KATA PENGANTAR
Karakterisitik utama dari AEC adalah (a) a single market and production base, (b) a highly competitive economic region, (c) a region of equitable economic development, and (d) a region fully integrated into the global economy. Semoga Tuhan selalu beserta kita.

SAMBUTAN REKTOR PERBANAS INSTITUTE Menghadapi Datangnya Abad Asia When the going gets tough, the tough gets going When the going gets tough, the tough gets ready I got something to tell you I got something to say I'm gonna put this dream in motion Never let nothing stand in my way (When the going gets tough, the tough gets going, lagu oleh Billy Ocean)
Dalam pasar tunggal ini akan terjadi free flow of goods, free flow of services, dan free flow of people.

ABSTRACT Ecotourism is becoming an important issue to discuss in tourism industry, both practically and theoretically. The attempt of building sustainability involves good cooperation between many parties, including governments, tourism operators, and tourists. Ecotourism mainly focuses on the effort of creating balance between environmental conservation and tourists’ satisfaction. Management of ecotourism requires understanding of tourists’ behavior towards natural and social environment in order to be able to encourage them to have more concern and involvement toward sustainability. This research aims to investigate tourists’ behavior toward ecotourism by exploring their cognitive, affective, and conative attitudes. The research collects primary data through surveys to 220 tourists at two major ecotourism sites in East Java, which are Bromo-Tengger-Semeru area and Cangar area. The result shows that most tourists understand the importance of conserving natural areas of ecotourism sites, and interested to learn about it, but receive minimum information from ecotourism operators regarding how they should behave and act in objectifying their concern for the environment. The result also indicates that tourists have willingness to change their behavior toward environment conservation and to involve in conservation programs, as long as they receive reliable information from the responsible parties. Marketing implication of these findings is that ecotourism operators need to create educative yet interesting programs in order to create better awareness towards ecotourism sustainability and increase tourists’ involvement.

ABSTRACT The significant growth of academic institutions in Indonesia in the last decades leads to the subtantial growing of competition between existing universities or intitutions to provide excellent services to the customers, which are in this case the students. Previous studies revealed that in such competition, maintaining present customers is more important than obtaining the new ones. Therefore, it is imperative for universities or other higher education institution, in particular ABFI Institute Perbanas which was established 40 years ago to understand the needs and level of satisfactionary of their customers. Due to the shifting of focus of services given to the students, the basic concept of services given by ABFI Instute Perbanas has also shifted. An IT based Customer Relationship Management systems replaces the transactionsal services as the main concept of providing services. This study focus on measuring the influence of IT infrastructure that covers: (1) database integrity, (2) application systems availability, (3) services response time and (4) ease of information access to support the quality of academic services in relation to the students’ contentment. Five indicators are investigated from conducted survey that was carried on by distributing questionaires to ABFI Institute Perbanas students. Gathered data are then further processed and analyzed using the multiple linear regression approach in SPSS version 20 to derive the correlation model.

ABSTRACT CSR is one of the important issues in the last decades both in practice and academic fields. The existence of a company among stakeholders will gain legitimacy if the company activities are consistent with the expectations of society. This requires company to communicate its CSR activities through its social responsibility disclosure. Social responsibility disclosure can be known mainly through annual reports as the most important documents in the eyes of the stakeholders. Banks can be seen as facilitators of industrial activity which could causes environmental damage. Thus, the activities of banking and finance companies could be reported to ensure that their lending and investment policies do not facilitate industrial activities, which are harmful for the environment. For the Islamic banking, they have responsibility of their stakeholders or their representatives (managers) for their action. They need to ensure that the business organisation engages only in halal activities, looking after the welfare of employees, interests of share holders, participating in societal well-being and that day-to-day business activities are conducted in a transparent and ethical manner along the criteria of shariah. In order to enhance their image and remain competitive globally, there is a demand for a thoughtful development of CSR communication of Islamic banking. The objective and format of a CSR communication thus have to be carefully thought through. In this regard, making appropriate rhetorical choices is fundamental. In this study we will explore how the managers choose relevant CSR rhetorical strategies to develop corporate moral, cognitive and pragmatic legitimacy in Islamic banking.

