MEDICINE, VITAMINS AND COSMETICS There is no question regarding medicines and vitamin pills, which are swallowed or injected (pork insulin). Although some antibiotics contain gelatine capsule, their consuming is not classified by the Torah as “enjoying forbbiden thing” (hana’at ha-sur). Note: Many creams contain animal fat. Thus, make sure that the cream won’t get into the mouth. The same applies to lip balms and lipsticks.
