Bu Edwards, Ibu ingat Taylor? Saya duduk di kelas Bahasa Indonesia Ibu pada tahun 2006. Sayang, saya tidak bisa hadir reuni bulan depan untuk merayakan sepuluh tahun sejak tamat sekolah. Tentu saja akan menarik dan menyenangkan. Karena saya tidak bisa ikut reuni saya ingin memberitahu Ibu tentang hidup saya sejak tamat sekolah. Sesudah tamat sekolah, saya ingin kembali ke desa yang kita kunjungi selama eksursi pada tahun 2005. Jadi, saya ke desa itu untuk membantu mengajar anak-anak miskin. Pada waktu itu, saya sadar bahwa pendidikan adalah kunci untuk membantu orang yang miskin. Sesudah pulang, saya masuk kuliah di fakultas pendidikan pada tahun 2008. Sesudah tamat universitas, saya diajak bekerja di sekolah di Sumatra. Saya ingin sekali berlatih Bahasa Indonesia saya dan saya tetap di sana selama lima tahun. Sambil bekerja di Indonesia, saya mulai bermain angklung sebagai hobi. Sesudah dua tahun, saya dipilih menjadi anggota seperangkat angklung nasional. Dengan orkes ini, saya ke Belanda supaya bermain di ‘Pameran Musik dari Indonesia’. Bukan main anehnya karena saya bukan orang asli. Saya tetap tinggal di Indonesia oleh karena pekerjaan saya. Akan tetapi, ada alasan lain, Ibu. Saya sudah menikah. Kami bertemu di kelas angklung. Kami sudah berkeluarga. Anak saya, Melasti, kuat dan sehat dan sudah berumur tiga tahun. Dia lahir di Sumatra tetapi kami tinggal di Surabaya dekat rumah kakek nenek Melasti. Saya ingin mengucapkan banyak terima kasih kepada Ibu.
