hree Divertimenti Divertimenti, serenades, nocturnes and other pieces of lighter genre let Mozart’s hand frequently as the need for them to accompany private and social entertainment, indoor or garden parties was considerable throughout. he varied titles given to these multi-movement compositions, which were written for small ensembles and contained dances, marches, and serenade-like slow music, only show minor diferences of genre. When Mozart gave one of his 1771 composed works (K. 113) the title “Concerto or Divertimento” he was also insecure. By it he may have indicated that the divertimenti oten contain soloistic parts. he three divertimenti on the present disc (K. 136, 137, 138) were composed early in 1772. hey could be called juvenilia of a sixteen-year-old man if it were not for Mozart who had been – believe it or not – a Europe-wide known, accomplished master by then, with ten years of composition and several opera premieres behind him. he three-movement Italian sinfonia-structure of these pieces and the lack of minuets – the indispensable constituents of entertainment music – gave scholars plenty to think about. In 1772 Wolfgang and Leopold Mozart were preparing for their third Italian trip to attend the December premiere of Lucio Silla in Milan. According to certain scholars the three divertimenti were composed to enable the travelling composer to have some orchestral works ready for performance on Italian soil. (Hence the other designation of the divertimenti in common use: Salzburg Symphonies.) Although the trip brought neither inancial breakthrough, nor court employment for the Mozarts, the opera proved to be a tremendous success. Mozart received several professional and honoriic decorations. Exultate, jubilate, in our present-day opinion perhaps the most lasting composition of the months in Italy, was written at that time for the famous castrato singer Venanzio Rauzzini. It is for similarly weighty reasons that the divertimenti can be considered chamber music as well. he bubbling
semiquavers in certain places of the violin parts prove to be a challenge even to soloists; for a contemporary orchestral ensemble they must have been an almost insurmountable task. Supposing that it is a string quartet what instrument does the designation ‘basso’ in the score imply: the bass part in general or the double bass because the scoring two violins-viola-double bass was a completely standard, welldocumented ensemble in contemporary Austria with the name “divertimento quartet” or “Salzburg quartet”. Irrespective of the fact whether the question of instrumentation is viewed from the side of symphony or chamber music, the pieces enchant the listener. With its virtuoso violin parts the Divertimento in D major (K. 136) takes the listener by surprise. Its irst movement is by Mozartian measures a simpler sonata form. Ater a charming, Italian, merry Andante slow movement the Presto inale is a sonata movement again. Its contrapuntal design anticipates the compositional methods of the mature Mozart, but suggests at the same time works by Padre Martini he got to know in Bologna. he Andante opening of the Divertimento in B lat major (K. 137) returns ater its bright beginning with an interesting harmonic process, the insertion of C minor, then D minor into the main key. Having well established it in the audience’s ear, the movement continues with traditional, merry and gallant music. he following Allegro di molto has ABA lied form full of motoric tension which is followed, if possible, by a still faster, lively and energetic inale (Allegro assai) than the preceding one. he third Divertimento in F major (K. 138) is mostly associated with the genre of the symphony. he exuberant process of the irst movement (Allegro) starts with a unison common chord theme; the complex harmonic structure of the development section anticipates the mature Mozart’s musical idiom. he harmony of the sweetly rocking music of the Andante is overshadowed by the tension of always
new dissonances in much the same way as the energetic Rondo rounds of enjoyably the piece.
several other works to the publisher Johann André of Ofenbach in 1799. he work irst appeared there in 1827.
