STAVEBNÍ NÁVOD PRO

HORNET II

Vážený zákazníku, děkujeme, že jste si zakoupil výrobek firmy MS Composit. Z dílů, obsažených v této stavebnici postavíte mikroelektrovrtulník HORNET II s kolektivním řízením. Řízení cykliky je provedeno moderním systémem CCPM, což znamená přímé tříbodové řízení cykliky pomocí tří serv bez použití mechanických mixů umístěných na vrtulníku. Systém CCPM vyžaduje použití RC soupravy určené pro ovládání vrtulníků a vybavené mixy umožňujícími tento systém řízení. HORNET II je určen pro širokou škálu pilotů RC vrtulníků. Lze jej provozovat jako halový model, stejně tak je možné létání na venkovních letištích s minimálními nároky na letový prostor. Pro zaručení správné funkce tohoto systému postupujte ve vlastním zájmu důsledně dle stavebního návodu. Upozornění! Rádiem řízené modely vrtulníků obsahují řadu rotačních dílů, které za provozu akumulují značné množství kinetické energie. Při létání s modely vždy dodržujte bezpečnostní zásady tak, aby nemohlo dojít k ohrožení zdraví nebo majetku. Nikdy nelétejte s poškozenými součástkami a před každým letem podrobte celý systém důkladné kontrole. Při lepení postupujte dle obr. 1.K lepení je vhodné použít řídké vteřinové lepidlo s aktivátorem. Postupujte dle obrázků pro krok1. 1) Vložit ložiska L0360 do rámu E401. 2) Přilepit držák vodítka cykliky E008 na rám E401 tak, aby směřoval vzad v podélné ose rámu. 3) K držáku přilepit vodítko cykliky E009. Pozor na kolmost. 4) Sestavit podvozek z lyžin E087 a podvozkových noh E406. 5) Slepit spoje podvozkových noh. 6) Slepit základnu rámu E402 a stojinu rámu E403. 7) Zalepit sestavený základní rám se stojinou do zadní části rámu E401.

Blatthalter an. Danach können Sie die Lehre benutzen und die Gradzahl an der Markierung ablesen. 7) Die Heckrotoreinstellung wird wie im Bild 4 zu sehen vorgenommen. Nach der Einstellung verkleben Sie den zweiten Gabelkopf mit dem Gestänge. 8) Wenn es der benutzte Kreisel benötigt, Aktivieren Sie die Heckrotorbeimischung (REVO-Mix) in Ihrer Fernsteuerung. Sie benötigen diesen Mischer um das Gegendrehmnoment auszugleichen. Setzten Sie den Wert für positiv und negativ Pitch auf 30%. Eine Feinjustierung muss im Flug erfolgen. 9) Die maximale Pitcheinstellung ist abhängig von der Untersetzung, dem Motor und dem Akku. Wenn Sie den Standard (300er) Motor und Akku (7NC 700mAh) verwenden, und das mittlere Motorritzel mit 11 Z ausgewählt haben, kann das max. Pitch bei 10° eingestellt werden. Die optimale Einstellung kann nur im Flug erfolgen. Zu hohe Pitchwerte führen zu kurzen Flugzeiten und man kann das gesamte System überlasten. Dies kann soweit führen, dass das Modell nicht mehr steuerbar wird. Wir empfehlen Ihnen die Einstellungen mit einem zu 50% geladenen Akku vorzunehmen, damit Sie genügend Reserven auch bei leer werdendem Akku haben. Der maximale Pitchweg ist auf 15° begrenzt und vollkommen ausreichend für Autorotationslandungen. Für Autorotationslandungen muss das Modell mit dem Freilauf Set für Hornet CP E230 ausgerüstet werden. Das minimale Pitch ist begrenzt durch die Gestängelänge. Für Rückenflug muss der min Pitch -10° betragen. Für normales Fliegen sind min Werte von -2° - -3° ausreichend. Bei Autorotationslandung sollte min Pitch -5° betragen. 10) Die Rotorblätter MS-E088 werden mit den Schrauben M2x12 MS-E078 an den Blatthaltern MSE076 befestigt. Bitte ziehen Sie die Schrauben mit Gefühl an. 11) Der Spurlauf der Rotorblätter muss im Schwebeflug eingestellt werden. Falls ein Blatt aus der Spur läuft, verändern Sie die Gestängelänge solange bis der Spurlauf korrekt ist.

Lösung

Falls Sie ein Schütteln am Heckrotor bemerken, können die zu fest angezogene Heckrotorblätter sein. Die Heckrotorblätter müssen sich absolut leichtgängig bewegen lassen. Ebenfalls muss die Heckanlenkung absolut spielfrei ausgeführt sein. Und nun bleibt uns nur Ihnen viel Spaß und vergnügliche Stunden mit dem Hornet CP zu wünschen. Hauptrotor Vibrationen

und Gewindestift E058 wie in der Zeichnung gezeigt. Die Länge richtet sich nach den verwendeten Servos. 4) Verkleben Sie der Servohalter E407 für die Taumelscheibenservosund der Kabinenhalter E414 mit dem Chassis. Der Kabinenhalter ist in eine Rille an der unteren Seite des Servohalters plaziert und ist symmetrisch - beide Seiten de Halters sind gleich. 5) Befestigen Sie die Servos auf den Halterung E407 mit doppelseitigem Klebeband. Die vordere Servo NICHT EINKLEBEN! Es wird eingeklebt nach der Fernsteuerung Abstimmung. Ordnen Sie die Servos so an, dass die Gestänge geradlinig und parallel zur Hauptrotorwelle verlaufen (soweit wie möglich). Hiervon hängen die späteren Flug- und Steuereigenschaften des Modells ab. 6) Es gibt verschiedene Möglichkeiten die Taumelscheibe anzusteuern. Wir empfehlen die 120° Anlenkung, HR 3 oder SR3. Alle Servos müssen dem gleichen Typ entsprechen und identisch in der Geschwindigkeit, Kraft und Stellgenauigkeit sein. Nur so kann eine optimale Ansteuerung der Taumelscheibe gewährleistet werden. 7) Befestigen Sie den Empfänger ebenfalls mit doppelseitigem Klebeband an das Chassis, wie in der Zeichnung gezeigt. 8) Befestigen Sie den Kreisel, (folgen Sie die Hersteller Empfehlungen) mit zwei Streifen doppelseitigem Klebeband. 9) Der Regler kann in Vorderseite der Chassis E402 installiert sein. 10) Die Grundeinstellung der RC Anlage machen Sie vorher Sie der Motor zu dem Regler einschalten! 11) Nach der Grundeinstellung der Fernsteuerung (siehe auch Setup und Einstellung), stellen Sie die Servos in Neutralstellung mit der Fernsteuerung und befestigen die Servohebel in horizontaler Position. Befestigen Sie danach die Servohebel mit den passenden Schrauben. 12) Stellen Sie die Gestängelängen der Taumelscheibenanlenkung so ein, dass die Taumelscheibe von allen Seiten im rechten Winkel zur Hauptrotorwelle steht. Des Weiteren sollte der Blattanstellwinkel 0° betragen und die Paddel waagerecht stehen. Nach dem Einstellen befestigen Sie diese an der Taumelscheibe und den Servoshebeln. Der Abstand von Servomitte zum Anlenkpunkt sollte 8 – 10 mm betragen. Dieser Abstand muss bei allen Servos identisch sein! 8. Kabinenhaube Stückliste: E460 Kabinenhaube Hornet x 1

