Bible study (1) Hub leader: Rhodé Hoorn ([email protected]) These groups will focus on studying God’s word either directly through a Bible book study or through the sermons, other Bible study material or Christian books. The main purpose of the group is for members to grow in their knowledge of God and God’s word and in their faith. International Connect Group Location: Hilversum. When: Tuesday evenings Description: We are an International Connect Group with people from many countries including the Netherlands. We love to study the bible and grow in our relationship with God. Next to this we are trying to live life and share life together as Christians, walking the road together. We are also worshipping and praying for each other and the church. Language: English Leaders: Klaas and Megan van Mill ([email protected]) Veluwe Group Location: Ermelo/Amersfoort Vathorst When: Saturday night (5 Saturdays in the 9 week trimester) Description: We meet together on a Saturday evening from 17.30 for a potluck meal which includes the children. After the main course the children go upstairs to play and adults do a Bible study (sermon series, video series, other Bible study) for approximately one hour. The evening finishes at approximately 20.30. From March to May we will be studying the book of James. Prayer is important at our meetings, but also a good atmosphere and attention for each other. Though we have been an English speaking connect group, this may change depending on the needs of the attendees. Bible study (2) Waves - leven delen, geloof delen, vertrouwen op Hem Locatie: Hilversum Wanneer: om de week op woensdagavond Beschrijving: Wij zijn een connect group van broers en zussen die samen wandelen op hun weg met Jezus Christus. Dit doen we door de bijbel open te doen, en te leren van Gods woord, samen bidden, aanbidden en plezier hebben met elkaar. We zijn een groep waar iedereen z'n aandeel heeft, zoals het lichaam vele leden heeft. We willen sommige avonden de preek nabespreken door bijbelstudie over de preek, andere avonden zijn open voor bijbelse thema's die leven in de groep. ACTS Rotterdam (Actively Caring Through Sharing) Location: Rotterdam (District - IJsselmonde) When: Sunday evenings beginning at 5 pm. We will be sharing dinner together, everyone is welcome to bring something to share Description: We will talk about The Holy Spirit: An Introduction by John and Lisa Bevere will help you grow closer to the eternal God who is passionately in love with you. (1 Corinthians 2:9-10). In this study you will learn about the Holy Spirit - His personality, His power, and how you can get to know Him better. Community Groups (1) Hub leader: Timmo van der Beek ([email protected]) Community groups are open to all and have an outward focus on their community or neighbourhood. In these groups people grow in their faith and are also active in working together to serve others. Amersfoort connect group Location: Amersfoort When: Wednesday 19.30 Description: By love, sharing and celebration, connecting Amersfoort with Jesus! Through prayer, sharing life, music, talking about Christian topics and being active together, we want to bless and built each other up and be open for all people who want to learn and experience how living with God can be. (2 Cor 9:10) Language: Mainly English, but can be bilingual. In de even weken willen we missionaire activiteiten doen. Beschrijving: Wij zijn een Nederlandstalige gastvrije groep uit Bussum en omgeving die zoekende naar Jezus' wil heeft ontdekt dat die zoektocht het mooist is wanneer we samen een gemeenschap vormen: families, stellen en alleenstaanden van alle leeftijden, gezamenlijk. Jezus, kinderen en mensen die God zoeken, zijn bij ons de belangrijkste leden. Wij eten met elkaar, wij openen de Bijbel met elkaar en we willen voor zover het binnen onze mogelijkheden ligt alle zegeningen die we hebben, delen met onze buren en naasten. Community Groups (2) Faith, Friends & Food (FFF) Locatie: Nederhorst den Berg / Hilversum Wanneer: Donderdag 18:30 - 22:00 (+ naborrelen) 2 wekelijks Beschrijving: Om de twee weken komen we samen met mensen rond de 30 uit Nederhorst den Berg, Hilversum e.o. Na het eten en nadat de kleine kinderen op bed zijn gelegd, gaan we per keer in op verschillende onderwerpen (wat er in de groep leeft/ wat ieders passie heeft) welke we om de beurt voorbereiden. Iedereen is welkom en we hopen verder uit te groeien tot twee groepen. Where: Almere Muziekwijk-Noord When: - Every Tuesday evening between 19:30 - 21:30, for an interactive session to help us make disciples. - Every 2nd Saturday of the month at 19:30 - 21:30f or a time of fellowship and study related to missions. - Every 4th Saturday of the month at 18:00 -21:30 there is a Potluck dinner in which we invite friends and people from the neighbourhood. At times we start earlier on this 4th Saturday 16:00 to do some outreach in the neighbourhood. Community Groups (3) Kledingbank Connect Group Locatie: Thousand Hills Wanneer: Iedere vrijdagochtend. Elke eerste zaterdagochtend van de maand Wij zijn een gezellige groep die graag de handen uit de mouwen steekt om onze naaste in nood te helpen en mensen kennis te laten maken met de liefde van Jezus. Wij zamelen kleding in en sorteren die. Eens in de maand hebben we een kledingbank; een pop-up-shop met een koffie corner voor gratis koffie kleding en een praatje. Daarnaast maken we tijd om elkaar op te bouwen, en met elkaar te bidden onder genot van een kop koffie. Taal: Nederlands en Engels

