ABSTRAK Skripsi yang berjudul An Analysis Of The Main Characters Conflict In New Moon By Stephenie Meyer ini membahas Tentang conflict yang terjadi pada tokoh –tokoh yang terdapat di dalam novel New Moon karya Stephenie Meyer. Konflik merupakan ekspresi pertikaian antara individu dengan individu lain, kelompok dengan kelompok lain karena beberapa alasan. Dalam pandangan ini, pertikaian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan antara dua atau lebih individu yang diekspresikan, diingat, dan dialami .Penulis banyak menemukan konflik di dalam Novel New Moon.Dalam penyusunan Novel ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian Kepustakaan (library research ) dan menggunakan Novel New Moon tersebut sehingga dapat di gunakan metode data collection dan data analysis sebagai bahan referensi atau rujukan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang mendukung judul ini .Sehingga di dapatlah kesimpulan tentang pengertian dan jenis-jenis dari konflik yang merupakan judul dari skirpsi ini.Dalam menganalisis conflict tokoh utama dalam novel New Moon ini menggunakan bagian –bagian dari conflik yaitu,internal konflik and External konflik yang ada pada tokoh utama dalam Novel New Moon. Dalam menyimpulkan tokoh utama dalam Novel New Moon ini. Penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif sehingga diketahui persamaan dan perbedaan tokoh utama yang berasal dari dunia berbeda.Dan Penulis menganalisis konflik yang ada pada novel dengan mencari statement yang merujuk kepada konflik yang terjadi pada character di dalam Novel New Moon tersebut. Kata Kunci: conflict, internal conflict, external conflict