1) Schneiden Sie die Kabinenhaube an den Linien entlang aus. Fügen Sie beide Hälften zusammen und fixieren diese mit Klebestreifen. Markieren Sie die Befestigungspunkte an der Kabinenhaube und bohren die Löcher mit dem Durchmesser 0,8 mm. Lackieren Sie die Kabinenhaube nach Ihren Wünschen mit Lexan Farbe, von innen oder außen. 2) Abschließend bringen Sie das Dekorset E461 nach Ihren Wünschen auf das Modell an. 9. Aktivieren Sie an Ihrer Fernsteuerung das Helimix Programm, speziell hier den Taumelscheiben Mischer (Swash Mix) HR3. Korrigieren Sie die Servolaufrichtung. Pitch max -> Taumelscheibe bewegt sich nach unten (Servo Arme nach unten) . Nick nach vorne -> die hinteren Servos sich nach oben, das vordere Servo nach unten. Bei Roll rechts -> bewegt sich das rechte Servo nach unten und das linke Servo nach oben. Verwenden Sie die Servos MS-15 und MS-10 so stellen Sie im Swash Mix Programm 60% für Roll und Nick, und 30% für Pitch ein. Achtung! Die Verringerung des Anstellwinkels bewirkt, dass die Taumelscheibe sich nach unten bewegt. Prüfen Sie bitte erneut die Gestängelänge. In der Neutral Servoposition (achten Sie bitte darauf, das die Trimmung auf neutral steht) steht die Taumelscheibe waagerecht, die Hauptrotorblätter haben eine Anstellung von 0°, die Paddel stehen ebenfalls waagerecht und der Drosselknüppel befindet sich bei 50% (Halbgas) . Die Servohebel müssen waagerecht stehen. Um die Blattanstellung zu überprüfen, benutzen Sie bitte die beiliegende Pitchlehre. Bau der Pitchlehre. Schneiden Sie die beiden Hälften der Pitchlehre aus dem Vordruck aus. Und biegen Sie die Lehre an den markierten Stellen. Beim Ausschneiden seien Sie bitte sehr sorgfältig, nur so kann gewährleistet werden, dass die Lehre funktioniert. Passen Sie deshalb die Lehre an die

8) Našroubovat sestavu podvozku na základnu rámu pomocí šroubů E055 a matic E056. 9) Na základnu rámu E402 přišroubovat šrouby E405 kuličky kloubů E404, zajistit maticemi E050. Všechny šroubové spoje doporučujeme zajistit proti povolení např. přípravkem Loctite 242.

Krok 2. Postupujte dle obrázků pro krok 2. 1) Nalisovat pastorek E118 na náhon E417. Náhon E417 je v sáčku s ocasní trubkou. 2) Navléknout ložisko L0261 na náhon k pastorku.Ložiska L0265 navléknout na náhon a lehce je přilepit-pozor aby lepidlo nezateklo do ložisek! 3) Náhon s ložisky nasunout do trubky E416. 4) Na trubku nasunout skříň vrtulky E425-POZOR - nelepit ani jinak neupevňovat! 5) Do skříně vrtulky vložit ložiska L0261a L0361. 6) Na vyčnívající konec náhonu E417 nalisovat kuželové kolo E028 s nasazeným ložiskem L0361 tak, aby ložisko dosedlo na doraz do trubky E417. Náhon se musí otáčet naprosto volně! V případě potřeby jej uvolnit vymezením minimální vůle mezi oběma konci náhonu, například vsunutím břitu velmi tenkého nože mezi pastorek E118 a ložisko L0261. 7) Do klece smykátka E091 vložit z obou stran ložiska L0360. 8) Do ložisek vložit pouzdro smykátka E250 ze strany, kde je na kleci umístěn ovládací čep. 9) Na závit pouzdra smykátka našroubovat páku smykátka E129, přičemž je nutno přidržet pouzdro kleštěmi za osazení a páku dotáhnout tak, aby se ložiska volně otáčela, ale aby klec nevykazovala vůli vůči páce smykátka. POZOR! Při montáži je nutno dbát na kolmost páky smykátka vůči pouzdru! 10) Kompletní smykátko nasunout na hřídel s hlavou vrtulky E431 - musí se pohybovat naprosto lehce po hřídeli. 11) Do ložiska L0361 ve skříni vrtulky vložit kuželové kolo E028 a rozepřít rozpěrkou E038. 12) Nalisovat hřídel vrtulky s hlavou vrtulky E431 tak, aby hrana hřídele byla zároveň s vnější plochou ložiska L0261. 13) Přisunout skříň vrtulky E425 a usadit zubovou vůli na kuželových kolech E028. Převod se musí otáčet zlehka a bez zbytečně velké zubové vůle! Skříň vrtulky poté stáhnout šroubem E055 a maticí E056. 14) Nasadit páku E026 na čep skříně vrtulky a na ovládací čep na kleci smykátka a několikrát zahýbat pákou do krajních poloh aby se uvolnil otvor pro pohyb ovládacího čepu v páce. Opět je nutné, aby vše fungovalo zcela lehce. Zajistit páku na čepu skříně vrtulky pomocí plastového kroužku E027. Ten je třeba zvenku lehce zakápnout lepidlem. Pozor, aby se lepidlo nedostalo do otočného uložení páky! 15) Do závitových otvorů v hlavě vrtulky nanést mazací tuk a našroubovat svorníky E058. Použití mazacího tuku je nutné - olej vlivem odstředivých sil snadno odstříkne a může dojít k zakusování závitů (což má za následek zpoždění reakcí na řízení ocas. rotoru). 16) Na svorníky poté našroubovat závěsy vrtulky E032 na doraz a poté je otočit zpět do provozní polohy tak, aby umožňovaly pohyb v celém rozsahu výchylky. Pozor, při montáži je nutné zachovat souosost závěsů vůči svorníkům!

17) Do otvorů v závěsech nasunout a případně zalepit čepy E033. 18) Ohnout konce páky smykátka a navléknout jejich otvory na čepy závěsů vrtulky. Celá sestava se musí pohybovat naprosto lehce, v případě potřeby uvolnit otvory v páce smykátka pro volný pohyb čepů závěsů vrtulky. 19) Nasadit vrtulky E036 do závěsů a zašroubovat šrouby E034 tak, aby se vrtulky mohly volně pohybovat, ale neplandaly. Postupujte dle obrázku pro krok 3. 1) Do dílu E074 vsunout čepy E115 tak, aby končily zároveň se spodní stranou montážní plochy a vyčnívaly směrem vzhůru. V případě potřeby je lze do otvorů zalepit. 2) Do otvorů v hlavě rotoru E075 vložit zevnitř kovové závitové vložky E077 a zakápnout řídkým kyanoakrylátovým lepidlem. 3) Zkompletovaný unašeč stabilizátoru E074 nasunout na rotorový hřídel E066 tak, aby otvory pro čep v dílu E074 a v hřídeli E066 byly souosé a průchozí - zkontrolovat vizuálně proti světlu a nejlépe vyzkoušet nasunutím a vyjmutím čepu E115. Uložení unašeče na hřídeli je poměrně těsné z důvodu zamezení vzniku vůlí při provozu. 4) Hlavu rotoru E075 nasadit na hřídel E066 s nainstalovaným unašečem stabilizátoru E074 tak, aby bylo možné vsunout čep E115 do otvorů ve všech třech součástech zároveň. Tím dojde ke kyvnému uložení rotorové hlavy na hřídeli rotoru. Čep E115 musí být nasunut v celé délce a neměl by přesahovat přes vnější stěny hlavy rotoru E075. 5) Do vzniklého prostoru zespodu mezi hlavou rotoru E075 a unašečem stabilizátoru E074 instalovat gumové O kroužky E 082 (3 ks. ). Pro montáž je vhodné použít nástroje se zaoblenými hranami aby nedošlo k poškození O kroužků, např. tupou stranu párátka nebo hrot propisovací tužky. Pro správné usazení kroužků po montáži několikrát zakývat hlavou rotoru kolem čepu E115. 6) Dvojice ložisek L0265 nasunout do závěsů listů E076. POZOR! Klece všech ložisek musí být orientovány dovnitř závěsu listu (při pohledu zvenčí jsou vidět kuličky ložiska). Při opačné orientaci ložisek může dojít k uvolnění závěsu odstředivou silou. 7) Kompletní závěsy listů E076 namontovat pomocí šroubů E055 na hlavu rotoru E075. Šrouby dotáhnout velmi citlivě imbusovým klíčem E063. Pro zajištění šroubů proti povolení je vhodné použít zajišťovač LOCTITE nebo podobný. POZOR! Pouze minimální množství na špičku šroubu, aby se vyloučilo vniknutí přípravku do ložisek a jejich následnému znehybnění. Závěsy se musí pohybovat naprosto volně bez zadrhávání. 8)

Krok 4. STABILIZÁTOR Seznam součástek: E147 - Drát stabilizátoru se závity E052 - Červík M3x3 E072 - Domek stabilizátoru E083 - Červík M3x4 osazený

Postupujte dle obrázku pro krok 4. 1) Do domku stabilizátoru E072 nasunout na doraz ložiska L0260. 2) Kompletní domek stabilizátoru E072 vložit do výřezu v loži stabilizátoru E073 a z obou stran zašroubovat červíky E083. Domek stabilizátoru E072 musí být v loži stabilizátoru E073 zajištěn bez vůlí, ale s možností volného kývání.

