1. Učitel se ptá žáků na otázky související s jejich vztahem ke zvířatům např. What’s your favourite wild (farm, domestic) animal? Have you got a pet at home? Do you like going to the zoo? What animals are you afraid of?
2. Každý dostane kartičku s údaji, které má zjistit (viz další strana) a připraví si otázky, které bude klást ostatním (společná kontrola). Úkolem je najít někoho, kdo na danou otázku odpoví kladně a zapsat si jeho jméno. Takového studenta se již nemůže znovu zeptat. 3. Nakonec učitel zjišťuje, co tázající zjistili, a klade doplňující otázky např. Why are you afraid of spiders? Where is the nearest pet shop? How often do you walk your dog? What does your pet eat and drink? Do you know any good books (magazines, films) about animals

2. Před hodinou učitel rozvěsí lístečky s informacemi v prostorách školy. 3. Žáci vytvoří skupiny po 3. Každá skupina dostane tabulku, do které musí doplnit údaje (jméno, datum narození, povolání). Informace potřebné k jejímu správnému vyplnění jsou právě na vyvěšených lístečcích. 4. Skupina si rozdělí role: 1 zapisovatel a 2 sběrači informací. Role mohou být během aktivity střídány. Žádný ze sběračů si nesmí dělat písemné poznámky a údaje zapisovateli smí předávat pouze anglicky na vyhrazeném místě ve třídě. 5. Je dobré dát přesný čas, po který mohou být údaje sbírány. 1. Každá skupina dostane celý set karet a vyřadí karty se slovy, které nezná. 2. Učitel vysvětlí významy neznámých slov. 3. Studenti se pokusí seřadit karty do dvojic tak, aby tvořily protiklady. (opět společná kontrola) 4. Následuje hra pexeso. Karty se rozdělí na 2 skupiny a studenti tahají vždy 1 kartu z každé hromádky. 5. Na závěr se karty vloží do klobouku a vždy si nějaký student jednu vytáhne a pantomimou se pokusí vyjádřit přídavné jméno. Ostatní hádají. Kdo je úspěšný, přebírá roli předvádějícího.

5. STOP THE ALPHABET Typ:

Instrukce:
1. Každá skupina dostane herní plán. 2. Učitel říká potichu anglickou abecedu a předem určený student ho zastaví slovem „stop“. Učitel studentům sdělí, na kterém písmenu se zastavil. 3. Úkolem studentů je napsat na dané písmeno vždy jedno slovo dle daných témat v tabulce. 4. Následuje společná kontrola. Alternativní témata do tabulky (závisí na pokročilosti studentů): English names, Cities (Great Britain, Canada, the USA, Australia), Countries, Adjectives, Sports atd.

1. Před hodinou učitel rozvěsí lístečky s informacemi (1 – 11) v prostorách školy. 2. Žáci vytvoří skupiny po 3. Každá skupina dostane mapu, do které musí zakreslit správnou cestu. 3. Skupina si rozdělí role: 1 zapisovatel a 2 sběrači informací. Role mohou být během aktivity střídány. Žádný ze sběračů si nesmí dělat písemné poznámky a údaje zapisovateli smí předávat pouze anglicky na vyhrazeném místě ve třídě. 4. Je dobré dát přesný čas, po který mohou být údaje sbírány. 8. AZ QUIZ Typ:

Instrukce:
1. Žáci vytvoří skupiny po 3 a dostanou 3 herní plány + sadu kartiček s otázkami. 2. Žáci si rozdělí role ve skupině (2 hráči a 1 moderátor) 3. Žáci si určí pořadí, ve kterém budou hrát. Hráč, který je na řadě si zvolí pole v herním plánu, o které chce hrát a zároveň číslo otázky 1, 2 nebo 3. Moderátor otázku přečte, a pokud hráč odpoví správně, tak získává pole a udělá si na něm svoji značku. Je-li odpověď špatná, může odpovědět protihráč a získat totéž pole. Nemá-li protihráč zájem o toto pole, tak zůstane neobsazené a v budoucnu se o něj může losovat např. házením kostky. Kartička, ze které byla položena otázka, se dá dospodu balíčku. 4. Úkolem je spojit všechny strany herního plánu. Stane-li se tak, v ten okamžik hra končí a moderátorem se stává někdo jiný.
