AZ EMBER OTT KEZDŐDIK, HOGY TEREMT VALAMIT, AMI NINCS. VALAKINEK LENNI A SEMMIBŐL. NEM A LEGKISEBB, HANEM A LEGNAGYOBB ELLENÁLLÁST KERESNI. CSAK AZT ÉRDEMES MEGCSINÁLNI, AMI LEHETETLEN.
[ Hamvas Béla ]
A Finnish Painter’s Union, a Värmland Artist’s Society és a Tölgy Kulturális Egyesület 13. alkalommal, ezúttal Nektár címmel rendezi nemzetközi képzőművészeti szimpóziumát. Az alkotói összejövetel a XX. század egyik legjelentősebb metafizikai gondolkodója, a klasszikus műveltségű magyar író, filozófus, esszéista, Hamvas Béla szellemi örökségére reflektál, akinek filozófiai esszenciáját a szimpózium a Balaton-felvidék, mint ihlető környezet kontextusában vizsgálja. A művészeti munka színhelyéül a múlt századfordulón eklektikus stílusban épült, romantikus hangulatú Török Villa szolgál, mely a festői Balaton-felvidék keleti dombjainak rejtekében, Balatonalmádi és Felsőörs között félúton, sűrű szubmediterrán növényzet és szőlőligetek ölelésében bújik meg. A ház a kilencvenes években zajlott átalakítások és korszerűsítések eredményeként mára hazai és külföldi képzőművészek idilli alkotó- és találkozóhelyévé vált.

A MAN BEGINS WITH CREATING SOMETHING THAT DOES NOT EXIST YET. TO BECOME SOMEBODY OUT OF NOTHING. TO SEEK NOT THE SMALLEST BUT THE LARGEST OPPOSITION. ONLY THE IMPOSSIBLE IS WORTH BEING DONE. [ Béla Hamvas ]
The Finnish Painters’ Union, the Värmland Artist’s Society and the Oak Cultural Association organises the 13th international fine art symposium entitled Nectar this year. The art symposium is intended to reflect upon the intellectual heritage of a Hungarian writer, philosopher and essayist, Béla Hamvas, who is one of the greatest metaphysical thinkers of the 20th century. The essence of his philosophy will be in the focus of the symposium with special respect to the venue of Lake Balaton as an inspiring context. The venue of the symposium this year is Villa Török, a romantic villa from the turn of the 20th century located among small hills half way between Balatonalmádi and Felsőörs and embraced by lush Mediterranean vegetation Fotó: Böjtös Kinga
and vineyards. As a result of renovation and reconstruction work during the 90’s, the house has by now become an idyllic meeting and working place for artists from Hungary and abroad.

2003 The last few years I have focused on ink drawing and papier maché sculptures. In a slightly illustrative way I search for depth under the surface of things, romancing the grotesque in beauty and vice versa. Sometimes I create installations too. I produce puppet theatre together with my sister and teach drawing, croquise and more at schools and evening classes. I am secretary in Värmlands konstnärsförbund, member of the board of Konstcentrum mitt. I live near Karlstad in Sweden.

Various Have made several books, one about croquise. Member of KRO and Värmlands konstnärsförbund. Was involved in establishing the organization Fri form (free form). Teach in evening classes. INGALENA KLENELL Glass, for me, is a way of exploring and investigating limits and creating ways of transcending them, limits of techniques as well as those of myself. Starting in a concept or a persons lifestory that has an interesting connection with the relation man and the nonhuman nature I buld installations related to what I find. I work with several different techniques such as hotcasting, kilnforming and kilncasting. Large scale works fascinate me. The brittle qualities of glas has been expressive, thoroughout my work, of the brittle qualities of life itself, its existential vulnerabilities. Brittleness and vulnerability in the medium, then combined with eminence of light as a source of inspiration, is intimately connected with the search for what is central in the human condition. My works may be seen as primarly sculptural; but inspired by folkart and craft, I have my roots among those whose need for expression takes the form of creative joy and desire, a creative urgency I have meet chiefly only in folk art. Nature, travels and everyday life itself are my most immediate and powerful sources of inspiration. The impressible creativity and spontaneous brilliance of children have been formative in the most profound artistic changes in my development. To be able to combine the artistic with longing for knowledge in different cultural fields and endeavors, such as ecophilosophy, history and religion, is for me what gives the working day a sense of contentment and completion.

ELLINOR HENRIKSSON I am Swedish, Norwegian and a little bit Finnish. I was born i Sweden 1956. In 2005 I got a certification proving I am a professional sketch artist. The line is my favorite; I use the line and complete my drawings with some color, sometimes with collage from old, homemade drawings. I have spent five years in Artist School, three of them in Norway, but my ordinary job takes time at night at a nursing home for 22 old people. Education 1995-1996 2000-2002 2002-2003 2002
