My name is Jakub Ditrich. I am 38 right now and since I’ve been studying for the film production and doing an Internet business for eight years since 2007 I am in the E-bike business…is on the market since 2008 and since then we are producing quite a full range of the electric bicycles which are being very popular in the Czech Republic in last year or two, much more popular than in Hungary, Poland or other eastern countries in Europe. We are still not at the level of Germany or Netherlands. For example, in the Netherlands the electric bicycles makes over 50% of the bicycle market recently. But we are going very fast for the electric bicycle adoption as the best mean of transport for the cities. Many people think that electric bicycle is solely for the elderly people and for lazy people. I don’t want to pedal, so I’m gonna buy the electric bicycle. That’s not basically true because you have to pedal which is the first think the people find out when they step on the E-bike and secondly your are using the bicycle in the normal clothes, your speed is a bit higher than on the normal bike because uphill, you could go at 20km/h and you find out it’s pretty useful tool for the daily commuting or daily transportation. And the main reason is the transport. I need to underline it. And transport for the normal people from the 16 years up to 87 which is our oldest customer who is using the bike for his leisure and he is rediscovering the places where he has been 25 years ago and since then he became ill and weak in the muscles so now the E-bike allows him to go on places where he wants to go before he die. The folding bike which we have here today is a great for the city because of the small wheels it’s very quick if you need to turn around and if you go…if you need to go between the cars and it’s also very stylish. And, for example, if you need to enter the lift, you just bend the bike in here and you could go in very easily. The electric bicycles despite the normal bikes have few things and the main thing on the bike and the most expensive part as well is the battery which could be placed behind the seat post like here, which could be also placed inside the frame tube with the lower capacity. So then the electric bicycle is not really being seen as the E-bike because it’s…everything is hidden. You need to have a motor. The electric motor which is the maximum of 250W is…the best placement for the motor is in the rear hub because of the torque but there are many models which has the motor in the middle and some city bicycles they have a motor in the front because they have a gear shift in the rear hub. Of course mainly you use the pedal leg system. So the system when I start to pedal the bike, the motor start to help me smoothly according of speed of the bike and according the cadence of my pedalling. I could use the throttle while I pedal to get the maximum assistance of the bike but only when I pedal. The price of the electric bicycle is higher for the price…for the cost of the battery and cost of the motor. Roughly the E-bike cost is double the cost of the normal bicycle. Any time you could charge the battery. Either you charge the battery inside the frame by plugging the charger which I don’t have with me at the moment or you could take the battery out from the bike. Of course it’s locked here so now it was unlocked …and you could plug the battery anywhere even in the restaurant or at home. The full charging process 4-5 hours but you could charge the battery virtually anytime. The battery is from lithium compound, it’s lithium polymer battery, so there is no problem to charge it every day or after each ride. The one hour charging means plus approximately 20km of ride and the cost of the full charging is 0,5 kWh. It represents roughly 2,5 CZK per charge which is not much.
Jmenuju se Jakub Ditrich. Teď je mi 38 let a od té doby, co jsem vystudoval filmovou produkci, podnikám na internetu - osm let, od roku 2007, a to s elektrokoly. Od té doby, co je elektrokolo na trhu, jich vyrábíme celou řadu a jsou v posledních dvou letech na trhu v ČR velmi populární. Více než v Maďarsku, Polsku nebo dalších východoevropských zemích. Stále však nejsme na úrovni Německa nebo Nizozemí. V Nizozemí například v poslední době elektrokola tvoří 50% trhu s koly vůbec. Ale rychle postupujeme a elektrokola se etablují jako nejlepší dopravní prostředek ve městech. Mnoho lidí si myslí, že elektrokola jsou pouze pro starší lidi a pro lenochy. Nechce se mi šlapat, tak si koupím elektrokolo. To není v podstatě pravda, protože šlapat musíte, což je to první, co lidi zjistí, když nasednou na elektrokolo. Zadruhé, kolo využíváte v normálním oblečení, jedete rychleji než na normálním kole, protože do kopce můžete dosáhnout rychlosti 20 km/h. Zjistíte, že se jedná o velice užitečný prostředek pro každodenní dojíždění a přepravu. Hlavním důvodem je doprava. To musím podtrhnout. A to doprava pro běžné lidi od 16 do 87 let, což je věk našeho nejstaršího zákazníka, který kolo užívá ve volném čase a znovu objevuje místa, kde byl před 25 lety. Mezitím onemocněl a zeslábly mu svaly, takže dnes užívá elektrokolo, aby navštívil místa, která chce vidět, než umře. Skládací kolo, které tu dnes máme, se skvěle hodí do města, protože kvůli malým kolům můžete snadno zahýbat, když se potřebujete proplést mezi auty a je také velmi stylové. A když kupříkladu potřebujete do výtahu, zde kolo složíte a pohodlně nastoupíte. Elektrokola se od normálních liší v některých aspektech. To hlavní a nejdražší na takovém kole je baterie, která se umisťuje za sedlo, jako je tomu zde, nebo se vkládá do trubky v rámu, ale taková má menší kapacitu. Takové kolo pak nevypadá jako elektrokolo, protože vše je skryté. Dále musíte mít motor. Elektromotor s maximálním výkonem 250W je… nejlepší místo pro motor je v zadním středu kola kvůli přenosu síly, ale existuje spousta modelů, které mají motor uprostřed a některá kola do města jej mají vepředu, protože mají převodovku v náboji zadního kola. Nejvíce se, samozřejmě, užívají pedály. Jakmile začnu šlapat, motor mi pomůže hladce nabrat rychlost a to podle rychlosti kola a četnosti šlapání. Během šlapání mohu využít plynovou páčku pro maximální podporu motoru, ale to lze jen při šlapání. Cena elektrokola je vyšší o cenu baterie a cenu motoru. Cena takového elektrokola je zhruba dvakrát vyšší než cena běžného bicyklu. Baterii můžete dobíjet kdykoli. Buď ji dobíjíte na rámu kola zapojením do nabíječky, kterou s sebou momentálně nemám, nebo baterii z kola vyjmete. Samozřejmě, je zamčená, takže teď byla odemčená… a baterii můžete napájet kdekoli, třeba i v restauraci nebo doma. Plný cyklus nabíjení trvá 4-5 hodin, ale baterii můžete dobíjet v podstatě kdykoli. Baterie je vyrobena na bázi lithia, jedná se o baterii s polymerem lithia, takže není problém ji dobíjet každý den nebo po každé jízdě. Každá hodina nabíjení znamená přibližně 20 km jízdy a náklady na plné nabití činí 0.5 kWh, což odpovídá zhruba 2,5 korunám na nabíjecí cyklus, což není moc.