Eine kleine Nachtmusik Mozart entered the Serenade No. 13 in G major, the most popular of occasional entertainment music under the title Eine kleine Nachtmusik into his catalogue of works in his own hand and dated it 10 August 1787. – Romance. Menuett und Trio, und Finale. – 2 Violini, Viola e Baßi.” / “A Little Night Music, consisting of an Allegro, Minuet and Trio. – Romance. Minuet and Trio and Finale. – 2 violins, viola and bass”). As it appears, it had originally two minuets, but the fate of the irst minuet is unknown. By using the term “Nachtmusik” Mozart had apparently no intention to introduce a new genre beside divertimento, serenata, and notturno. He simply wrote with a sudden movement into the list the German equivalent of serenade. It is interesting to note and a sign of the complexity of the composer’s creative faculty and the spontaneity of his working style that from spring to autumn 1787 works a light-year apart in mood emerged in fast succession: the String Quintet in G minor (K. 515), the sextet Ein musikalischer Spaß (K. 522), the song Abendempindung (K. 523), Eine kleine Nachtmusik (K. 525), the Sonata for Violin and Piano in A major (K. 526) and above all the great work, his most varied, darkest-toned opera Don Giovanni (K. 527); in August he must have worked on its second movement. No commission or opportunity is known for which Eine kleine Nachtmusik was written. Mozart seems to have been unable to write “only” light, weightless entertainment music at the time. Whether performed by string quartet or string orchestra the work K. 525 belongs to the noblest, most concise chamber music. It is thought likely that it was not performed in Mozart’s life-time: Constanze ofered the manuscript together with

A hegedűszólamok
A K. 136-os D-dúr divertimento virtuóz hegedűszólamaival kelt meglepetést, első tétele mozarti mértékkel mérve egyszerűbb szonátaforma. A három divertimento közül a harmadik, F-dúr darab (K. 138) kapcsolódik a leginkább a szimfónia műfajához. Unisono hármashangzat téma indítja az első tétel (Allegro) kirobbanó hatású folyamatát, a kidolgozási rész komplex harmóniai struktúrája az érett Mozart nyelvezetét vetíti előre. Az Andante édesen ringó zenéjének harmóniáját is új meg új disszonanciák feszültsége árnyékolja be, ugyanúgy, mint a darabot élvezetesen lekerekítő energikus Rondo.
Egy kis éji zene
Anima Musicæ Kamarazenekar
A szórakoztató alkalmi kompozíciók legnépszerűbbikét, a 13. G-dúr szerenádot Egy kis éji zene címen Mozart saját kezűleg írta be a műjegyzékébe 1787. augusztus 10-ére datálva („Eine kleine Nacht-Musik, bestehend in einem Allegro, Menuett und Trio. – Romance. A „Nachtmusik” elnevezéssel Mozart korántsem kívánt új műfajt bevezetni a divertimento, serenata, notturno mellé, csupán a szerenád hirtelen mozdulattal odavetett német megfelelőjét írta be a jegyzékbe. Érdekes és a zeneszerző alkotói személyiségének komplexitására, munkastílusának spontaneitására utal, hogy 1787 tavaszától őszéig egymás sűrű szomszédságában olyan művek keletkeztek, amelyek hangulatilag fényévnyi távolságra állnak egymástól: g-moll vonósötös (K. 515), Ein musikalischer Spaß (szextett, K. 522), Abendempindung (dal, K. 523), Egy kis éji zene (K. 525), A-dúr hegedűzongoraszonáta (K. 526), de mindenekelőtt a nagy mű, legsokrétűbb, legsötétebb hangú operája, a Don Giovanni (K. 527), melynek kb. a második felvonásánál tarthatott augusztusban.
A 2010-ben a budapesti Liszt Ferenc Zeneakadémia diákjaiból megalakult kamarazenekar azzal a céllal jött létre, hogy a magyar hagyományok folytatására és a megújulásra állandóan kész zenei műhelyként összefogja a iatal zenésznemzedékeket. Repertoárjuk a barokktól a XX. századi remekműveken át a kortárs zenéig felöleli a kamarazenekari irodalom minden jelentős korszakát. Rendszeresen tűznek műsorukra a zenekar számára komponált új magyar műveket.
2011-ben a bécsi Musikverein Aranytermében rendezett V. „Summa Cum Laude” Nemzetközi Ijúsági Fesztiválon az együttes vonószenekari kategóriában első díjat nyert, „kiemelkedő sikerrel” minősítve. Az Anima Musicæ Kamarazenekar 2012-ben kiérdemelte a magyar Junior Prima díjat, melyet a díj történetében most először vehetett át egy zenekar. www.animamusicae.hu
