Terwujudnya kesetaraan jender bukan hanya harapan "kaum perempuan", tetapi juga merupakan harapan "kaum pria", bukan hanya harapan masyarakat Indonesia, tetapi juga merupakan harapan masyarakat dunia internasional. Upaya itu di antaranya melalui munculnya konferensi internasional perempuan pertama di Meksiko pada tahun 1975 dan konvensi PBB tentang penghapusan semua bentuk diskriminasi terhadap perempuan (Convention on the Elimination of AU Forms of Discrimination Against Women / CEDAW) pada tahun 1979. Meskipun demikian, cita-cita kesetaraan jender itu hingga kini masih jauh dari kenyataan; diskriminasi dan ketidakadilan masih sering dialami kaum perempuan dalam berbagai kancah kehidupan.' Hingga kini, kaum perempuan masih belum sepenuhnya mendapatkan hak sebagaimana pria telah mendapatkannya. Perempuan dianggap "the others", sebagai " yang lain" dari laki-laki.
PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA ARAB UNTUK SMA (Analisis Tujuan dan Materi Ajar) Hanik Mahliatussikah Abstrak Pentingnya pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Indonesia, di antaranya ditunjukkan oleh maraknya pembelajaran bahasa Arab untuk anak usia dini dan maraknya pembelajaran bahasa Arab di lembaga-lembaga umum, seperti SMA. Bahasa Arab di Indonesia, di samping dipandang sebagai alat komunikasi, juga dipakai sebagai alat untuk mengkaji agama Islam dan berbagai pengetahuan. Pentingnya kedudukan bahasa Arab itulah yang mengakibatkan proses kegiatan belajar mengajar pun selalu diupayakan untuk terns menerus ditingkatkan kualitas dan variasinya. Kurikulumnya pun selalu dievaluasi dan disesuaikan dengan tuntutan perkembangan pendidikan. Orientasi pembelajaran bahasa Arab di SMA bukan gramatikal oriented, tetapi pada kemampuan berkomunikasi lisan dan tulis. Pembelajaran unsur-unsur bahasa yang terdiri alas kosakata, ungkapan komunikatif; pelafalan, tata bahasa, ejaan ditujukan untuk mendukung penguasaan dan pengembangan empat keterampilan berbahasa dan bukan untuk kepentingan penguasaan unsur-unsur bahasa itu sendiri. GAYA BAHASA METAFORA DALAM AL-QUR'AN Hanik Mahliatussikah Dosen Jurusan Sastra Arab, Fakultas Sastra, Universitas Negeri Malang, JI. Semarang 5 Malang Abstract: The aim of discussing metaphors is to reveal the kinds of metaphors in Al Qur'an, their themes, and their meanings, either through tafsir or ta'wil by descriptive qualitative method. The language style in Al Qur'an which is most frequently used is metaphorical implicature. The Musyabbah (tenor) is disguised if it perfectly similar to the Musyabbah Bih (vehicle) in order to simplify. The theme in Al Qur'an which is most frequently used is Kafir (unbelieving). Analytical interpretation study toward metaphors in Al Qur'an is an effort to connect the context of the past and of the present by using interpretation method. If the language does not develop, then sooner or later its will die and no longer used. Factors that influence the development of language is a user community, development of science and information. Among the development of language is collocations. Collocation is the occurrence of two or more words within a short space of each other in a text. Thus, collocation is a necessity in language development, especially related phrases and idioms. Jika bahasa tidak berkembang, maka lambat laun is Akan mati dan tidak dipergunakan lagi. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi berkembangnya bahasa adalah masyarakat sebagai pengguna, perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan informasi. Manusia sebagai pengguna bahasa semakin maju dan berkembang dalam aspek budaya dan peradabannya. Bahasa mempunyai peran penting dalam transformasi ilmu pengetahuan dan informasi bagi kehidupan manusia itu sendiri. Di antara perkembangan bahasa yang dimaksud adalah kolokasi (collocations). Kolokasi adalah kemunculan dua kata atau lebih secara bersamaan dengan kata lain dalam sebuah teks dengan jarak yang tidak berjauhan. Dengan demikian kolokasi merupakan sebuah keniscayaan dalam perkembangan bahasa terutama berkaitan dcngan ungkapan-ungkapan dan idiom. CITRA WANITA ARAB DALAM NOVEL-NOVEL NAWAL AS-SA'DAWI Hanik Maliliatussikah Abstract: This aims of this research are to know the roles, functions, and positions of women in Nawal As-Sa'dawi's novels and to know the concrete spiritual and mental illustrations and behaviors of .Arabic. women expressed. in Nawal As-Sa'dawi's novels. It is a descriptive qualitative research. The source of the data is (1) lmra'ah Nuvhatish-shifr (Woman at zeropoint), (2) Mautur-Rajulil Wahidi 'alal Ardhi (The death of a man), and (3) Mudzakkaratuththabibah (The memoir of a female doctor). The roles, functions, and positions of women are more dominant in the family than in the society. In the family, women are hard-workers-in the domestic scope. Women have subordinate powers under men, to be defeated, suppressed, the objects of physical and sexual violence, and become "the others" of men. The roles above have influenced their spiritual and mental illustrations and behaviors. Women become tough, independent, confident, diligent, and intelligent. Nawal Assa'dawi view women positively. CITRA WANITA ARAB DALAM NOVEL LAYLA MAJNUN DAN CITRA WANITA BRAT DALAM NOVEL ROMEO JULIET Hanik Mahliatussikah2 This material is chosen due to some factors, popular, interesting, and problematic. The intended goal is to reveal the roles, functions, and positions of Arab and Western women in the novels Layla Majnun and Romeo and .Juliet; to portrait the mental and spiritual characters, and the behaviors, expressed by Arab and Western women in both works; and to reveal the inter-textual relation of both works. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative and the main source of the data is the texts of the novels published by Navila Yogyakarta. This data collection technique is done through the process of the coding of the data, the classification of the data, the analysis of the data, and the interpretation of the data. The role dominations, functions, and positions, of Arab and western women are in the scope of family environment. In both novels, women have good mental and spiritual characteristics, which are faithful, attentive toward their beloved ones, and obedience toward their parents. They both have love, want to love and to be loved, and dare to take the risks in order to fight for their love. The woman in Romeo and Juliet is imaged to be more aggressive than the woman in Layla Majnun. It shows that in western tradition, a girl is braver and more open in declaring her love feeling toward a boy compared to an eastern girl. There is also found an inter-textual relations in the ideas of both works. Considering the superiority of the story of Layla Majnun which has exceeded the eastern society and its prior existence compared to Romeo and Juliet, the story of Layla Majnun can become the hypogram. The transformations done by Shakespeare in the story of Romeo and Juliet are not only in the title, theme, and characters, but also the plot of the story. These transformation. demytification, modification, and the identity of the monumental story of Romeo and Juliet shows that Shakepeare has the creativity in arranging stories and sentences that the story of Romeo and Juliet appears to be a new masterpeace which is not a bon-owing from the story of Layla Majnun.
