Wolkom Namens Vloot Friesland heet ik u van harte welkom voor het ONK te Heeg. We zijn erg blij en trots om dit evenement samen met WSH te mogen organiseren. Dit is ook een unieke gebeurtenis, zeker omdat in deze week ook nog de Euro zal plaatsvinden in Sneek. Een ander gegeven is dat wij als eerste klasse gebruik kunnen maken van een prachtig nieuwe voorziening. WSH heeft afgelopen jaar zich kapot gewerkt om dit gebouw en plan tot stand te brengen. Wij voelen ons dan ook zeer vereerd om hier als een van de eerste gebruik van te mogen maken. Daarnaast varen we op één van de mooiste meren en plekken van Friesland. We zijn ook erg blij met de groot aantal deelnemers, 70 deelnemers! Naast de wedstrijden hebben we ook een sociaal
programma opgezet voor zowel de zeilers als de partners. Verderop in het programmaboekje kunt u een overzicht vinden van het programma voor komende dagen. Vrijwilligers van WSH hebben met veel passie en inzet meegwerkt aan de organisatie van dit ONK. Daarnaast hebben we ook hulp van studenten van het CIOS Watersport. We zijn blij met al deze hulp en hopen dat we met zijn allen een prachtig ONK zullen beleven. Bij deze alvast veel dank mensen!! We hopen op een sportief een spannend ONK! Veel zeil plezier! Beste Olympia jollen zeiler, Het is lang geleden dat de WSH jullie hier voor een ONK heeft mogen begroeten en jullie kunnen zien dat er heel wat veranderd is. De tent op de haven is verdwenen en jullie hebben de eer om als eerste van onze nieuwe accommodatie gebruik te kunnen maken. Duidelijk is dat het nog niet af is en dat er nog heel wat werk verzet moet worden. Maar niettemin zijn we er al ongelofelijk trots op en we hopen natuurlijk dat jullie O-jollen de eerste zijn van een eindeloos lange rij kampioenschappen in dit nieuwe zeilcentrum. Ik zie veel gelijkenissen tussen de Olympiajollen en de Watersportvereniging Heeg. Net als de Olympia jol, (maar nog zeker niet zo lang, WSH bestaat bijna 50 jaar, de O jol zeilt al meer dan 80 jaar rond) weten wij dat je met de tijd mee moeten gaan om aantrekkelijk te blijven voor al je leden/zeilers. En het streven dat iedereen van jong tot oud zich thuis voelen is ook iets wat wij beiden hoog in het vaandel hebben. Naast de nieuwe accommodatie hebben we ook veel geïnvesteerd in de mensen
die deze wedstrijden mogelijk maken. De rescue cursus is een jaarlijks terugkerende activiteit, die er voor zorgt dat de stand-by boten op hun taak zijn voorbereid. Ook op het startschip hebben diverse mensen hun kennis met cursussen verrijkt. Daarnaast is volgens mij het Heegermeer een van de mooiste zeilwaters van Nederland en dus staat er niks meer in de weg om van dit weekend een prachtig kampioenschap te maken. Ik wens jullie allen een goed weekend in Heeg, gezellig avonden in het dorp, mooi weer, voldoende wind, sportieve wedstrijden en dat de beste maar mag winnen. Hans Ritzema Voorzitter WSH

Omgeving Heeg De locaties Heeg en Sneek liggen beiden in de gemeente Súdwest-Fryslân (ook wel Zuidwest-Friesland). Deze gemeente is ontstaan per 1 januari 2011 door het samenvoegen van een aantal kleinere gemeenten. Deze gemeente ligt in de Nederlandse provincie Friesland en is gelegen in de regio Zuidwest-Friesland. De gemeente heeft 82.284 inwoners (bron: CBS) en een oppervlakte van 815,97 km², onderverdeeld in 433,09 km² land en 382,88 km² water. Hiermee is het qua totaaloppervlakte de grootste gemeente van Nederland. Heeg ligt een kleine tien kilometer ten zuiden van Sneek aan de noordelijke oever van het Heegermeer. Vanuit Heeg is het IJsselmeer eenvoudig te bereiken via het Johan Frisokanaal, de Fluessen, de Morra en daarna de stad Stavoren. De palingvisserij was lange tijd een belangrijk middel van bestaan. Tot 1914 werd vanuit Heeg paling naar Londen geëxporteerd; de Heeger palingvissers hadden tot 1938 hun eigen ligplaats op de Theems bij de Tower Bridge. In het wapen van Heeg is een paling afgebeeld.