ABSTRACT Purpose – This paper, —Managing Resistance to Change at Bank BTN Using Soft Systems Methodology based Action Research— aims to show how soft systems as a part of systems thinking approach can be incorporated in action research (AR) interventions to successfully implement resistance to change at Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN). The case study in Bank BTN described in this paper would be useful to managers who want to implement change in their own organizations. Design/methodology/approach – This project used Soft Systems Methodology based Action Research (AR) as the methodology due to its flexible, responsive and emergent nature. There was soft systems thinking was used as a sense-making process while carrying out action research. As an added benefit this approach have resulted in successful research alternative. Findings – Soft systems methodology (SSM) based Action Research can help in addressing illstructured problems faced by managers, in collaboration with stakeholders using questioning and reflection. SSM lead to an increased understanding about the problem situation. SSM uses a more structured approach while AR is emergent in its application. SSM practitioners advocate that action researchers would benefit by declaring in advance an intellectual framework to guide their research. This has the additional benefit of overcoming obstacles in an academic environment where research processes are still governed based on traditional research methods. Practical implications – The ideas presented in the paper could be particularly useful to a practice-based discipline such as project management where research into its practice is in demand. Originality/value – This paper would be useful to managers interested in a rigorous methodology to implement organizational change in addressing business problems. It demonstrates ways of combining SSM and AR, resulting in a powerful research tool to carry out rigorous research. ABSTRACT The application of Information Technology in banking industry has lead to the development of new innovations such as the development of types of transactions that are easier and faster for the customers. Conversely, higher education institutions are also required to provide high quality services for the students, including services related to the ease of financial transactions. An approach that has to be considered is to apply financial or payment systems that is connected on-line and directly to the financial institutions, which are banks (e-baking systems). Consequently, cooperation between banks and higher education institutions to realize such thing becomes imperative. However, before the e banking systems can be implemented, study to analyze the approval of such systems need to be conducted to confirm that the stakeholders are all in agreement and ready for the technology. This research uses the Technology Acceptance Model to evaluate external factors that influence students in using the e-banking service. Results of conducted study are expected to reveal whether the e-banking services can be adopted and used by the students and to also help banks and higher education intitutions in planning the application of the service. The objects of research in this study are the students of Asian Banking Finance and Informatics Institute Perbanas, Jakarta. ABSTRACT Counterfeit currency nominal value of Rp 100.000,- and Rp 50.000,- is the highest circulating money. Thus are the reason why Bank Indonesia forming a central database called Bank Indonesia Conterfeit Analysis Center (BI-CAC). Indonesian government socialize how to recognize counterfeit money for the community as a preventative measure, the 3D method; Dilihat (seen) , Diraba (touched) and Diterawang. The principle of "seen" is a method that will be used in the pattern recognition / image for visual perception as objects that can be seen by the human eye has an important role. The concept of "seen" on the 3D method for the introduction of the authenticity of the Indonesian currency, the image is done by the introduction of the currency and digital image processing to detect authenticity. The identification of Rupiah paper currency using 2DPCA feature extraction method which is an extension of PCA. ABSTRACT In any line of business in the industry the ability of controlling documents, widely known with the term Document Control, is an important key to confirm that the organization works the way it should be in order to achieve its goals. Consequently, banks, which are financial institutions providing services to the society, are required to be able to manage their documents effectively as they are dealing with pile of service standards and other important documents. Some banks have received the ISO 9001:2008 certifications related to providing excellent services for continuous improvement. A key requirement of this certification is the existence of document management systems as defined by the Quality Management clause. However, ISO 9001:2008 does not regulate how such system should be developed and implemented yet it focus more to the ease of access to documents exists and being used in the organization. In this study a document management system is developed and tested in an educational institution that has also received the ISO 9001:2008 certification, the Asian Banking Finance and Informatics Institute (ABFII) Perbanas. The developed document management system is aimed to replace the manual document management system used by ABFII Perbanas. It is expected that the prototype, despite of its development and testing environment, can also be used as a framework to design and build document management systems in other line of business, i.e banks and financial industry.
