The name of the Mechanical Engineering Drawing and Design/CADD Mechanical Engineering Drawing and Design covers the use of computer Aided Drawing & Design (CADD) technology in the preparation of graphical models, drawing, paperwork and files containing all information necessary for the manufacture and documentation, of part and component typical of solution to mechanical engineering problem.
The test only consist the practical work. The theoretical is limited to that necessary to carry out the practical work and reflect that of an entry Mechanical Engineering Drawing and Design
Practical Work 3.1. Practical tasks will be given sketching, detail drawing, individual physical part and assemblies. Collection of information from these sources will require reading of print, sketches, drawing, engineering tables, and manual. Additional information will be obtains from direct measurement of actual part supplied and or from scaled drawings. Problem will be requiring solutions in the form graphical and textual description, sufficient to communicate successfully the information necessary for manufacturing of these component assemblies in industry. 3.2.
Competition Project Categories 3.2.1.
Producing engineering drawing from dimensions taken of an actual part or from isometric drawing (3D). Will be done by measuring aids such as, vernier calipers, bevel protectors, radius gauge etc. as by triangles, dividers, arcdegree and then transfer the measuring result to paper sketches.
3.2.2.
Producing drawings model isometric and engineering drawing from dimension taken of drawing of orthographic (2D). Measuring will be done by triangles, dividers, arc-degree etc.
3.2.3.
Preparing an assembly drawing with all necessary views, sections, general dimension and animations. Based on draft of them and notes that contain all information on design, producing detail part drawing for manufacturing containing all necessary information for logical manufacturing processes such as: Complete shape description of the component General dimensions Fundamental dimensions and tolerances Geometric tolerances of front and position Surface finish symbols Created and make animations material

Output of Work 3.4.1. The drawing after finished put on a form 3.4.2. The drawing printed by laser jet (color) 3.4.3. The drawing printed with scale, completed with dimensions, text, line thickness professional, on A4 or A3 paper.
3.4.
Appropriate Related Skills 3.4.1. Taking dimensions by means of measuring aids such as, divide, scale, vernier calipers, bevel protractor, radius gauge etc. 3.4.2. Creating freehand sketches to capture design intent, measurement information and other details such that they can be transferred to the working drawings. 3.4.3. Preparation of drawing sheets including borders, line thickness, title block and relevant information. 3.4.4. Reading and using technical manuals, tables, or standard manuals, software and hardware reference manuals as well as catalog of semi finishing products. 3.4.5. Working knowledge of computer operating system sufficient to manipulate and manage computer files and software correctly. 3.4.6. Good command of technical drawing and mechanical design as well as that practical application of drawing principles and practices. 3.4.7. Can print the work of drawing, using laser printers, after instruction during the familiarization period.

Materials 4.1. The host province shall, for practical reasons, be responsible for provision of the major product and support personnel for such items as computers, monitors, digitizers, plotters/printers and furniture. 4.2.
Additional materials to be supplied include: 4.2.1. Sketching paper 4.2.2. Sketching pencils and erasers 4.2.3. Top quality paper for printing. The competitors must bring: Tables and chart for basic mechanical engineering applications Tools for drawing (triangle, dividers, arc-degree) Measuring equipment (vernier caliper, bevel protector, radius gage etc.) Pocket calculator Competitors are allowed to bring their own computer, please permit to the steering committee Note: All materials and equipment brought by competitors must be presented to technical expert on request.

From the drawing provided, produce the detail drawing. Make assembly isometric drawing,assembly orthography drawing and detail drawings (2D/Orthography), according with yours measurement. Candidates have to provide the projection view as necessary. Complete the drawing with dimensions, tolerances, geometric tolerances, surface roughness, etc.
