Penggemar olahraga papan roda sekarang bisa menambah koleksi baju dan papan roda mereka dengan desain batik baru. Mengambil tema ‘Batik in a New Wave’, Aji Nugroho, perancang busana muda dari Indonesia, memperkenalkan kreasi barunya itu dengan mengadakan pameran di lapangan papan roda City Skate Park. Aji dikirim oleh pemerintah Indonesia ke Australia sebagai wakil program ‘Pertukaran Budaya’. Program ini didanai oleh Departemen Kebudayaan dan Departemen Luar Negeri dengan tujuan memperkenalkan, meningkatkan minat dan pengertian masyarakat Australia terhadap budaya Indonesia serta memperkuat hubungan kedua negara. Selama tinggal di Australia, Aji mendapatkan hobi baru yaitu bermain papan roda. Melihat betapa serunya desain baju-baju kaos dan hiasan gambar-gambar papan roda yang ada serta kecintaannya terhadap batik, Aji pun mulai membuat desain batik untuk dipakai pada baju-baju kaos dan papan roda. Aji berharap bahwa batik akan lebih sering dipakai penggemar olahraga papan roda.

Text 6 Film “Kabayan Jadi Milyuner” Dibanjiri Penonton Film “Kabayan Jadi Milyuner” menarik perhatian pencinta film nasional. Film ini yang dibintangi Jamie Aditya (yang berperan utama sebagai Kabayan) dan Rianti Cartwright ini dibanjiri 30 ribu penonton dalam seminggu. Tak heran jika masyarakat begitu antusias menyaksikan film komedi yang telah menjadi legenda itu. Penonton benar-benar perlu hiburan yang mendidik dan penuh unsur komedi tanpa dibumbui adegan kekerasan, yang sering menjadikan film seperti itu tidak cocok untuk semua usia. Penonton tersenyum dan tertawa sepanjang durasi film “Kabayan Jadi Milyuner” yang memiliki muatan kelokalan dan juga unsur kemanusiaan yang universal. Sampai sekarang, ada kekurangan film berdasarkan cerita rakyat yang termasuk budaya daerah lokal. Film ini memberi warna untuk perfilman nasional. Selain itu, lokasi syuting film ini memamerkan kawasan Jawa Barat dengan pemandangannya yang indah. Film ini bercerita tentang kepergian Kabayan dari sebuah kampung di Jawa Barat ke kota besar, yaitu Jakarta. Di Kota Jakarta, Kabayan tidak cocok dengan gaya hidup modern. Text 7 UPAYA UNTUK MEMPERBARUI BERBELANJA DI PASAR-PASAR Yualita Harjono, Selasa, 7 Juni 2011 Dahulu berbelanja di pasar tradisional memang menyenangkan. Tidak saja melihat sayuran hijau dan ikan laut yang segar, tetapi juga menikmati suasana di pasar itu. Orang lalu-lalang, tawar-menawar, dan mendengar pedagang menawarkan dagangannya. Sayang sekali, dewasa ini pasar tradisional adalah tempat yang kotor dan tidak rapi. Jadi, ada upaya dari pemerintah daerah untuk merevitalisasi dan memperbarui pasar tradisional sehingga bisa bersaing dengan supermarket yang menawarkan suasana belanja yang nyaman dan aman. Di sekelilingi Kota Jakarta, Bekasi, dan Tangerang, sekarang mulai bermunculan pasar modern. Tadi pagi saya mewawancarai beberapa orang di salah satu pasar yang lebih modern. Berikut ini adalah pikiran mereka. Sri: Sangat menyenangkan di pasar-pasar modern seperti ini. Suasananya tidak basah, gelap, bau, seperti pasar tradisional. Lihatlah bangunan ini! Sirkulasi udara baik sekali sehingga hawa dalam ruangan tidak panas. Enak sekali! Andri: Setiap akhir minggu ada banyak pengunjung di pasar ini. Orang-orang berolahraga di halaman pasar, lalu mereka menyerbu pasar-pasar. Mereka naik ke lantai atas untuk sarapan pagi lalu mampir ke los sayuran dan daging. Di sini mereka bisa bercakap-cakap dengan temanteman sambil menikmati makan nasi goreng atau bubur ayam. Ya, saya lebih suka pasar lebih modern ini. Rudi: Di pasar lebih modern, pengunjung juga bisa mengikuti kegiatan olahraga aerobik. Bahkan, saya baru mendengar pengelola pasar berencana untuk mengadakan ‘Acara Istimewa’ dengan dukungan stasiun radio. Ada senam aerobik, kompetesi masak, undian berhadiah, dan panggung artis. Semua kegiatan tersebut tidak pernah diadakan di pasar tradisional umumnya! Luar biasa! Dewasa ini, pasar yang lebih modern menjual sayur-sayuran, daging, dan buah-buahan segar. Ada banyak macam sayuran dan buahan yang berwarna-warna dan memikat mata. Jenis sayuran dan buah-buahan yang disajikan pun sangat menarik serta jarang ditemukan di pasar tradisional. Orang yang mampir di pasar seperti ini kelihatan menikmati pengalamannya. Berbelanja di pasar modern bisa menjadi salah satu alternatif bagi keluarga sekarang dan untuk masa depan.
