“Atom merupakan benda/partikel pejal yang tidak dapat dibagi‐bagi lagi.” Postulat Dalton diatas merupakan postulat yang sudah tidak berlaku lagi, karena pada teori atom selanjutnya telah terbukti bahwa Atom masih dapat dibagi‐bagi lagi menjadi proton yang bermuatan positif, neutron bermuatan netral dan electron yang bermuatang negatif. Postulat tersebut tidak mengartikan bahwa Dalton telah salah dalam mengungkapkan sebuah postulat, tetapi menunjukkan bahwa pada zaman Dalton penelitian yang dilakukan mengenai atom memang masih belum terlalu spesifik dan Dalton memang merupakan salah satu pelopor teori atom setelah Democritus yang sudah pasti hanya mampu membahas sampai makna dari atom itu sendiri. Model atom Dalton saat ini sudah tidak berlaku lagi karena seiring barjalannya waktu teori atom telah mengalami perkembangan menuju model yang semakin sempurna. Namun, disisi lain teori ini masih tetap digunakan dalam dunia pendidikan sebagai salah satu sejarah perkembangan teori atom 2. Perbedaan antara Aturan Hunds, Prinsip Pauli, dan Prinsip Aufbau. Aturan Hunds : pada setiap orbital yang mempunyai energy yang sama akan diisi electron setengah terlebih dahulu dengan spin electron parallel, baru kemudian electron pasangannya dengan spin yang berlawanan. The answers : Ketika ikatan memecah ikatan itu menyerap energy karena dipengaruhi oleh gaya dipol‐dipol yang terjadi antara molekul. ∆ dipengaruhi oleh dipol jika dipole diperbesar maka akan mendidih pada suhu yang besar sehingga panas itu digunakan sebagai energy untuk melawan gaya dipole antar molekul H‐Cl , sehingga ∆ positif karena dia membutuhkan energy dari panas tersebut.
