VONZATOS IGÉK (phrasal verbs and prepositional verbs) ● Sokszor egy-egy ige az utána álló elöljárószóval (ezt ilyenkor „particle”-nek nevezzük) együtt idiomatikus értelmet nyer (azaz az ige és az elöljárószó jelentése külön-külön más, mint amit a létrejövő szóösszetétel jelent.) Ez némely esetben hasonlít a magyar igekötők szerepéhez. pl. vesz (= „vásárol‟) de: FELvesz (= „magára ölt‟) Put (= „tesz‟) de: put ON (= felvesz) ● Rengeteg vonzatos ige van az angolban. A lényeg az, hogy ezeket a vonzattal együtt önálló jelentésű szóként kell értelmezni (szinte mindegy, mit jelent az alapige önmagában, mert a vonzattal lehet, hogy teljesen más az értelme, sőt ugyanazzal a vonzattal több dolgot is jelenthet)! ● Sok vonzatos igének tárgya van. Ez a tárgy beékelődhet az ige és a vonzat közé, vagy a vonzat mögött is állhat. Ha viszont ez a tárgy névmás, akkor mindenképpen beékelődik. pl. I put ↓ ige
