Education in the Czech Republic • Education in the Czech Republic is a public service that is carried out in accordance with Act no. 561/2004 Coll., On preschool, primary, secondary, tertiary professional and other education (Education Act), as amended.

Pre-school education • Is the stage of education in which a child acquires primarily a social experience, basic knowledge about life around and first ideas for continuing education and lifelong learning. • Framework educational program for pre-school education. • Preparatory classes.
Primary education • Basic education is currently the only stage of education that is required to participate every child in the country. • The goal of basic education is to create the foundations for lifelong learning. • Framework educational program for elementary schools.
Secondary education • Secondary education has the general or vocational character and ends with school-leaving examination, vocational certificate, or a final exam. • Framework educational program for secondary schools.
Special education • Education of children, pupils and students with special educational needs - these are students with disabilities (mental, physical, visual, hearing impairments, speech impairments, autism, multiple disabilities, developmental disorders) and physical or social handicaps.
Non-formal education • Informal education is voluntary and intentional learning that develops the skills, abilities, interests and needs of people outside mainstream education. • These include organized leisure time activities for children, youth and adults, computer courses, foreign language courses, lectures, etc.
University education • The Act no. 111/1998 Sb. on universities and on Amendments to other acts. • Changes in university studies (length - Bc., Mgr., Dr., trendiness of fields employability of graduates, the introduction of "enrollment - tuition").
Education and Labour Market in the Czech Republic • The workforce should be educated to be readily applicable, flexible enough to adapt to new conditions, to respond to new trends and tendencies and ready to further develop and educate. • Reversible and communication between the labor sphere and the sphere of education should be functional and efficient.
