Saat kamp konsentrasi Nazi dibebaskan tahun 1945, ternyata kisah-kisah mengerikan yang terjadi di kamp tersebut terekam dalam kamera milik beberapa tentara dan wartawan yang disekap di sana. Film ini dinarasikan oleh Helena Bonham Carter.

We show the documentary “The Extraordinary Voyage” on how they found a colour print of one of his most important films, “A trip to the moon” and how they restored the film. 3. We show the restored version of “A trip to the moon”. (1902).

consists of 2 films that were shot in Indonesia (the Dutch East Indies) in the 1930s. The films were preserved by the Eye Film Museum in Holland. The Eye allowed us to show the films and shipped the films to us. 1. Black Magic. German film by Friedrich Dalsheim. Made in Bali. (1933).. 2. Rubber. Dutch film by Johan De Meester and Gerard Rutten. (1936). consists of 1 film, “Night will fall”. This film shows the background of a documentary that Alfred Hitchcock made in 1945, but the film was only finished this year, 70 years after the ending of World War II. Without good preservation and restoration the film could never have been finished.

This year we continue the tradition of watching films in the open air setting. These are European mainstream films, suitable for the whole family to enjoy. The screening at Bintaro Xchange are organised in cooperation with Piknik Sinema. These films are subtitled in Indonesian. Film-film ini dilengkapi dengan subtitel Bahasa Indonesia.

She studied at the School of Journalism in Utrecht and at the Centre de Formation des Journalistes in Paris. Since 1997, she focuses on making documentaries. Guy is a freelance film restorer and archivist who has previously worked at The Cinema Museum in London and the EYE Film Institute (formerly the Dutch Filmmuseum).