1) Stecken Sie die Rotorwelle E066 von oben durch die Kugellager im Chassis E401. 2) Schieben Sie von unten das Hauptzahnrad E102 auf die Rotorwelle E066 und verdrehen Sie diese bis die Bohrungen deckungsgleich sind. Danach befestigen Sie beides mit dem Stift E115. 3) Drücken Sie nun das Hauptzahnrad E102 nach oben. Danach schieben Sie den Stellring nach unten, und befestigen diesen mit dem Gewindestift E052. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Welle E066 kein axiales Spiel aufweist. 4) Schieben Sie den Höheleitwerkhalter an der Heckausleger. 5) Schieben Sie den vormontierten Heckausleger in das Chassis E401. 6) Schieben Sie die Schraube E055 in der Befestigungring der Chassis E401. Die Mutter E056 einschrauben, aber nich befestigen. 7) Stellen Sie das Zahnflankenspiel zwischen E102 und E118 so ein, dass es kein Spiel aufweist, dennoch leichtgängig ist. 8) Der Heckausleger in die Chassis befestigen durch die Schraube E055. 9) Drücken Sie das gewünschte Zahnrad auf die Motorwelle des Motors E010. Für den 7 Zellen Betrieb empfehlen wir das 11 Zähne Ritzel E084. 10) Befestigen Sie den Motor E010 mit den Schrauben E411 in das Chassis E401. Stellen Sie hierbei das Zahnflankenspiel zwischen Motorritzel und Hauptzahnrad so ein, dass es kein Spiel aufweist, dennoch leichtgängig ist. 11) Kleben Sie die Befestigungsplatte E024, mit Abstand von 8-10 mm vom Chassis, an das Heckrohr E416. 12) Verkleben Sie das Seitenleitwerk E064 mit dem Heckrohr E016. Achten Sie darauf, dass das Seitenleitwerk parallel zu der Hauptrotorwelle ist. 13) Kleben Sie ein die Kugelgelenke E421 an die Heckausleger Unterstützungstäbe E449. 14) Die Kugegelenke an die Kugeln E404 befestigen (Hinterteil der Chassis) wie abgezeigt. Die andere Ende der Unterstützungstäbe E442 an der Höheleitwerkhalter E419 einsetzen. Die Symmetrie überprüfen und den Höheleitwerkhalter E419 zu die Heckrohre zukleben. 15) Verkleben Sie der Höheleitwerk mit dem Höheleitwerkhalter E419. 16) Vervollständigen Sie das Anlenkgestänge für den Heckrotor. Dazu verkleben Sie einen Gabelkopf E420 mit dem Gestänge E422. Die Länge des Gestänges richtet sich je nach Typ von Servo und Anlenkhebel. 7. Endmontage des Helikopters

1) Befestigen Sie das Heckrotorservo mit doppelseitigem Klebeband an die Servohalterung MS-E024. Der Servohebel sollte einen Abstand von 8 mm zum Heckrohr haben. Der Servohebel zielt unter die Heckrohre. 2) Clipsen Sie die vormontierte Heckanlenkung an den Heckhebel MS-E026. Schieben Sie den Gabelkopf E020 auf die andere Seite der Anlenkung. Befestigen Sie den Gabelkopf wie der Gyro Hersteller empfiehl. Für MS gyroscopes ist die Distanz von der Mitte 8-10 mm. Noch nicht verkleben! 3) Fertigen Sie die Gestänge für die Taumelscheibe mit den Teilen Gabelkopf E020, Kugelgelenk E021

5) Nun schieben Sie die drei Dämpfungsgummis E082 von unten auf die Rotorwelle E066 und in den Freiraum zwischen Zentralstück E074 und Rotorkopf E075. Für eine einfachere Montage empfehlen wir die Dämpfungsgummis E082 mit einer Seifenlauge zu befeuchten. Danach bewegen Sie den Rotorkopf einige Male hin und her, damit sich die Gummis setzen können. 6) In die Blatthalter E076 schieben Sie je zwei Kugellager L0265 mit geschlossene Seite nach Innen. (vom Aussen sind die Kugel sichtbar). Falsche Orientation kann die Loslassung der Blatthalter verursachen! 7) Befestigen Sie nun die mit Kugellager ausgerüstete Blatthalter mit den Inbusschrauben E055 an den Rotorkopf. Benutzen Sie bitte Schraubensicherung (Loctite 243) R5074 oder ähnliches Schraubensicherungsmittel. Achten Sie bitte darauf, das kein Schraubensicherungsmittel in die Kugellager gelangt. Die Blatthalter müssen sich frei und leichtgängig bewegen lassen. 4. Schieben Sie die Kugellager L0260 von außen in die Stabiwippe E072. Fügen Sie nun die vormontierte Stabiwippe in den Stabihalter E073 und befestigen diesen mit den Gewindestiften mit Zapfen E083. Achten Sie darauf, das sich die Stabiwippe frei bewegen lässt und kein Spiel aufweist. Schieben Sie jetzt die Stabisteuerung E071 auf die Stabiwippe und bringen Sie die Bohrung für die Paddelstange E147 zur Deckungsgleichheit. Nun schieben Sie die Paddelstange E147 durch beide Bauteile und vermitteln diese, so das die Stabiwippe genau in der Mitte sitzt. Befestigen Sie die Stabisteuerung E071 mit den Gewindestiften E052 durch die Stellringe. Achten Sie nochmals darauf, dass die Stabistange E147 mittig positioniert ist. Montieren Sie nun die Paddel E148 auf der Paddelstange E047. Schrauben Sie die Paddel auf die Stange und einstellen Sie diese parallel zur Stabisteuerung E071 und zu sich selbst. Überprüfen Sie zum Schluss nochmals die Parallelität. Die Paddel müssen vollsymmetrisch eingeschraubt sein - die Distanz von der Rotorachse zu Paddel muss für beide Paddel unbedingt gleich sein, um die Vibrationen zu vermeiden.

Schrauben Sie den Gewindestift E058 in das Kugelgelenk E021. Danach schrauben Sie das Kugelgelenk kurz E079 auf den Gewindestift, so das sich ein Maß von 20mm ergibt (siehe Zeichnung). Die richtige Gestängelänge ist sehr wichtig um einen einwandfreien Betrieb zu gewährleisten. Schieben Sie die Stabisteuerung auf die Rotorwelle E066, so das die Stifte E115 vom Zentralstück MS-E074 in die Aufnahmeschlitze der Stabisteuerung E073 passen. Clipsen Sie die Doppelgelenke E070 an die Stabisteuerung E071. Beachten Sie bitte die Montagerichtung. Schieben Sie die Taumelscheibe E092 von unten auf die Rotorwelle E066. Clipsen Sie die Doppelgelenke E070 an den Taumelscheiben Innenring. Achten Sie auf die Zeichnung! Bitte die Doppelkugelgelenke, die in 1. erstellt wurde, an die Kugeln der Stabiwippe E072 und die Blatthalter E076. Schieben Sie den Stellring E067 mit dem Gewindestift E052 von unten auf die Rotorwelle E066. Achten Sie darauf, das der Ansatz am Stellring nach unten zeigt.

