ABSTRACTION
Indonesia has many tourism assets which can be processed, one of which is in the field of arts and culture. Indonesian arts itself is very diverse, ranging from dance, music, painting, or sculpture. Art that can be processed into one tourism asset of which is the wax sculpture. From this, arose an idea how to preserve the wax sculpture which at once can be an asset of Indonesian tourism. One way that can be done is to create a wax museum, whose contents exhibit the works of wax figure of the character in the domestic and foreign affairs are .important for the world. Therefore, interior design of Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, museum that showcased figure of famous people, can be a way out for the development of Indonesian tourism, and the preservation an development of wax sculpture that has not been widely known to the public. Theme ” Inform Indonesia to the world and introducing the world to Indonesia” is expected to be a bridge for Indonesia to get to know the world more broadly. Development and growth of museum in modern times has been very fast, both in terms of facilities and building form. A good museum is the museum that adjust the design of the form, color, material selection, and good lighting settings to create a comfortable atmosphere for visitors as well as informative and educative. By using the concept ”walk in time”, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum can deliver the visitors to the various times, be it past, present, and future, also meet directly with famous figure, and finally get valuable experiences which unforgettable.
