orgelspel koor zingt This is the truth send from above – R. Vaughan Williams This is the truth sent from above, The truth of God, the God of love; Therefore don’t turn me from the door, But hearken all, both rich and poor. The first thing, that I will relate, That God at first did man create The next thing, which to you I tell, Woman was made with him to dwell. Thus we were heirs to endless woes, Till God the Lord did interpose And so a promise soon did run That He’d redeem us by his Son. And at this season of the year Our blest Redeemer did appear And here did live,, and here did preach, And many thousands He did teach. Thus He in love to us behaved, To show us how we must be saved And if you want to know the way Be pleased to hear what He did say. welkom zingen lied 433
Lof zij God in 't hemelrijk, Vader, Zoon en Geest gelijk, nu en overal altijd, nu en tot in eeuwigheid. 5.

3e lezing: Jesaja 9: 2, 6-7 zingen lied 498 koor 1. Once in royal David's city Stood a lowly cattle shed, Where a mother laid her baby In a manger for His bed: Mary was that mother mild, Jesus Christ her little child. allen
He came down to earth from heaven, Who is God and Lord of all, And His shelter was a stable, And His cradle was a stall; 2.
With the poor, and mean, and lowly, Lived on earth our Saviour Holy. And through all His wondrous childhood He would honor and obey, Love and watch the lowly Maiden, In whose gentle arms He lay: Christian children all must be Mild, obedient, good as He.

For He is our childhood's pattern; Day by day, like us He grew; He was little, weak and helpless, Tears and smiles like us He knew; And He feeleth for our sadness, And He shareth in our gladness. And our eyes at last shall see Him, Through His own redeeming love; For that Child so dear and gentle Is our Lord in heaven above, And He leads His children on To the place where He is gone.

Not in that poor lowly stable, With the oxen standing by, We shall see Him; but in heaven, Set at God's right hand on high; Where like stars His children crowned All in white shall wait around.' 6.
4e lezing Jesaja 11: 1-4, 6-9 zingen lied 473 1.
5e lezing Lucas 1: 26-35, 38 koor zingt Veiled in darkness Juda lay Veiled in darkness Judah lay, Waiting for the promised day, While across the shadowy night Streamed a flood of glorious light, Heav’nly voices chanting then, “Peace on earth, good will to men.” “Peace on earth, good will to men.” Still the earth in darkness lies. Up from death’s dark vale arise Voices of a world in grief, Prayers of those who seek relief: Now our darkness pierce again, “Peace on earth, good will to men.” “Peace on earth, good will to men.” Light of light, we humbly pray, Shine upon Thy world today; Break the gloom of our dark night, Fill our souls with love and light, Send Thy blessed Word again, “Peace on earth, good will to men.” “Peace on earth, good will to men.”

6e lezing Lucas 2: 1, 3-7 zingen O little town of Bethlehem, How still we see thee lie! Above thy deep and dreamless sleep 1.
The silent stars go by. Yet in thy dark streets shineth The everlasting light; The hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee tonight. O morning stars, together Proclaim the holy birth, And praises sing to God the King, And peace to men on earth; For Christ is born of Mary; And, gathered all above, While mortals sleep, the angels keep Their watch of wond'ring love. 2.
How silently, how silently, The wondrous gift is giv'n! So God imparts to human hearts The blessings of his heav'n. No ear may hear his coming; But in this world of sin, Where meek souls will receive him still, The dear Christ enters in. 3.
O holy Child of Bethlehem, Descend to us, we pray; Cast out our sin, and enter in, Be born in us today. We hear the Christmas angels The great glad tidings tell: O come to us, abide with us, Our Lord Emmanuel. 4.

cattle are lowing, the Baby awakes, But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes; I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky And stay by my side until morning is nigh.
Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stay Close by me forever, and love me, I pray; Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care, And fit us for Heaven to live with Thee there. 3.