We will be praying that God will touch and change lives in the congregation and for all the Dream Team involved in the service. Women Hub leader: Megan van Mill ([email protected]) Women’s groups are those groups that is open only to women Beth Moore Connect Group (Morning) Location: Thousand Hills Int’l Church When: Monday Morning (9.30-11.30) Description: Believing God: Experiencing a Fresh Explosion of Faith by Beth Moore. Based on Isaiah 43:10, we will explore what it means to believe God through studying the lives of Abraham, Moses and others from Hebrews 11. Language: English & Dutch Leader: Dar Rossi ([email protected]) Beth Moore Connect Group (Evening) Location: Thousand Hills Int’l Church When: Monday Evening (19.30-21.30) Description: Believing God: Experiencing a Fresh Explosion of Faith by Beth Moore. We meet every 1st Wednesday and every 3rd Monday of the month from 10.00 till 12.00. Wednesday we meet at the church and on Monday we meet at one of our homes. Language: English & Dutch Leader: Irene Vos ([email protected]) Serene Locatie: Hilversum Wanneer: Wednesday evening 20:00-22:00, fortnightly. Beschrijving: Een groep vrouwen van ouder dan 18. We komen samen om te bidden, de Bijbel te lezen,te getuigen van wat God in ons dagelijks leven doet en de spreken over de dienst van afgelopen zondag. Nieuwe mensen zijn ten allen tijde welkom. Men Hub leader: Ruud Stut ([email protected]) At this stage there are no Connect Groups but there will be a Men’s event on March 14th. All Men are encouraged to attend!

Social Hub leader: Kathy Harris ([email protected]) Social groups are those focused around a passion, hobby or interest of the leader but at the same time these groups allow us to share our faith with others in a natural way, pray for one another or share our testimonies while participating in activities. The types of social groups are endless but could include: walking, meals, cooking, music, photography, learning a new skill, exercising, picnics etc. Contact Kathy if you would like to know more or have a great idea! The Journey When: : to be decided Where: Hilversum/Almere Description: A social group for everyone who likes to travel. A chance to talk about travel ideas and experiences; talk about travel in the Bible (who, what and where); connect with other Christians who share your passion for travel and to travel together on day trips around the Netherlands and possibly travel together to Israel or another location. Finance Hub leader: Sebastiaan van Wessem ([email protected]) These groups will be either courses in finance or discussions about budgeting and putting God first in your finances.

Return on Investment (ROI) Location: Hilversum or Amersfoort (as needed) When: Wednesday 20.00 Description: In the course we will study God's word in relation to our finances, talents and time. Language: English Leader: Jacques Rijsenbilt ([email protected])

Marriage & Family Hub leader: David White ([email protected]) These are courses that will run during the trimester. Pre-marriage course Location: Maarssen When: Weekly at times and dates selected to suit the participants Description: Alpha-based “Pre-marriage course” - a five-session study for couples who are planning to get married. The group will consist of only 1-3 couples. They will be led through the evening’s subject from a DVD and then with help of a manual each couple will discuss the information together. Language: English and Dutch Leaders: Muyiwa & Simone Odunsi ([email protected]) Marriage Course Location: Almere, Hilversum and possibly other locations depending on available hosts. When: 19.30 on dates to be selected to suit the participants. The first 4 sessions are every week and the last 3 sessions are bi-weekly. Description: Alpha-based “Marriage course”. A seven-session study for couples who have been married for at least 2 years. Each group will consist of a maximum of 3 couples. The couples will be led through the evening’s subject using a DVD. There are several breaks in the program where exercises are completed together as couples separate from the group. There are no group discussions on these evenings. It is not possible to enter this course part way through. Language: English and Dutch. DVDs are English with Dutch subtitles. The manuals are available in Dutch and English at a cost of €8,50 per manual Leaders: Gerrie & Russell Wretham ([email protected]) Parenting (11-18) course Location: Thousand Hills When: Thursdays at 19.30 Description: This four-session course, open to all parents of 11-18 yr olds, will cover topics such as bible-based parenting principles, a parent’s relationship with their teens, a teen’s relationship with their parents, together with helpful strategies and advice.
