•Onvoldoende feedback over gebruik en mogelijke verbeteringen.
•Kennis van de OEM over de machine wordt niet gebruikt.
•Suboptimalisatie van het eindsysteem. •Extra functionaliteit komt niet tot zijn recht. •Terughoudendheid in het tonen van technologie uit angst dat de concurrent het gebruikt.
•In het inkoopproces wordt toegevoegde waarde teveel terzijde geschoven.
•In het sales proces is er te weinig voorbereiding om waarde hard te maken.

•Bouw een langjarige relatie met Machineleverancier op. •Investeer in de waarde van nieuwe technologie. •Verlang onderbouwing van de waarde. •Betrek ook de serviceverleners en engineering partijen in dit proces.

•Vraagstelling gaat veranderen, qua onderhoud, betrouwbaarheid, energieverbruik.
•Hanteer dezelfde benadering naar de toeleveranciers, betrek de hele keten erbij.
•Denk na over nieuwe business modellen, die beter op LCM aansluiten.
