STKIP PGRI Padang Sumatera Barat. Membaca merupakan hal yang penting dan harus dilakukan oleh siswa, karena dengan banyak membaca maka akan banyak pengetahuan dan informasi yang akan di dapat oleh siswa. Membaca tidak hanya dapat dilakukan disekolah siswa dapat membaca dimana saja, dan bahan bacaan itu tidak hanya melalui buku pelajaran saja siswa dapat mencari bahan bacaan lainnya melalui artikel, majalah, Koran dan lainnya. Tapi kenyataannya banyak siswa yang tidak mau membaca terutama dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, mereka banyak yang tidak memahami dan tidak tahu apa maksud dari apa yang mereka baca tersebut, oleh sebab itu disini penulis menggabungkan atau mengkombinasikan dua strategi yang mana tujuannya untuk membantu siswa dalam pembelajaran Reading. Sehingga dengan menggunakan strategi ini dapat membantu siswa dalam belajar. Strategi yang penulis pilih adalah Three Level Guide dan Think Pair share. Yang pertama Three Level Guide, Three Level Guide adalah Pernyataan level pertama disebut literal, berarti bahwa guru membuat beberapa pernyataan yang siswa dapat menemukan jawabannya dengan membaca teks, kedua interpretatif, interpretatif berarti bahwa untuk menemukan jawaban siswa perlu memahami teks untuk menemukan jawaban. Dan yang terakhir aplikasi, aplikasi para siswa memberikan informasi mereka sendiri dan pendapat untuk menjawab pernyataan Yang kedua Think Pair Share adalah pertanyaan dan jawaban yang mana prosesnya berpotensi melibatkan seluruh siswa secara aktif terlibat dengan pertanyaan.