Fotografie: Natasha gaat tijdens het ONK en de EURO foto’s maken, hierbij stellen we haar en haar bedrijf aan u voor. Wie/wat is Photosailing? Mijn naam is Natasja en ik ben zelf geen (wedstrijd)zeiler. Zeilen als vakantie activiteit, dat doe ik wel. Maar daarbij hanteer ik de volgende eisen: minimaal 30 graden, 35 voet, een stuurwiel en iedere middag een (andere) haven inlopen. Fotograferen van zeilwedstrijden, onder welke omstandigheden dan ook, dat vind ik dan weer wel leuk. Dit is ontstaan als hobby tijdens de wedstrijden van mijn dochter, maar ondertussen uitgegroeid tot een semiprofessionele activiteit. 7
CIOS Watersport Waar water is daar ben jij! Je speelt met de wind, zet je zeilen in de juiste stand voor de beste koers. Je zoekt de hoogste golf uit voor een nieuwe sprong met je kiteboard. Kortom, jij bent een echte watersportfanaat. Niet bang om nat en koud te worden. En daarnaast ken je als geen ander de regels op het water. Jouw passie voor varen overbrengen op anderen, dat is wat jij het liefste doet. Het kan, bij CIOS Watersport. Ga overstag en meld je aan! Theorie Je krijgt in deze specialisatie te maken met algemene vakken zoals Nederlands, een vreemde taal, sport & gedrag, Medic First Aid en Zwemmend Redden. Daarnaast heb je algemene vakken die we bij CIOS Watersport ‘watersportgericht’ aanbieden. Dit geldt voor didactiek (lesgeven), trainingskunde en management. En je krijgt specifieke watersportvakken: • CWO theorie én praktijk • Rescue • Basis Wedstrijd Organisatie • Vaarbewijs • Marifonie De theorievakken doen we zoveel mogelijk in de winterperiode. Dan ben je dus de meeste dagen op school bij het CIOS in Heerenveen. Bezig zijn met (water)sport We zijn regelmatig op pad voor excursies en oriëntatie in het werkveld van de watersport. Ook besteden we veel tijd op en om het water. Om zelf (nog) beter te leren varen, instructie te geven, een evenement te organiseren of om een project te leiden. We zijn vaak op het Sneekermeer of bij een vaarschool. Voor verdieping of verbreding kies je uit extra activiteiten als kajuitboot varen en kitesurfen.

