Short history of the Factory

^ The three legal predecessors of the factory, the Budapest Ganz Boiler and Crane Manufacturing Ltd, the Rock Energetic Machine Works Co. also from Budapest and the Kiskunfelegyhaza A4 Machine Industry Co. were privatized by the owners of the Transelektro Group of Companies in 1993.

^ The two companies in Budapest were established in the last century; their traditional products included different kinds of boilers. Following WWII the Ganz factory specialized in the production of industrial and power plant boilers giving emphasis to firing with low quality coal. The Rock Company built up its reputation by manufacturing power plant equipment and auxiliary equipment as well as water treatment and demineralization equipment.

Is A4GM was established in the beginning of the 1950's. Originally its profile was the manufacture of steel structures for the mining industry then it gradually switched over to design, manufacture and assembly of chemical and food industry equipment. Thermal power plant and nuclear power plant equipment also forms part of its reference list.

I Our company manufactures power plant boilers burning the most various coal types. We generally build up the sidewalls of the boilers - according to the most up-to-date technological circumstances - as membrane walls. Membrane walls are made in a tube-fintube structure welded on singlepurpose machines in a modern way, which is an important condition of the operational safety of the boiler. Thus the whole production process is made in order to fully meet the quality assurance considerations. |*: Another characteristic of the pulverized coal fired power plant boilers is the simply established - therefore reliable - tower structure. This construction is especially suitable for low quality coal firing. ^ The boilers are delivered together with all the necessary auxiliary equipment.

Material of the heat exchangers may be unalloyed or high alloy steel or of a mixed structure. Alloy steel appliances are made from a wide variety of highly CrNi alloyed acid-resistant steel.

Different Tanks and Vessels Based on the different needs of our Customers a wide variety of tanks and vessels are made for different purposes, for example for the chemical industry (e.g.: paint factory), food industry (e.g.: milk or wine industry, brewery) and pharmaceutical industry. In these fields we undertake renewal works also. Columns The chemical, oil and synthetic material industries use special construction columns in their particular technological procedures. These types of equipment are made for specific purposes based on individual designs. The material range may be unalloyed or alloy steel or of a mixed structure. In this case the column-body is made of an unalloyed base material and the trays are made of alloyed base materials. We provide official authority attestation for the appliances manufactured in one piece after carrying out the pressure and functional tests. Mixing Machines We manufacture mixing machines having different mechanical systems to satisfy the individual needs of the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, paint and synthetic material industries. The mixing machines serve the purposes of homogeneously mixing liquid- and solidphase materials as well as the intensification of heat exchange procedures. We deliver vertical and horizontal appliances primarily for the paint, pharmaceutical and chocolate industries.

MANUFACTURE OF APPLIANCES AND EQUIPMENT Air Coolers The appliances of cooling using the air of the environment are the air coolers. Operation costs of air coolers in comparison to the water-cooling systems are competitive; their operation is more simple and trouble-free. Their application is especially advantaageous from the point of power engineering. The fans for circulating the cooling air are made of plastic balding that may be operated in an explosion-risk environment also.

Equipment for the Food Industry In addition to the manufacture of different tanks and pressure-vessels we emphasize the hydrostatic sterilizing equip-ment named Hunister used in the cannery, which we have been manufacturing and delivering since many years. Sterilization of cans in our equipment is done under pressure during continuous operation and it is suitable for processing different sizes of metal and glass cans in it (traditional equipment run intermittently). Pressure and temperature conditions may be changed according to the technological needs. We deliver the equipment in a ready-to-use, commissioned state. High-Voltage Switchgear Huts We manufacture different types of high-voltage Switchgear huts based on individual orders for big international companies. They are made of aluminum also where we can apply our high-level aluminum welding and processing skills in order to increase our competitiveness. The fundamental point of manufacturing boilers and pressure vessels is the machine and manual welding technology satisfying the special quality requirements of under pressure units. This requires raw materials of perfect quality, modern equipment, highly qualified professionals and an up-to-date organization of work. Our quality assurance laboratory guarantees the soundness of work performed by the most up-to-date testing methods. According to the everyday requirements we test the welded joints by carrying out destructive-tests (breaking tests, hot tensile test, impact tests, macroscopic and microscopic microsection tests, spectroscopic tests), non-destructive tests (X-ray tests, isotope tests, superacoustic tests, magnetic crack tests, endoscopic tests) and hardness tests on sample materials. Utmost attention is given to quality assurance in the interest of the market position.
