Brugprogramma jaar 2 Mobility Track 1: Vakken:
Mobility Track 2: Master thesis:

The Photonics Electives courses are either taught at UGent or at VUB or at both institutions simultaneously. However, the teleclassing system will be used for all lectures in order to avoid transportation from one city to the other. For the lab-based parts of the courses, a student need to be present at the teaching university.

Waarom Fotonica studeren? PHOTONICS RESEARCH GROUP

Waarom Fotonica studeren? Photonics is now widely recognized as a major innovation enabling discipline for the 21st century. It can be defined as the field of science and technology where the fundamental properties of light and its interaction with matter are studied and applied.
Since several decades photonics has been penetrating in ever more applications and household appliances, sectors such as tele- and datacom, display and camera industry, biotechnology, solar energy, medical instrumentation, laser material processing, etc.
