Reparaties en garantiegevallen: Alle binnenkomende garantiegevallen behandelen wij nog dezelfde dag. Indien wij het probleem zelf kunnen constateren wordt het apparaat zo spoedig mogelijk bij ons in huis gerepareerd of doorgestuurd

aan de fabrikant. Wij zijn onder andere onderdeel van het Epson Service Center en voeren garantie reparaties zelf uit. Hierdoor zijn wij sneller en vakkundiger dan andere distributeurs die hun producten voor reparatie naar de fabrikant moeten versturen. INSTALLATIE SERVICE Met de hulp van Jarltech kan de stress die een installatie kan veroorzaken bij grote projecten enorm worden gereduceerd. Op uw verzoek installeren en configureren wij systemen, PC‘s en andere apparaten voordat wij hen naar u of direct naar uw klant(en) versturen. Dit kan de installatie zijn van uw eigen logo‘s, uw POS software op een kassasysteem, alsook eventueel het voorzien van apparaten zoals printers of scanners met uw eigen naam. Ook de configuratie van Windows CE op handheld apparaten of de reguliere installatie van Windows op een PC. Uw technici hoeven geen uren meer te besteden aan de configuratie van systemen- en of apparaten. Wat zij enkel nog moeten doen is het plaatsen en aansluiten van de systemen en apparaten op de gewenste locatie. Vooral bij grote bestellingen kan onze configuratie en installatie service u enorm veel tijd en personeelskosten besparen.

Bovendien geeft Jarltech u en uw klanten de garantie dat de aangeschafte systemen naar behoren werken. De apparaten worden tijdens de configuratie gelijktijdig onderzocht op mogelijke defecten en- of beschadigingen. Deze defecte apparaten worden er natuurlijk onmiddellijk tussenuit gehaald. VOLLEDIGE CASCO GARANTIE Jarltech geeft u de mogelijkheid om uw klanten interessante diensten te bieden, die hen bescherming bieden tegen defecten die niet onder de garantie van de fabrikant vallen. Ongeacht of het probleem is veroorzaakt tengevolge van onvoorzichtigheid, uitzonderlijk intensief gebruik, nalatigheid of ongetraind personeel. Met onze Volledige Casco Garantie, behoren hoge onderhoudskosten of onverwachte onderhoudskosten van hardware tot het verleden. Tegen een extra betaling van 18 procent, ontvangt u een »all inclusive« service pakket van Jarltech. Als een apparaat niet meer werkt zoals het hoort te werken gedurende de eerste drie jaar na aankoop, ongeacht de oorzaak, repareren wij het apparaat of het wordt vervangen door een gelijkwaardig apparaat. Dit zonder tijdrovend papierwerk, discussies en/of onderzoeken.

Het voordeel voor uw klant is duidelijk: Hoewel de initiële kosten hoger zijn, zijn gedurende de gehele garantieperiode onverwachte kosten van hardwaredefecten uitgesloten. Op langere termijn, is de investering gewaarborgd en uw klant is altijd verzekerd van vervanging van zijn defecte hardware. Why should a successful project not be expanded upon? Exactly, there is nothing that speaks against the idea. Seeing what a success the Jarltech catalogues in Europe, the Middle East and in North Africa are, while also being a unique item in the industry in printed form, Jarltech decided to also produce a Chinese version of the catalogue. Review of the first edition: in China the catalogue is extremely popular, thus resulting in the production of a second edition mid-year in 2013, entirely in Chinese. What a great job by our Chinese colleagues!

Jarltech – An Efficient Warehousing and Logistics Concept How to ready shipments faster using Getac‘s E100 tablet PC

Jarltech‘s growing challenge During the past 15 years, Jarltech became one of the most important European specialist distributors of POS and Auto-ID hardware; and its growth is continuing. The headquarters in Usingen alone boasts 1000 m² of office and 3000 m² of warehouse space. Despite the requirements that such a size results in, Jarltech always put high priority on customer needs. The company offers many additional services, including very high stock availability and, for many European countries, an evening shipping service. The challenge, therefore, was to meet the growing space requirements and demands on employees in the warehousing and logistics section, without experiencing financial stress or loss of quality in deliveries.

There was no way around it: to guarantee efficient warehousing and fast order processing in the future, the system needed an upgrade. Being an official Getac distributor, Jarltech found the solution in the powerful and highly rugged Getac E100 tablet PC. In August 2011, Jarltech integrated eighteen of the PCs into the picking process and connected them with scanners via Bluetooth. Jarltech created an interface to synchronise the ERP system and the terminals, while shelves were reallocated. Now, each order picker logs in to the specially programmed system via the E100 and immediately begins processing orders. The process begins by scanning the automatically printed shipping note. The interface then calculates the most efficient route to the individual items and displays a virtual warehouse map on the tablet PC, very similar to a PNA. Thus, the picker is able to collect the items without detours. What is more, the new system also supports quality management. The order picker scans each retrieved item using the connected scanner; simultaneously triggering the ERP system to check the data. If the article number matches the order, the program books out the unit

A good system In order to handle their enormous number of orders every day, Jarltech uses a self-developed ERP system, which consists of several software and hardware modules. This system was working well beforehand, actually: with 15,000 to 20,000 shipping notes per month, their error rate stayed below 0.15 %. With a shipping note and pick list in their hand, the logistics staff collected the required items from the warehouse. As they used to work through the list from top to bottom, detours were unavoidable. Another difficulty was that they would not know if a product would be stored on an out-of-reach shelf, five metres high. This procedure demanded much attention of the logistics team, and a final quality check was required as well. This was time consuming – time that was becoming short due to an increasing order volume.

Any mistake thus is prevented effectively. After completing the route, the employee packs the order for shipping and the customer soon enjoys a flawless de-

livery. The system upgrade also optimised the accessibility of products; palettes on high racks are filtered by the program, since they are used only for the storage of refilling stock for lower shelves.

First-hand experience of Getac‘s potential Getac‘s E100 tablet PCs are the ideal choice for Jarltech‘s warehouse logistics. They are handy enough to be carried around as a powerful terminal and provide advanced functionality. The large touch display allows for easy reading and interaction with the ERP system. Because of the evening shipping service, long operation time is very important – and that is yet another strong point of the E100. The rechargeable battery needs to be changed only once a day. This is easily done, even in the middle of operation, thanks to a backup battery. This battery also fills the gap in case the tablet runs out of power. The reserve battery provides enough power to finish the ongoing picking task and then change the main battery. For usage in a warehouse, external factors were also taken into consideration. It is a fact: goods that travelled around half the world are dusty. However, the computer‘s high protection specification deals with that problem; additionally, they easily withstand drops on the floor. »We are very satisfied with the Getac devices our company uses«, says Ulrich Spranger, CEO Jarltech. »Although we have only been using the devices for a few months, I have already received a lot of very positive feedback from our personnel.