3) Na vnější konce domku stabilizátoru E072 nasadit páku kolektivu E071 a otvory v obou součástech protáhnout drát stabilizátoru E147. Míra obou vyčnívajících konců drátu stabilizátoru E147 musí být stejná. 4) Do kovových kroužků páky kolektivu E071 našroubovat červíky E052 a po správném ustředění drátu stabilizátoru E147 červíky citlivě dotáhnout imbus klíčem E063 (ze sáčku 6). Pozor, při příliš silném utažení červíků může dojít k průhybu drátu stabilizátoru! 5) Na drát stabilizátoru E147 našroubovat plošky stabilizátoru E148. Plošky nastavit rovnoběžně s pákou kolektivu E071 i mezi sebou navzájem při pohledu z boku v podélné ose drátu stabilizátoru. 6) Zkontrolovat, zda vzdálenost obou plošek stabilizátoru od osy rotoru je stejná. Případná asymetrie způsobí vibrace modelu!

Správná délka těchto táhel je velmi důležitá pro zajištění dosažitelnosti správných maximálních a minimálních úhlů nastavení rotoru. 2) Kompletní sestavu stabilizátoru nasunout ložem stabilizátoru E073 na konec hřídele E066 a jehel E115 vyčnívajících z unašeče stabilizátoru E074. 3) Nasadit vodící táhla E070 horní částí na kuličky kloubů umístěné v páce kolektivu E071. Táhla musí být orientována tak, aby jejich vyosené tělo směřovalo vně od osy kloubu a od osy rotoru viz obr. 5. 4) Na hřídel rotoru E066 nasunout zespodu kompletní desku cykliky E092 a na dva protilehlé klouby horní části cykliky nasadit spodní části vodících táhel E070. 5) Táhly sestavenými dle bodu 1. spojit klouby na domku stabilizátoru E072 s klouby závěsů listů E076. Na hřídel rotoru E066 zespodu nasunout stavěcí kroužek E067 s červíkem E052 tak, aby osazení pro opření ložiska směřovalo dolů. 6)

Postupujte dle obrázku pro krok 6. 1) Hřídel rotoru E066 s kompletní rotorovou hlavou nasunout do ložisek v rámu vrtulníku E401. 2) Na hřídel nainstalovat hlavní kolo E102 pomocí čepu E115 (Sada součástek č.3). 3) Zajistit hřídel rotoru proti posuvu v axiálním směru dotažením červíku E052 v stavěcím kroužku E067, který se opírá o horní ložisko v rámu vrtulníku.Pro vymezení axiální vůle nepoužívat velkou sílu - volný chod ložisek rotorového hřídele musí být zachován.

4) Na trubku E416 nasunout držák VOP E419, nelepit. 5) Do rámu vrtulníku vsunout trubku s kompletní sestavou ocasního rotoru. 6) Do rámu E401 nasunout šroub E055 a našroubovat matici E056 - neutahovat. 7) Vymezit zubovou vůli mezi kuželovým ozubením na hlavním kole E102 a pastorkem náhonu vrtulky E118 posunutím trubky tak, aby kola byla v záběru bez zbytečně velké zubové vůle, ale aby se soukolí otáčelo zlehka. 8) Zajistit trubku proti pohybu dotažením šroubu E055 a matice E056 v rámu vrtulníku. Pozor na zachování geometrie ocasního rotoru. Při pohledu zezadu na vrtulník musí hřídel vrtulky svírat pravý úhel s hřídelí nosného rotoru. 9) Na motor E010 nasadit vhodný pastorek-pro provoz na 7 článků doporučujeme 11 zubů E084, viz tabulka v obrazové příloze. 10) Do rámu vrtulníku nainstalovat motor E010 pomocí šroubů E411. Šrouby dotáhnout s citem, aby se nezdeformovaly upevňovací patky na rámu vrtulníku. Pozor, před dotažením šroubů je nutno nastavit zubovou vůli mezi pastorkem motoru a hlavním ozubeným kolem. Převod se musí otáčet zlehka a bez zbytečně velké zubové vůle. 11) Přilepit držák serva vrtulky E024 na střed k trubce E416 asi 8 - 10 mm od rámu vrtulníku tak, aby jeho hrana byla rovnoběžná s hřídelí rotoru. 12) Přilepit svislou ocasní plochu E443 na trubku vertikálně těsně ke skříni vrtulky. 13) Na konec ocasních vzpěr E449 přilepit kloubky E421. 14) Kloubky se vzpěrami nacvaknout na kuličky E404 na základně rámu E402 a na druhý konec vzpěr nasunout držák VOP E419. Zkontrolovat vodorovnost horní hrany držáku VOP a přilepit jej k trubce E014. 15) K držáku VOP E419 přilepit VOP E444. Pozor na souměrnost VOP a její kolmost k ocasní trubce. 16) Zkompletovat táhlo vrtulky E422 s vidličkami E420. Přilepit k táhlu pouze jednu vidličku a druhou ponechat volně pro pozdější nastavení správné délky táhla. Krok 7. MONTÁŽ RC VYBAVENÍ Postupujte dle obrázku pro krok 7. 1) Servo vrtulky přilepit pomocí oboustranné lepící pásky na držák E024 tak, aby páka serva byla asi 8mm pod úrovní ocasní trubky, páka směřuje pod trubku ocasního rotoru. 2) Nainstalovat táhlo vrtulky E422 s přilepenou vidličkou na páku vrtulky E026 a opačný konec s nepřilepenou vidličkou instalovat na páku serva. Postupujte dle doporučení výrobce gyra. Pro MS gyra je vzdálenost 8 - 10mm od osy uložení páky. 3) Zkompletovat táhla pro ovládání cykliky z kloubů E021, vidliček E020 a svorníků E058, jejich délka bude závislá na typu použitých serv. 4) Na rám vrtulníku přilepit kyanoakrylátovým lepidlem držák serv E407 a nosník kabiny E414. Nosník kabiny E414 prochází drážkou ve spodní straně držáku E407 a oba vyčnívající konce E414 musí být stejně dlouhé. 5) Na držák serv E407 nalepit serva pomocí oboustranné leící pásky tak, aby táhla od pák serv byla co nejkolměji k rovině cykliky. Přední servo cykliky zatím nelepit! protože po zalepení serv není přístupný upevňovací šroub páky. Servo přilepit až po nastavení RC soupravy a určení správné polohy páky (viz kapitola „Seřízení a nastavení“). 6) Existuje několik variant rozmístění serv řízení na rámu vrtulníku a je možno je využít dle zvyklostí pilota či požadavků použitého systému řízení, uvedený způsob je standardní pro využití ovládání tříbodově v podélné ose modelu, kdy klonění ovládají dvě serva a na klopení se podílí všechna tři serva, systém HR 3, nebo SR 3. Všechna tři serva musí být stejné značky a typu, aby byla zaručena shodná rychlost i velikost jejich výchylek, což je nutné ke správné funkci řízení. 7) Pomocí oboustranné lepící pěnové pásky nainstalovat přijímač na rám vrtulníku. 8) Gyro instalovat dle jeho návodu k použití a s použitím pěnové oboustranné lepící pásky dodávané ke gyru. 9) Regulátor lze přilepit oboustrannou páskou na spodní stranu držáku RC výbavy v přední části základny rámu. 10) Oživení a nastavení RC soupravy je vhodné z bezpečnostních důvodů provést před připojením motoru k regulátoru.

