SELAMAT DATANG DI TANAKITA! Selamat Datang di RRREC Fest in The Valley 2015! “Music and art need each other and can be used to connect people” Enjoy RRREC Fest in The Valley 2015! 2
WELCOME TO TANAKITA! Welcome to RRREC Fest in The Valley 2015! This year RRREC Fest takes place for the second time in the valley of Tanakita Camping Ground in Sukabumi. The excitement experience, intimate chats, and the happy atmosphere from last year that made us continued this open air festival in the beautiful landscape at Tanakita. With the same mission and spirit, we strive to design programs that would fit with more fruitful features to be enjoyed in a fun weekend. This festival aims to be a fun and memorable weekend getaway arena, as well as a platform for the creation of a meeting spot for music festivals goers, musicians, artists, activists, local residents, and interdisciplinary public across the generations; within an intimate, pleasant, laid back, and natural atmosphere for 3 days and 2 nights in Tanakita. We believe that fresh and innovative ideas are generally born in a social gathering style atmosphere and in informal conversations that are relaxed, natural, and friendly. This festival is set out to mediate the need for this kind of gathering. During everyday life we constantly preoccupied with works and rarely have time to meet, so there should be times when we are going on holiday together to have fun with music and art while talking and hanging out together in a more spare time in the open space with refreshing atmosphere. Hopefully, this festival could become a memorable annual holiday event, as well as a meeting place with friends and new acquaintances to establish further friendship and the possibility of collaboration in the future. Our thanks are extended to all partner, musicians, artists, production team, volunteers, and all of you who have supported RRREC Fest in The Valley 2015. “Music and art need each other and can be used to connect people” Enjoy RRREC Fest in The Valley 2015!

RURU Corps would like to say thank you very much to our great friends, for their hard work and commitments; also to all the musicians, artists, partners, and all of you who have been willing to provide various forms of support in realizing this festival. Mengapa kebencian makin terasa banyak disebarkan? Bagaimana menumbuhkan kembali toleransi? Bagaimana merespon menghadapi syiar kebencian? Bagaimana mendorong orang lebih toleran aktif? Mengapa penting menjaga toleransi? Apa akibatnya jika toleransi dibiarkan mati?

TALKS PROGRAM RRREC FEST X PUSAD Recently, expressions of resentment between groups/communities, or just toward those who are different from the convenient; using Whatsapp, blackberry messenger, SMS, Facebook, Twitter, or even in an open lecture; to convey hostilities and hatred for certain groups. In many cases, many people believe the false information (hateful speech) they get. Then, without a second thought or checking the truth, they pass it on or forward those messages. This is just one example out of the millions of intolerable activities to spark hatred out there these days, using modern digital technologies that are available. In this discussion program, we are hoping to find a solution on how to respond when facing this type of intolerance. Don’t we have the energy anymore to fight these kinds of hatred amongst society? Where is the tolerance amongst different religions or backgrounds that was clearly here, because we felt it, years ago? Why is hatred seems more widely deployed? How do we regrow tolerance? How to respond and to confront the hate speeches we get? How to encourage people to be more tolerant-active? Why is it important to maintain tolerance? What are the consequences if we let tolerance disappear?

TALKS PROGRAM RRREC FEST X WALHI BINCANG PERUBAHAN IKLIM & GAYA HIDUP/CLIMATE CHANGES & LIFESTYLE 27 September 2015 / 10.00 – 11.30 / Tanakita Camping Ground Pembicara/Speakers: Edo Rakhman (Manager Campaign of WALHI - Jkt) Azer (Visual Artist, Comic Artist - Jkt) Andreas Siagian (Artist, Founder of lifepatch - Yk) Moderator: Saleh Husein (Artist, Guitarist of White Shoes & The Couples Company - Jkt) Perubahan iklim, pemanasan global dan seterusnya, mungkin bukan tema yang biasa menjadi bahan obrolan kita sehari-hari.

masyarakat, tua, muda hingga anak-anak. Climate change, global warming, and so on, may not be a customary theme we talk about everyday. But then phrases like “It’s so hot today” or “The rain cycle is unpredictable” seem to become more common and familiar to our ears. The impact of the change in climate has already affected our everyday lives. Scientific facts and data have shown how global climate has extremely changed in the last decade, which raises the phenomena of unpredictable weather. The impact of climate change has caused: difficulties in planting for farmers, difficulties in sailing for fishermen, drought, floods, and other disasters. All that happened as a result from a world development model that does not take into account the supporting capacity and accommodating capacity of the environment that is limited. Must also be taken into account is our lifestyle and consumption patterns in utilizing natural resources, which we often forget also has limits. Our excess consumption has contributed to the deterioration of the environment and climate change. Of course not easy to cope with the environmental crisis and the impact of climate change, but all efforts must necessarily be done immediately. This effort cannot be done alone or only by environmental organizations such as WALHI. Environmental preservation must be done by a lot of people and be a joint movement throughout the community, old, young, and children. Therefore, it takes a step to give an understanding of the importance of the environment for the community, especially the young, by building awareness of managing lifestyle and consumption patterns wisely for sustainability and human life at this time in the future. If the indigenous peoples, farmers, and fishermen have been adapting to face the impact of climate change. What about us?

Itu sebabnya, selain disampaikan kepada para pengambil kebijakan dan mitra-mitra LSM, hasil-hasil riset PUSAD juga disiarkan melalui media sosial dan bisa diakses publik dengan mudah. http://paramadina-pusad.or.id/ Center for the Study of Religion & Democracy (Pusat Studi Agama & Demokrasi - PUSAD) Paramadina is an institution under Paramadina Foundation that conducts research and advocacy in the areas of social, politic and religion. PUSAD established in 2006, with the vision of “the peace interaction between religion and democracy in Indonesia.” In addition to utilizing the theory and current approach in the social sciences to look at specific problems in Indonesia, our research also noticed variations in the studied cases. We believe that lesson learned from those cases will be useful to increase the quality of democracy. PUSAD executed based on the principle that research and advocacy related to each other. Strong advocacy can only be done based on the results of research that could be justified through methods and data. Instead, the results of research will only be useful if it is distributed via adequate advocacy model. That is the reason that our research not only communicated to policy makers and NGO partners, but also delivered through social media and can be easily accessed by public. http://paramadina-pusad.or.id/