In het tweede én derde jaar kies je, naast de richting Watersport, bij het CIOS een klein profiel. Dit is een extra sportrichting waar je één dag in de week mee bezig bent. Je gaat hiervoor ook op stage. Klein profielen die goed aansluiten bij Watersport zijn onder andere Buitensport, Duiken en Snowsport. We raden je aan om in ieder geval één van deze profielen te kiezen. Omdat je met de klein profielen een bredere CIOS-opleiding doet, heb je na je opleiding meer kans op werk en ben je breder inzetbaar. Stage In de watersport ben je aan het werk als andere mensen weekend, vrije tijd of vakantie hebben. De stages vinden dan ook in die perioden plaats. Natuurlijk houden we ons aan het aantal vrije dagen waar je recht op hebt, maar dat zijn niet altijd de dagen van de reguliere schoolvakanties! De eerste stage is bij een CWO-vaarschool waar CIOS Watersport mee samenwerkt . Voor kitesurfen ga je naar een bedrijf wat is aangesloten bij het Watersportverbond. Is de eerste stage goed verlopen, dan mag de tweede stage in het buitenland plaatsvinden. Ook daar werken we samen met een aantal bedrijven, voornamelijk op Curaçao en Gran Canaria.
IOU Nederland Beste Olympiajolvrienden Een Open Nationaal Kampioenschap is de belangrijkste wedstrijd van het jaar in ons land. De hoogst te behalen titel, met vaak het grootste deelnemersveld. En dit jaar klopt dat laatste zeker! Tachtig plus Olympiajollen! Een fantastisch aantal na de laatste jaren tussen de 45 en 56 deelnemers. Een groot maar zeker ook sterk veld. Wellicht sterker dan de laatste jaren met de beste Olympiajol zeilers van ver weg en dichtbij. Van 60 jaar ervaring tot relatieve beginners, aankomende en ex Olympiërs, fanatieke wedstrijdzeilers en genietende medestrijders: divers als onze klasse is. Maar allemaal verenigd in passie voor het racen in dat heerlijke schip. En op een prachtig water: het Heegermeer. De organiserende Watersport Vereniging Heeg heeft het laatste jaar en in het bijzonder de laatste maanden zeer hard gewerkt om hun nieuwe accommodatie voor ons gereed te hebben. Niet overal zal het laatste laagje verf op zitten maar het prachtige gebouw aan de Pharshoeke is klaar om onze grote groep zeilers, al of niet met onze partners, te ontvangen. Wij zijn blij en trots om als eerste klasse van deze nieuwe faciliteiten gebruik te kunnen maken. Natuurlijk staat deze ONK enigszins in het teken van de EURO, een week later op het Snekermeer. Maar dat heeft alleen maar positief bijgedragen aan een perfect voorbereidde ONK. Onze vrienden van Vloot Friesland hebben een top voorbereiding geklaard. Met groot enthousiasme is er door zoveel zeilers, partners, vrijwilligers, sponsoren en anderen hard gewerkt aan een prachtig wedstrijd en sociaal programma. Een geweldige organisatie, een heus opgerichte stichting, een prachtige website, een goed degelijk financieel beleid, teasing columns, slim PR beleid en veel oog voor detail. De laatste maanden ging het over weinig anders in onze grootste vloot van Nederland: iedereen werkte met hard en ziel aan een perfecte voorbereiding van deze mooie evenementen. Natuurlijk, de moord op Bonifatius is niet zomaar vergeten, maar met deze fantastisch inspanning hebben onze Friese vrienden een nu al historisch stuk werk geleverd. De IOUN is
jullie zeer dankbaar! Fantastisch veld, goede organisatie, prima faciliteiten: het doet allemaal recht aan onze fraaie klasse. Want de Olympiajol staat er in dit Lustrumjaar prima voor in Nederland: continue groei, grote startvelden, een heerlijke onderlinge sfeer en zoveel zeilplezier. We weten al waarom: Olympiajol zeilers zijn echte zeilliefhebbers! Met veel inzet en fanatisme. En ons tachtig jaar oude schip is een echte heerlijke moderne klassieker. The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing. The ‘Rules for Championships Sailing, Windsurfing and Kiteboarding’ will apply. Racing rule(s) Part 4 preamble, A4, A5, 26, 29.2, 33, 35, 62.1(a), 62.2, 64.1, 65.2, and 66 will be changed. The changes will appear in full in the sailing instructions. If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence. Every person on board who has his domicile in the Netherlands shall have the appropriate license.

To alert boats that a race or sequence of races will begin soon, an orange flag will be displayed with one sound at least four minutes before a warning signal is made. On the last day of the regatta no warning signal will be made after 14:00 CET.

