LET’S MEET FOR BUSINESS FINDING THE PERFECT PLACE
MATERIÁLY PRO UČITELE
Hi, Howard! This is Larry Backbee calling from Stormware. Aha…I’m calling about the conference that want to have in London. We’re coming, I think, some time in April, we were talking about it now. And I want to know from you recommendations, maybe if the place that I’ve picked…I think it looks quite good. I’ll send you the link on the internet. We need 70 people to be able to fit in the conference space but, you know, I’m just…we have a lot of different requirements so I’m going to need you to go check out the place and make sure that it’s…it can do everything that we need it to do. And do you know what the schedule’s like in April in England, what the calendar is because I know you guys have lots of bank holidays that I don’t understand why they’re called that but I know there’s going to be you know traffic and fairs and stuff like that going on so can you check out the calendar and see when in April … if we should…I think mid or late would be ideal but if we have to you know change it to early April or maybe even early May, we could probably do it. O.K. And this conference centre is quite close to the historical centre of London and they have good catering but I’m not sure what restaurants are in the area so if you can check that out and let us know and we also…my boss wants to have one kind of intimate night which is seven people. That will either be at the Opera or have a dinner and theatre or she was also saying that there might be…that the Opera, she thinks, actually holds these dinner meetings and so she wants to have a meeting with them, kind of privately to really discuss and finalize and sign the contracts and make sure everything goes as it…according to plan and seal the deals, yeah? O.K. And we’ll do that after the conference is over. And at the conference, you know, if we’re going to have a lot of presentations so we’re going to need you know the projection to show video and audio and you will be breaking down the different segments of the business and we’ll also be showing some documentaries about our work internationally. So I think it would be good if…to have…you know just to make sure the facilities are really classy because we want to impress these people because these are potential clients and not only that. But these people also have further contacts which should be really good for us long-term in terms of our growth strategy in Asia and other places. Good. O.K. And if you have recommendations on theater and music that might be appropriate for the last night and also that might be good for the… just during the conference itself because I want to be in the centre of town so we can spend the evenings going out and talking to each other, relating to each other because, you know, that’s where most of the real work gets done. Yeah and any nightclubs or coffee shops … anything that’s in the area that you can give us a heads up. Great. O.K. Thanks, thanks a lot and you have my e -mail, yeah, we’ll be in touch. O.K. And if you have any more questions, just let me know. And I’ll send you the link, absolutely for that conference hall that I’m looking at. O.K. Good. Yeah. The weather is terrible here, it’s always terrible, yeah I really should move back to California, I know. But I will see you in April, right? In England. Good. Yeah. O.K. Bye.
Ahoj Howarde! Tady Larry Backbee z firmy Stormware. Aha… A na té konferenci, když budeme mít hodně prezentací, budeme potřebovat projekci, abychom pouštěli videa i audio a budeme taky rozebírat jednotlivé segmenty byznysu. Jo a noční kluby, kavárny, cokoliv, co nám v té oblasti můžeš doporučit. Skvělé. Díky, díky moc. Máš můj e-mail, tak budeme v kontaktu. A kdybys měl ještě otázky, dej mi vědět.