am Heckrohrende anliegen. Achten Sie auf Spielfreiheit und Leichtgängigkeit! 7) Drücken Sie die Kugellager L0360 in die Schiebehülse E091. 8) Stecken Sie nun die Hülse E250 in die Schiebehülse E091. Achten Sie darauf, dass der Stift an der Schiebehülse zum Flansch ausgerichtet ist. 9) Schrauben Sie den Anlenkhebel E129 auf die MS Hülse E250. Die Kugellager müssen sich spielfrei und leichtgängig bewegen lassen. Achtung: Der Anlenkhebel E129 muss dicht an die Schiebehülse E091 anliegen! 10) Schieben Sie nun die vormontierte Einheit auf die Heckwelle mit Nabe E431. Achten Sie auf eine leichtgängige und spielfreie Anlenkung. 11) Stecken Sie nun das zweite Zahnrad 45° MS-E028 in der Kugellager L0361 und setzen Sie das Distanzstück E038 in das Heckgetriebegehäuse ein, wie in der Zeichnung dargestellt. 12) Schieben Sie nun die komplette Heckrotorwelle E037 mit der Schiebehülse durch das vorbereitete Heckgetriebegehäuse E425, so dass das eine Ende der Welle bündig mit dem Kugellager L0261 ist. 13) Justieren Sie das Heckgetriebegehäuse mit den Zahnrädern so, dass sich ein optimales Zahnflankenspiel einstellt. Danach befestigen Sie das Heckgetriebegehäuse MS-E425 mit der Schraube E055 und Mutter E056. 14) Stecken Sie den Anlenkhebel E026 auf den Bolzen am Heckgetriebegehäuse E025. Bewegen Sie den Hebel sehr oft, damit sich dieser mit der Schiebehülse einarbeitet und leichtgängig funktioniert. Alles muss sich spielfrei bewegen lassen. Sichern Sie nun den Anlenkhebel E025 mit dem Sicherungsring E027. Danach verkleben Sie den Sicherungsring E027 mit dem Bolzen am Heckgetriebegehäuse E025 mit CA- Kleber. Achten Sie darauf, dass kein Klebstoff die Bewegungsfreiheit beeinflusst. 15) Schrauben Sie die Gewindestifte E058 in die Nabe E031. Fetten Sie bitte die Gewindestifte vor dem Einschrauben. Benutzen Sie nicht Öl, sondern Vaseline. Dadurch verbessert sich die Ansteuerung der Heckrotorfunktion. 16) Schrauben Sie die Blatthalter E032 soweit wie möglich auf die Gewindestifte E058. Achten Sie hierbei darauf, das beide Seiten gleich weit aufgeschraubt werden, um keine Unwucht entstehen zu lassen. Danach drehen Sie jeden Blatthalter auf die normale Anlenkposition. Achten Sie darauf, dass der volle Servoweg am Blatthalter zur Verfügung steht! 17) Stecken Sie nun die Stifte E033 in die Bohrungen der Blatthalter E032. Danach fixieren Sie sorgfältig die Stifte mit CA- Kleber. 18) Verbiegen Sie den Anlenkhebel E129 um die Blatthalter E032 mit den Stiften E033 anzulenken. Die gesamte Einheit muss sich spielfrei und leichtgängig bewegen lassen. Falls nötig lassen sich auch die Bohrungen im Anlenkhebel E129 mit einer Nadel oder Bohrer leicht aufweiten. 19) Montieren Sie die Heckrotorblätter E036 an die Blatthalter E032 mit den Schrauben E034. Die Blätter müssen sich leichtgängig bewegen lassen, damit diese sich im Betrieb ausrichten können. 3. Stecken Sie die Stahlstifte E115 soweit in das Zentralstück E074, das diese bündig abschließen. Die Stifte können mit CA- Kleber gesichert werden. Stecken Sie die Gewindeeinsätze E077 von innen in den Rotorkopf E075. Benutzen Sie CA- Kleber sparsam und vorsichtig, zum sichern. Schieben Sie das Zentralstück E074 von oben auf die Rotorwelle E066 wie in der Zeichnung dargestellt. Achten Sie dabei darauf, dass die Bohrung der Rotorwelle mit der Bohrung in dem Zentralstück deckungsgleich ist. Das Zentralstück soll sehr stramm auf der Rotorwelle sitzen. Für eine bessere Montage der Dämpfungsgummis E082 empfehlen wir Ihnen das Zentralstück an dem zylindrischem Schaft von außen etwas abzurunden Schieben Sie nun den Rotorkopf E075 von unten auf die Rotorwelle E066, so das der Stift E115 alle drei Bauteile (E075, E066 und E074) befestigt. Der Rotorkopf muss sich frei bewegen lassen! Der Stift E115 muss komplett in den Rotorkopf E075 eingesetzt sein.

1) Drücken Sie das Kegelritzel E118 auf die Antriebswelle E417. 2) Schieben Sie das Kugellager L0261 mit dem Flansch auf die Antriebswelle E417. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Seite mit dem Flansch am Ritzel anliegt. Schieben Sie jetzt zwei Kugellager L0265 auf die Antriebswelle E417, und platzieren Sie diese equidistant auf drittel Länge der Antriebswelle. Verkleben Sie den Innenring den Kugellager L0265 mit der Antriebswelle E417. Achten Sie darauf, dass kein Kleber in das Kugellager gelangt. 3) Schieben Sie nun die vormontierte Antriebseinheit in das Heckrohr E416. 4) Schieben Sie das Heckgetriebegehäuse E425 auf die andere Seite von dem Heckrohr E417. Nicht verkleben!! 5) Stecken Sie das Kugellager L0361 und das Kugellager L0261 an die Position wie in der Zeichnung dargestellt in das Heckgetriebegehäuse E425. 6) Drücken Sie das Kugellager L0361 auf das Zahnrad 45° E028 und die gesamte Einheit auf die Antriebswelle E417 und in das Heckrohr E416. Der Flansch des Kugellagers L0361 muss dicht

11) Po nakonfigurování RC soupravy – viz kapitola „Nastavení a seřízení“ – a po vytrimování serv do neutrálních poloh je možno nainstalovat ovládací páky serv. Ty musí být v neutrálních polohách vodorovně, má-li být zaručena správná funkce řízení. Páky serv zajistit příslušnými šroubky. 12) Nastavit délky ovládacích táhel tak, aby při neutrální poloze serv byla deska cykliky v neutrální poloze, tedy ze všech bočních pohledů kolmá k hřídeli rotoru. Dále by v neutrální poloze měl být na závěsech rotorových listů nulový úhel náběhu, viz dále. Po nastavení správných délek je možno táhla nainstalovat. Vzdálenost uchycení vidliček na pákách serv by se měla pohybovat mezi 8-10mm od osy uložení páky. POZOR, tyto vzdálenosti musí být na všech třech servech ovládání cykliky stejné! V opačném případě nebude zajištěna správná funkce řízení!

