OBJECTIVES & METHODOLOGY
Objectives
• This study aimed to explore the motivation of mothers for visiting Posyandu regularly

• Qualitative study through indepth interview and focus group discussion (FGD)

Validity of the data to checking the validity of the data taken, we used: Data triangulation (mothers, family members, cadres)
Methods triangulation (indepth interview and FGD)
Analysis triangulation (analysed by 4 researchers).
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION Mother’s Knowledge about Posyandu Mother’s knowledge still lacking This was illustrated by the mother’s answer on FGD that posyandu was only a place of weighing a child mother who had less knowledge seldom participate in posyandu activities This was consistent with other study Mothers who had a good knowledge about posyandu and health will likely be more active in Posyandu activities than mothers who had less knowledge (Reihana & Duarsa 2012).
Access to Posyandu
From FGD and Indepth Intervies knew that Posyandu location was strategic mother only took 5-15 minutes by walking But mother visits to the Posyandu still low
Facilities and Services Posyandu Facilities and services at posyandu was one of mother’s motivation for visiting posyandu FGD and in-depth interviews result shows that if there was immunizations in Posyandu, mother’s visit will increase attendance was above 80% Some mothers during FGD mentioned that promotion from other parties such as dairies product would make them more interested to come to Posyandu Mother suggested have own posyandu building (Now at community leader’s home) and various supplementary feeding every month This was consistent with the theory that health services utilization is most closely relation to a person health service requires (Azwar 1996).
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION Cadres Support • The support from cadres such as schedule announcement at religion meeting or mosques can improve number of child weighing in Posyandu important for mother motivation • The success and sustainability of Posyandu determined by the role of cadres and community participation (Muninjaya 2004).
Family Support • Family members with the better knowledge about posyandu will provide support by reminder posyandu’s schedule or help to bring chidren to posyandu • This was consistent with research of Rihanna and Duarsa (2010) that support families related with a participation rate of mothers in Posyandu activities from husband and also from their parents or in-laws
CONCLUSIONS
Conclusions The Motivation of mother for visiting Posyandu influenced by the level of knowledge about Posyandu, cadre support, family support, facilities and services that available at the Posyandu
