteristic of the legumes. The results showed that the phosphate fertilizer SP-36 had no effect on plant growth, but affect the production of root dry weight and dry weight ratio of the total forage dry weight of the roots of plants. Phosphate fertilizer with a dose of 50 kg / ha resulted in the highest production of root dry weight. Keywords: growth, production, Indigofera zollingeriana, phosphate, fertilizers doses
