ABSTRACT
Skripsi ini berjudul The Relationship between Man and Woman in Marriage Context in D. H. Lawrence’s Lady Chatterley’s Lover Viewed From Christianity Concept. Agama Kristen mempunyai konsep-konsep yang sangat mengikat dalam hal pernikahan. Di antaranya konsep kesetiaan, kewajiban suami dan istri dalam pernikahan, dan larangan akan perceraian. Dalam skripsi ini penulis akan menganalisis pelanggaran terhadap konsep-konsep pernikahan tersebut yang tergambar dalam novel Lady Chatterley’s Lover. Di dalam skripsi ini, penulis akan memaparkan pelanggaran terhadap konsep-konsep pernikahan Kristen melalui karakter yang merefleksikan diri mereka dalam novel tersebut, yaitu melalui hubungan antara Clifford dan Connie sebagai suami istri dan juga melalui hubungan antara Mellors dan Connie sebagai kekasih dan istri. Dalam menganalisis konsep-konsep yang terdapat pada novel tersebut, penulis mengaplikasikan metode analisis deskripsi. Adapun langkahlangkah yang ditempuh adalah dengan cara membaca novel, mengumpulkan data, dan mengambil kutipan, menginterpretasi, menganalisis data, dan membuat kesimpulan. Setelah menganalisis skripsi ini, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa Clifford dan Connie telah melanggar konsep kesetiaan, kewajiban suami-istri dalam pernikahan, dan larangan akan perceraian.
