 Impact is composed of a number of impact categories such as global warming, eutrophication, acidification, ozone depletion, ecotoxicity, human toxicity,…. (E.g. the EDIP97 methodology normalises the global warming impact of 1 PE to 8700 kg CO2-equivalents per year)

3. Conclusies  One-sensor sturing:  technische en financiële haalbaarheid bewezen op >100 cases in Vlaanderen  ook op kleinere zuiveringen  kostenbesparend en betere zuiveringsprestaties

 Modellering:  perfecte tool om haalbaarheid on-line sturing / verbeteringsscenario‟s te begroten (vooropgestelde effluentresultaten te behalen tegen minimale kost)  tot 15% kostenbesparing mogelijk  frequent toegepast in Vlaanderen

 LCA benadering:  zuiveringsinstallaties kunnen ook vergeleken/beoordeeld worden op ecologische voetafdruk  impact reducties 5-20% mogelijk