Attachment A shows the location of the racing area.
The diagrams in Attachment B show the courses, including the approximate angles between legs, the order in which marks are to be passed, and the side on which each mark is to be left. The approximate course length will be adjusted to the target times (see 15.1).
MARKS
Marks of the course are: Yellow cylindrical buoys marked with A,B,C and orange round Buoys marked with 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The starting marks will be cylindrical yellow buoys. The finishing marks will be round yellow buoys.
AREAS THAT ARE OBSTRUCTIONS
The buoyed channel across the Heegermeer, named ‘Johan Frisokanaal’, is to be avoided during racing (see attachment B). Boats may not sail inside or cross this channel during the race. The channel is classed as a continuing obstruction according to the definitions in the RRS.
THE START
Races will be started by using rule 26 with the warning signal made 5 minutes before the starting signal. The starting line will be between a white/red stake on the Committee Signal Boat and the course side of the Outer Limit Mark (OLM). The Committee Signal Boat will be located to the starboard side of the starting line. At port side of the Committee Signal Boat an Inner Limit mark (ILM) will be laid. When starting the ILM should be kept to starboard. A boat that violates this rule will be excluded without a hearing. This modifies RRS 63.1. The Committee Signal Boat will be carrying the WSH flag. Boats whose warning signal has not been made shall avoid the starting area during the starting sequence for other races. A boat starting later than 4 minutes after her starting signal will be scored Did Not Start without a hearing. This changes rule A4 and A5. If flag U has been displayed as the preparatory signal, no part of a boat’s hull, crew, or equipment shall be in the triangle formed by the ends of the starting line and the first mark during the last minute before her starting signal. If a boat breaks this rule and is identified, she shall be disqualified without a hearing but not if the race is restarted or resailed or postponed or abandoned before the starting signal. This changes rule 26. is shown with two sound signals. The new start time At a general recall flag First Substitute "EV" at a general recall will be 5 minutes after the previous start is declared invalid. The running order as

in the starting schedule will always be maintained. Lowering the class flag for the invalid start in this case applies as the new visual warning signal. The First Substitute will be removed at the one minute signal. This modifies rule 29.2 and match signals.

CHANGE OF THE NEXT LEG OF THE COURSE

To change the next leg of the course, the race committee will move the original mark (or the finishing line) to a new position. No signals will be given. This changes rule 33.

PENALTY SYSTEM
The finishing line will be between the course side of round buoys with the colour yellow.
Decisions of the protest committee concerning the qualifying races will be final as provided in rule 70.5. The Royal Netherlands Watersport Association has granted permission under rule 70.5 (a) and the prescription of the Royal Netherlands Watersport Association to this rule.

If no boat has passed Mark 1 within the Mark 1 time limit, the race will be abandoned. Failure to meet the target time will not be grounds for redress. This changes rule 62.1(a). Boats failing to finish within 15 minutes after the first boat sails the course and finishes will be scored Did Not Finish without a hearing. This changes rules 35, A4 and A5.
PROTESTS AND REQUESTS FOR REDRESS
Protest forms are available at the regatta office (see Attachment A). Protests shall be delivered there within the protest time limit. For each class, the protest time limit is 60 minutes after the last boat has finished the last race of the day, or the race committee signals no more racing today, whichever is later. Notices will be posted within 30 minutes of the protest time limit to inform competitors of hearings in which they are parties or named as witnesses. Hearings will be held in the jury room, located at the regatta office. Notices of protests by the race committee or protest committee will be posted to inform boats under rule 61.1(b). On the last day of the regatta and after the last qualifying race a request for reopening a hearing shall be delivered (a) within the protest time limit if the party requesting reopening was informed of the decision on the previous day; (b) no later than 30 minutes after the party requesting reopening was informed of the decision on that day. This changes rule 66. On the last scheduled day of racing and after the last qualifying race a request for redress from a protest committee decision shall be delivered no later than 30 minutes after the decision was posted. This changes rule 62.2. A request for a decision in writing has to be delivered within one hour after the decision is given verbally. This changes rule 65.2. A request for correction of an error in the published results has to be delivered within the protest time limit of the last scheduled day of racing or within 60 minutes after posting of the results, if this is later. When the request is not granted, the protest time limit is 60 minutes after the boat is informed that the request is not granted. This changes rule 62.2.