Krok 8. KOMPLETACE KABINY A OCASNÍCH PLOCH E460 – Kabina 1x E461 – Sada samolepek 1x

1) Kabinu vystřihnout dle předlisovaných obvodových čar, poté sesadit obě poloviny do zámku a slepit vteřinovým lepidlem. Lze si pomoci kousky lepící pásky, kterou spojíme poloviny kabiny a po doladění vzájemné polohy zevnitř kabinu slepíme lepidlem. 2) Propíchnout zevnitř předznačené otvory pro uchycení kabiny na nosník kabiny. Otvory musí být o trochu menší než je průměr příčky, aby na ní kabina dostatečně držela i bez dalšího zajištění, případně lze na koncích nosníku kabiny vytvořit malé kapky vteřinového lepidla pro lepší zajištění kabiny. 3) K povrchové úpravě kabiny lze použít například barvy na lexan ve spreji určené pro lakování karoserií modelů aut, aplikované zvenku popřípadě zevnitř ještě před vystřižením a slepením polovin kabiny. Před nanesením barvy je nutno vykrýt okna kabiny samolepící páskou, která zabrání nanesení barvy na tato místa. Pásku po zaschnutí barvy odstranit. 4) Konečnou povrchovou úpravu provést pomocí přiloženého aršíku samolepek E461. 5) Stejným způsobem provést povrchovou úpravu i na svislé a vodorovné ocasní ploše. 9, 1) 2) 3)

NASTAVENÍ A SEŘÍZENÍ HORNET CP Nastavit na vysílači parametry pro ovládání heli programem HR 3 nebo SR 3 (FUTABA), popřípadě ekvivalentní systém pojmenovaný dle typu a značky vysílače. Upravit smysly výchylek serv ovládání cykliky tak, aby pohyb desky cykliky odpovídal ve správném smyslu pohybu ovládacích pák na vysílači. Viz obr. 2 a 4 obrazové přílohy. Nastavit velikost výchylek serv ovládání cykliky. Standardní nastavení při dodržení uvedených délek pák na servech je pro dodávaná serva MS 10 a MS 15 a použití RC souprav FUTABA 60 procent pro řízení a 30 procent pro ovládání kolektivu. Pozor, při zvyšování pozitivního úhlu náběhu rotoru se cyklika pohybuje směrem dolů a naopak. Nastavit délku táhel pro ovládání cykliky tak, aby v neutrální poloze ovladačů i příslušných trimů byla deska cykliky v nulové poloze-tedy kolmo k hřídeli rotoru z čelního i bočního pohledu (páky serv musí být vodorovně!, páka ovládání kolektivu-plynu musí být také v neutrální poloze, tedy v 50 procentech dráhy). V této pozici by měl být na rotorových listech nulový úhel nastavení. Tím se dosáhne základního seřízení rotorového systému. Samozřejmostí je též nulové nastavení plošek stabilizátoru odpovídající nulovému nastavení cykliky. Viz obr. 2. Pro změření úhlu nastavení rotorových listů je přiložen aršík s předtištěným úhloměrem pro každý list zvlášť. POUŽITÍ ÚHLOMĚRU- obě části úhloměru vystřihnout a ohnout dle obr. Pozor na přesnost zvláště v oblasti výřezů pro nasazení úhloměru na závěsy listů-přesnost měření je úměrná přesnosti zhotovení měřidla. Poté obě části úhloměru nasadit na hranatou část obou závěsů tak, aby mezi stupnicemi byla co nejmenší mezera viz obr. Poté je možno na stupnici odečíst úhel nastavení. Úhloměr je možno použít jak při namontovaných listech rotoru, tak i bez nich. Nastavit tálo vrtulky tak, aby seřízení vrtulky odpovídalo obr. 3.To znamená, že po sklopení listů vrtulky na jednu stranu bude mezi konci listů vzdálenost cca 30mm, samozřejmě při neutrální poloze serva vrtulky. Poté přilepit druhou vidličku k táhlu.

8) Pro nastavení předvoleb plynu bude nutno aktivovat REVO mix a nastavit jej pro jednotlivé předvolby dle potřeby a zvyklostí pilota (nastavení a aktivace REVO mixu záleží na typu použitého gyra). Účelem REVO mixu je kompenzace dlouhodobých změn reakčního momentu nosného rotoru způsobených změnou úlu náběhu rotorových listů při řízení. REVO mix je nutno nastavit tak, aby při plynulé změně úhlu náběhu nosného rotoru nedocházelo k nežádoucímu pootáčení vrtulníku kolem svislé osy. To znamená, že při zvyšování úhlu náběhu nosného rotoru se musí adekvátně zvyšovat úhel náběhu ocasní vrtulky a naopak. 9) Základní nastavení maximálního úhlu náběhu nosného rotoru je závislé na zvoleném převodovém poměru (viz Tab. 1), výkonu motoru a kvalitě pohonných akumulátorů. Při použití standardního motoru, akumulátoru a pastorku střední velikosti -11 zubů je průměrná mezní hodnota 10°. Nastavení těchto hodnot je nutno ověřit za letu. Pro ověřování je vhodné použít pohonné akumulátory vybité zhruba na 50 procent kapacity, což zaručí že maximální úhel bude dostatečný a zároveň nebude příliš velký po částečném vybití akumulátoru za letu. Příliš velký maximální úhel způsobuje citelné zkrácení doby letu a zároveň může způsobit velké přetížení pohonného systému při vybírání krizových situací za letu, vedoucí ke ztrátě otáček nosného rotoru a následné havárii. Dalším nežádoucím jevem spojeným s příliš velkým maximálním úhlem náběhu nosného rotoru jsou prudké změny otáček systému při necitlivé manipulaci s ovladačem kolektivu – plynu, mající za následek náhlé změny polohy vrtulníku kolem svislé osy. Tomuto jevu nezabrání ani správně nastavený REVO mix, ani gyro. Správně nastavený rozsah úhlů náběhu s odpovídajícím proladěním výkonu motoru v závislosti na momentálním nastavení úhlu v průběhu celé dráhy ovladače kolektivu-plynu poskytuje stabilní chování vrtulníku s dostatečnou rezervou výkonu pro stoupavý let bez náhlého kolísání otáček rotorového systému a optimální využití letových vlastností ve všech režimech letu. Maximální úhel náběhu je omezen dorazem tvořeným dosedací plochou unašeče stabilizátoru E074 proti dosedací ploše lože stabilizátoru E073 a činí plus 15°, což je dostatečná rezerva i pro maximální využití energie rotoru při autorotaci. Minimální úhel náběhu je omezen délkou vodících čepů E115. Pro let na zádech je záporný úhel nastavení na maximální úrovni 10°. Pro normální režimy letu však postačuje menší záporný úhel, cca –2° až –3°, což umožňuje bezpečné klesání při sestupném letu. 10) Po základním nastavení lze připájet napájecí kablíky k motoru.Pozor na polaritu, aby byl zaručen správný smysl otáčení rotoru.Ten je pravotočivý při pohledu na vrtulník shora. Dále je třeba dbát opatrnosti při prvním zapnutí po připojení motoru, aby byl správně nastavený smysl výchylky plynového ovladače. 11) Nainstalovat rotorové listy E488 pomocí šroubů E078, které je nutno dotáhnout tak, aby se listy mohly pohybovat vpřed a vzad.Nesmí však být zcela volné, aby nedošlo ke sklopení listů při rozběhu motoru.To by mohlo mít za následek poškození ocasní trubky a listů. 12) Seřízení roviny listů. Kontroluje se pohledem v rovině otáčejícího se rotoru, např. při visení. Pro správnou funkci rotorového systému bez vibrací je nutné, aby oba rotorové listy běžely v jedné stopě. V případě, že se listy viditelně rozcházejí je třeba provést korekci pomocí změny délky jednoho z táhel závěsů listů. U listu, který běží níže, je nutno prodloužit táhlo pootočením kloubů ve smyslu povolení závitu. U listu s vyšší stopou naopak. Korekci je nutno provádět postupně po 1/2 závitu, aby nedošlo k rozladění opačným směrem. 13) Otáčky nosného rotoru by se měly pohybovat v rozmezí 1900 až 2100 ot. /min. Je proto vhodné nastavit průběh plynové křivky tak, aby pokud možno nedocházelo ke změnám otáček v celém rozsahu provozních úhlů náběhu rotoru. Zejména je nutné zamezit přetáčení systému při úhlech náběhu blízkých nule. To zvyšuje nároky na vyvážení celého systému a může vést k rozkmitání ocasní části modelu. ZÁVADY A JEJICH ODSTRANĚNÍ V případě potíží s řízením vrtulky je vhodné provést zkoušku volnosti chodu řízení s odpojeným táhlem řízení a roztočením systému na provozní otáčky - řízení musí fungovat volně. V opačném případě je nutné odstranit příčinu odporu uvolněním např. i otvorů pro čepy závěsů ve smykátku, či otvoru pro čep vidličky v páce vrtulky i v páce serva. Je velmi důležité , aby se smykátko pohybovalo po hřídeli vrtulky naprosto volně.

