Az EuroGeoSource projekt ismertetése Scharek Péter
A kutatás célja: Az EU által finanszírozott, 250532 számú, és " EU Information and Policy Support System for Sustainable Supply of Europe with Energy and Mineral Resources. " című projektben való részvétel.
A projekt, előzetes egyeztetések és programkészítés után, 2010. áprilisban indult, a befejezési határidő: 2013. március vége. A munka 11 munkabizottságban (WP) folyt, ezekben a MÁFI (MFGI) tagként, a WP3-as bizottságban témavezetőként vett részt.
A projekt tagjai: Holland, Dán, Észt, Lengyel, Belga, Szlovén, Román, Portugál Földtani Szolgálat/Intézet, Zaragozai Egyetem, GEODAN Ltd., Bolgár Környezetvédelmi és Vízügyi Minisztérium

Következtetések Az adatok értékelése után az alábbi eredményre jutottunk: •Mind az adattartalom, mind az alkalmazott formátum igen eltérő az egyes országokban. • Az elérhető adatok különböző intézményekben és különböző készültségi fokban találhatók.
• Nem találtunk olyan országot, melynek adatrendszerét mintának használhatnánk a projektben. •Új, egységes rendszert kell kifejleszteni nemzetközi szabvány (INSPIRE) alapján.