Decisions of the protest committee in the qualifying races will be final as provided in rule 70.5. The RNWA has granted permission in accordance with rule 70.5(a) and the prescriptions of the RNWA to this rule.
SCORING
Four races are required to be completed to constitute a series. (a) When fewer than 5 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores. (b) When from 5, 6, 7 or 8 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. (c) When 9 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores
SAFETY REGULATIONS
Every boat has to check in before his first start of every race day, to-the-wind sailing, between the Committee Signal Boat and a blue buoy at starboard side of the Committee Signal boat, showing his sail number clearly to the race committee. If the race is postponed, recalled or broken off, boats do not need to sign in again. A boat that retires from a race shall notify the race committee as soon as possible.
REPLACEMENT OF CREW OR EQUIPMENT

Substitution of damaged or lost equipment will not be allowed unless approved by the race committee. Requests for substitution shall be made to the committee at the first reasonable opportunity.

EQUIPMENT AND MEASUREMENT CHECKS
A boat or equipment may be inspected at any time for compliance with the class rules and sailing instructions. On the water, a boat can be instructed by the race committee or a measurer to proceed immediately to a designated area for inspection.
At registration competitors will receive a registration form and have to comply with: (a) The competitor shall sign the entry form to declare he will act according The ‘Rules for Championships Sailing, Windsurfing and Kiteboarding’ and the championship rules. (b) Each competitor shall produce a valid measurement certificate. (c) Dutch competitors shall produce a valid “wedstrijdlicentie” (d) Each competitor shall produce a valid bank statement or insurance statement, so the championship-organisation can see that the insurance is paid and the liability insurance is accurate. (e) The rudder that will be used during the championship shall be presented (profile or flat). (f) Participating boats might be subjected to measurement procedures before and during the championship. These measurements might include items such as: - The position of the rigging (on deck); - Inventory (such as troll, life-jacket); - Tapes on mast and boom; - Dagger (place- bolt – angle); - Rudder (place – pivot); - Etc. After having fulfilled the entry / registration requirements ( a, b, c, d & e) the boat will be added to the starting list. Registration will be held on Friday, August 28, from 10:00 until 18:00 CET and on Saturday, August 29, from 08:00 until 11:00 CET at the regatta office.

Trash may be placed aboard support and race committee boats. A penalty for breaking rule 55 may be less than disqualification if the protest committee so decides. This changes rule 64.1.
A boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones. VHF will only be used for safety communication.

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of Euro 1.500.000 per event or the equivalent.

Qualifying Races
If stated in the Sailing Instructions, qualifying races will be scheduled in the mentioned classes according to these sailing instructions Addendum K. a.
During qualifying races the start of Start Group II will be 5 minutes after a valid start of Start Group I. During the final races the start of the Silver fleet will be 5 minutes after a valid start of the Gold fleet. This is according to the Sailing Instructions.

After the qualifying races boats will be assigned to final-series fleets Gold and Silver. If three qualifying races are completed, the worst result in the qualifying races will (temporarily) be discarded. If less than three races are completed, the ranking is based on the results without discard.

At the qualifying races as well as at the final series the same number of fleets will be scheduled. The final-series fleets will have, as nearly as possible, equal size, but in a way that the Silver fleet is never larger than the Gold fleet. Boats with the best qualifying-series ranks, will race all final-series races in the Gold fleet, boats with the next-best qualifying-series ranks will race in the Silver fleet.

Providing that three qualifying races are completed the first sailing day, the assignment to Gold- and Silver fleet will be posted on the official notice board(s) located at the regatta office at 2100 hrs. If at that time two or less qualifying races are completed, the races on the next day are also qualifying races until three races are completed.
g.
If only two qualifying races are completed after the day before the last day of racing, the assignment to the Gold and Silver fleet will be made on the basis of two qualifying races. If only one qualifying race is completed after the day before the last day of racing, the qualifying series will be extended until two valid races are completed.
h.
Points for letter scores as mentioned in rule A11 RRS are the same as points given in the biggest possible fleet +1. This changes rule A4.2 RRS.