Der Hornet CP benötigt eine 120° Taumelscheibenanlenkung (CCPM), Ihre Fernsteuerungsanlage muss diese Funktion unterstützen (HR-3; CCPM). MS HORNET II Assembly Instructions Thank you for purchasing a Hornet Micro Helicopter with collective pitch control. Hornet II uses CCPM mixing system, and your transmitter must have this mixing built in to operate the Hornet II. Hornet II is designed for a wide range of RC heli pilots – from beginners to advanced. To ensure you get the best from your Hornet, please follow these instructions carefully. We recommend that you take the time to read the assembly instructions thoroughly BEFORE starting to build the Hornet. WARNING: This RC model helicopter is not a toy. The rotating parts represent an instant source of danger. Never use broken parts, replace even if you only suspect the part might be not in a perfect condition. Use the model only in places suitable for flying. Follow the pictures for Step 1. 1) Fit the Ball Races L0360 into the Main frame E401 - one in the top and one in the bottom. 2) Assemble and glue the Anti-Rotation Pin E009 to the Anti-Rotation Support E008 as shown. 3) Glue the assembled Support to the Main Body E001. The Support Pin should be orientated 180°

2) Press the holes into the Canopy using a needle from the inside out on marked places. You can add small drops of CA at the end of the canopy support to ensure tighter canopy fixing. 3) To complete use Stickers E461.

HORNET II SETUP AND ADJUSTMENT 1) Program the transmitter for the corresponding heli mix program – HR3 or SR3 (for Futaba transmitters), or equivalent for other transmitter types. 2) Set up the servo reversing, so the Swashplate movements correspond to the stick movements. See pics. 2 and 4. 3) Set up the Swashplate servos’ deflections. If the recommended horn length has been used, for MS-15 and MS-10 servos use values of 60% for elevator and roll and 30% for pitch. NOTE: When increasing the positive pitch, the Swashplate moves down. 4) Check again the Connecting Rod lengths. In neutral servo positions (don’t forget to reset the trims) the Swashplate must be perpendicular to the Main Rotor Shaft, the Main Blades pitch must be 0° and the Stabilizer Paddles pitch must be 0° as well. The throttle stick should be at 50% (central stick position) during this check. Furthermore, check the servo horns, which must be horizontal. See Pic. 2. 5) To check the Blade pitch, use the included Pitch Gauge. 6) Pitch Gauge Usage: Cut off and bend both halves of the Pitch Gauge as shown in the picture. Pay attention to cutting as precisely, as you can – the resulting setting accuracy depends on the accuracy of the Pitch Gauge. Put both pitch gauge parts on the square part of the Blade Grips, keeping the gap between the scales as small as possible. The pitch can be read on the scale. 7) Set the Tail Rotor Pushrod length so the pitch shown in the pic. 3 is achieved. The servo is in neutral position. After setup, CA the other Servo Link to the Pushrod. 8) Set up the REVO mix corresponding to your preference and to your gyro settings. REVO mix can be set up to compensate for changing torque when changing the Main Blades’ pitch. 9) The maximal possible pitch angle depends on the Gear Ratio chosen, the Motor and Battery used. If the Standard Motor and Battery pack are used, and the medium Gear Ratio, i.e. pinion with 11 teeth, the maximum pitch angle can be set to 10°. The exact setup can be done only by flight testing. Too much pitch will cause significant shortening of the flight time, and can lead to overload of the Motor and Speed Controller. This situation can result in no power reserve at a critical time. We recommend performing the flight tests and pitch setup with a Battery only charged to 50% capacity, to ensure the pitch angle will be enough to fly when the battery is partially discharged. The maximum positive pitch angle is limited to +15°, which is sufficient reserve for autorotation landings. To perform autorotations, MS-230 upgrade set must be installed. The minimum pitch angle is limited by length of the E015 joints. For inverted flight this should be –10°. For normal flight modes we recommend the negative pitch angle to be set at –2° to –3°, to allow safe and stable flight descent. For autorotation, the angle can be increased to – 5°. 10) The Rotor Blades are fixed to the Blade Grips using Bolts E078, which should be not over tightened. 11) The Blade tracking must be performed in the hover as a part of initial heli setup. Check if the Main Rotor Blades follow one track. If not, correct it by changing the length of the Pitch Connecting Rod. For the low running Blade, the Rod must be extended (and vice versa). If you are unable to determine which Blade is lower, just try and extend one of the Rods. Make the correction slowly – by a half turn only. If it gets worse, extend the Connecting Rod. Try it until the Blades track properly. Troubleshooting

If you experience tail control problems, often the reason is the control system being too tight. The

10) Install the Motor into the Main Frame using bolts E411. Tighten these bolts carefully, to avoid damage to the motor mounts. NOTE: Before tightening the bolts adjust the Main Gear and Motor Pinion mesh. 11) Glue the Tail Servo Holder Plate E024 onto the Tail Boom, approx. 8-10 mm from the Main Frame, It‘s edge parallel to the Tail Boom. 12) CA the Tail Fin E443 to the Tail Boom. 13) CA the Ball Links E421 to the Tail Support Rods E449. 14) Click-on the ball links onto the link balls E404 in the rear part of the main frame assembly. Slide the Vertical Fin Holder E419 onto the Support Rods, check the overall symmetry and CA the E419 to the Tail Boom. 15) CA the Horizontal Fin E444 to its holder E419, watch for symmetry. 16) Complete the tail pushrod E422 - CA one of the servo links E420 to the rod, leave the other free for future adjustment during the RC setup. 7 – RC Installation Follow the pictures for Step 7. 1) Fix the Tail Rotor Servo to the plate E024 using double–sided adhesive tape, so that the Servo Horn is approx. 8 mm below the Tail Boom. The servo horn points under the tail boom. 2) Mount the assembled Tail Rotor Pushrod with the fixed Servo Link to the Tail Pitch Horn, and the other (non-glued) link to the servo horn. Follow the advice of the gyro manufacturer. For MS gyroscopes, the link distance from the horn axis of rotation is 8-10 mm. 3) Complete the Cyclic Control Rods, using E021, E020 and E058. The length of the Rods will depend on the servos used. 4) Using CA glue, fix the Servo Holder E407 for the Swashplate control servos, and the Canopy Support E414. Canopy Support is placed in the slot on the lower servo holder side, and is symmetric (on both ends equally long). 5) Fix the servos to the Servo Holder E407 using quality Double-Sided self adhesive tape. Try to position the servos so the servo links are as perpendicular as possible to the swasplate. Do not fix the front servo at this point - the servo will be fixed after the RC equipment is set up! 6) There are several different ways to attach the servos to the Frame. The system described here is standard for three-point control in the lengthwise model axis, where two servos control the roll and all three servos control the Pitch – This system is normally called HR3 or SR3. All Rotor Head control servos MUST be of the same type as equal servo speed and deflection range is crucial for proper control. 7) Using Double Sided Tape fix the receiver to the Main Frame. 8) Install the Piezo gyro using the Double Sided Tape provided with the gyro. Follow the gyro instructions. 9) Fix the speed controller using double-sided tape to the front part of the Frame Base E402. 10) Because of security reasons, connect the motor to the controller AFTER the RC equipment setup. 11) After setting up the RC equipment (see section SETUP and ADJUSTMENT), centre the servos and install the servo horns. In neutral servo positions the horns must be horizontal. Fix the horns with the screws supplied with the servos. 12) Adjust the length of the Connecting Rods so that the Swashplate is perpendicular in all directions to the Main Shaft when the servos are in their neutral position. Also the Blades pitch angle should be at 0° if servos are in neutral positions. After adjusting the lengths install the Connecting Rods. The distance of the Connecting Rod joint on the servo horn should be 8 – 10 mm from the horn bolt axis. ATTENTION – this distance must be equal on all three servos. 8 – Canopy assembly E460 - Canopy x 1 E461 - Sticker set Hornet II x 1 1) Trim the Canopy halves to the outside lines and assemble the two halves correctly using CA glue. You can help yourself fixing the halves from outside using pieces of self adhesive tape. Paint the canopy with Lexan paint on the outside or, if preferred from the inside before assembling.

to the Main Body, facing backwards as shown in the diagram. Assemble the ndercarriage from the legs E406 and skids E007. Fix the undercarriage legs and skids with CA glue. Assemble and glue the Frame Base E402 and the Frame Support E403. Glue the finished frame with the support into the rear part of the Main Frame E401. Assembly the body and the undercarriage, using bolts E055 and nuts E056. Using bolts E405 and nuts E056 attach the Link Balls E404 to the Frame Base E402, as shown on the picture.

