Octob er 2013 Phumelela Yo u t h Development O r g a n i z a t i o n ( P Y D O) Ayoba Foundation recently received a new update of Phumelela Youth
Development
Organization
(PYDO).
The children and youth had a school break in June. During this period it is really important to entertain the youth and really keep them of the streets. To offer a program to entertain the youth, a dance teacher from East London was arranged. This dance teacher gave a three-day workshop. The kids enjoyed the workshop so much, that they organized a sleep-over party so they could practice till late in the evening. This was a definite highlight for the youth as dancing is part of their culture and they can dance at any time of the day. Even though, the dance workshop was a huge success,

activities.
Furthermore, PYDO would like to save the money so they can purchase a printer.
In this case, everybody is working
together to reach and benefit the same goal. Recently, they already received a new printer from Stenden University Port Alfred. Besides the report that we received from the project itself, Lyan is also telling her story on her

She is definitely motivated. Noluthando does not receive any payment for her efforts and even though she has faced a lot of problems, she still continues her job. Furthermore, I think it is really important that the project is operated and managed by someone from the local community and takes responsibility for their problems.