Follow the pictures for Step 2. 1) Press the Pinion Gear E118 onto the Shaft E417. 2) Slide the flanged Ball Bearing L0261 on to the Pinion Gear. NOTE: The flange should face towards the end of the Shaft. Slide two Ball Races L0265 onto the Tail Drive Shaft, distribute evenly on the shaft. Glue in place ensuring no glue gets into the Ball Race. 3) Insert the Tail Drive assembly into the Tail Boom E416. 4) Insert the Tail Boom into the Tail Drive Gearbox E425 – DO NOT GLUE OR FIX! 5) Install the Ball Race L0261 and the Ball Races L0361 into their position in the Tail Drive Gearbox. 6) Slide the L0361 Ball Race onto the Pinion Gear E028 and firmly press the assembly onto the end of the Tail Drive Shaft. The L0361 Ball Race flange must line up with the end of the Tail Boom. Check for free rotation of the moving parts, the Drive Shaft must rotate freely. If needed, adjust the space between the Tail Gear and the Bearing L0261. 7) Insert the Bearings L0360 into the Slider Cage E091. 8) Slide the Tail Slider Bushing E250 into the Bearings from the side of the Horn Pin on the Gearbox. 9) Screw the Tail Slider Horn E129 onto the Bushing E250. The Bearings must move freely, but without play. NOTE: The Tail Slider Horn must be perpendicular to the Bushing! 10) Slide the completed Slider assembly onto the Tail Rotor Shaft. It must move freely. 11) Insert the Tail Gear E028 into the Bearing L0361 and place the Plasic spacer E038 into it’s position. 12) Press the tail rotor shaft with the slider assembly into the gearbox. The shaft rim must line up with the bearing outer surface. 13) Adjust the assembled Tail Gearbox/Gears so the assembly rotates freely without excessive gear play or backlash. Fix the Tail Gear box in place using Screw E055 and Nut E056. 14) Insert the Horn E026 onto the Pin on the Gearbox and onto the Tail Slider Pin. Move the Horn a couple of times to free the joints. Everything must move freely. Fix the Horn onto the Pin using Silicone Retainer E027. Glue the Retainer very carefully to the Pin, avoiding the glue spreading into the Horn opening! 15) Lubricare the holes in the tail rotor hub - use grease, not oil! Insert the Bolts M2x8 into the hub. 16) Screw the Blade Grips E032 onto the Bolts as far as possible, then turn them back into the

‘normal working’ position. This will enable free movement of the Blade Grips across the whole pitch range. NOTE: Ensure the Blade Grip and the Bolt E058 are coaxial! 17) Insert the Pins E033 into the openings in the Blade Grips. 18) Bend the Tail Slider Horn, then install it onto the Pins in the Blade Grips. The whole assembly must move freely. If needed, you can (very carefully) enlarge the holes in the Tail Slider Horns, to free the Tail Blade Grip Pin. 19) Install the Tail Blades E036 into the Grips and fix with E034 Bolts. Follow the Pictures for Step 3. 1) Insert Pin E115 into the Anti Rotation Arm E074, so their ends line up with the bottom surface of E074. The Pins can be glued in their proper position although this is not essential. 2) Install the Metal Inserts E077 into the Rotor Head E075 openings from the inside. CA carefully in position using minimal glue. 3) Install the complete Stabilizer Anti Rotation Arm E074 onto the Main Shaft E066 in such a way that the openings for the Pin E115 are aligned – check by sliding E115 in and out. The Holder fits onto the shaft tightly. We recommend very slightly rounding off the low outer edge of the cylindrical part of E074 for easier insertion of the O Ring E082 – see further steps. 4) Insert the Rotor Head E075 from the bottom onto the main shaft E066 so the Pin E115 can fix all three parts (E075, E066 and E074) together. This enables the Rotor Head to swing. The joint E115 must be inserted completely and should not extend beyond the edges of E075. 5) Push the O Rings E082 into the free space between the rotor head E075 and Stabilizer Anti Rotation Arm E074. For easier assembly, wet the O rings with liquid soap. Use rounded tools to prevent damaging the O Rings. Rotate the Rotor Head around the E115 joint several times to position the O Rings properly. 6) Insert two pairs of L0265 Bearings into the Blade Grips E076. The bearing cage must face inside the holder (balls are visible from outside). If the bearings are not oriented properly, the blade grip can get loose! 7) Fix the completed Blade Grips E076 on to the Rotor Head E075 using Bolts E055. Tighten the Bolts very carefully using Hex Wrench E063. Use Loctite or similar to fix the E055 Bolts. ATTENTION! Do not allow Loctite to get in to the Bearings. The Blade Grips must be able to move absolutely freely.

Follow the Picture for Step 4. 1) Insert the L0260 Bearings into the Stabilizer Lever E072. 2) Insert the Dome assembly into the Stabilizer Anti Rotation Arm E073 and tighten the Grub Screws E083 so the Lever is fixed in the Stabilizer Anti Rotation Arm, and can swing freely without play. 3) Insert the Collective Horn E071 onto the outer edges of the Stabilizer Lever E072, and join both parts by inserting the Flybar E147. The Stabilizer Lever must be right in the middle of the Flybar! 4) Install the Grub Screws E052 into the metal rings in the Collective Horn E071. Check the Stabilizer symmetry and carefully tighten the E052 grub screws using Hex Wrench E063. NOTE:

Follow the Picture for Step 5. 1) Assemble the Connecting Rods using the Ball Links E021, E079 and the Rods E058 (M2x8). Adjust the Connecting Rods’ length to 20 mm – see Pic.5. The correct Rod length is very important for correct pitch range. 2) Slide the complete Stabilizer assembly onto the Main Shaft E066 so the Stabilizer Socket E073 links with the Pins E115. 3) Install the Connecting Rods E070 on the Ball Joints of the Stabilizer Horn E071. Pay attention to the correct orientation of the Rods – follow the picture. 4) Slide (from bottom) the complete Swashplate E092 onto the Main Shaft and fix the opposite Ball Joints on the Upper Swashplate to the Connecting Rods E070. 5) Using the Connecting Rods, assembled in Step 1, connect the Ball Joints on the Stabilizer Dome E072 to the Ball Joints on the Blade Grips E076. Insert the Stopper Ring E067 with Grub Screw E052 so the Flange for the Bearing faces down. 6)

Don’t apply excessive force while tightening – the Shaft must rotate fully freely. 4) Insert the Vertical Fin Holder E419 onto the Tail Boom E416, do not glue! 5) Insert the tail boom assembly into the main frame assembly. 6) Insert bolt E055 into the hole in the tightening collar on the Main Frame E401, add the Nut E056 - do not tighten. 7) Adjust the gear mesh of the Tail Drive Pinion Gear E118 and the main gear E102. There should be no play, but both shafts must freely rotate without tension in the gear. 8) Tighten the screw E055 in the E401 collar to fix the Tail Boom to the Frame. NOTE: Pay attention to the Tail Boom geometry – the Tail Rotor Shaft must be perpendicular to the Main Shaft! 9) Press the selected Pinion Gear onto the Motor Output Shaft – for 7 cells we recommend the 11 tooth Pinion E084.
