A. Description This course, a beginning of a series courses on translating, encourages an intensive and accurate of translating from English to Indonesian in different subjects. Except for the first session which is intended to inform students (at glance) values of translation from both scientific and economic points of view and to motivate them to learn the translation skills more intensively, all the sessions in this course takes the form of guided and supervised exercises. The materials of 100-150 words are taken from a variety of branches of knowledge and culture, from a variety of sources as to give the students various basic knowledge, as a background required by every professional translator. B. Objective This course is intended to provide students with some basic skills and experiences in translating English texts of various branches of knowledge and culture and train students to work as a professional translator C. Evaluation The final grade will be calculated according to the percentages below. Course Title : Office Management 2 Code : MKB – 319 Credit : 2 SKS 1. Subject description This course is a comprehensive overview of the administration of the modern office in the public and private sector. The application of management principles to office operations will be covered. The course provides practical information about human relations, office technology, and management process 2. Objectives After follow this course, The student will: g) Recognize basic traditional office management practices, emerging management trends, administrative management resource areas, and restructured office systems and training needs. h) Practice leadership and communication skills in business environments, including groups, teams, and conflict resolution. i) Manage human resources in the office including staffing, on-the-job employee practices, workforce improvement, conflict resolution, job stress, time management, as well as work ethics and business etiquette issues. j) Manage the trends and challenges of office network systems as a result of new technology. k) Demonstrate knowledge of employee recognition and compensation, health-related issues, office design and ergonomic issues, and health and safety issues. l) Demonstrate effectiveness in planning, executing, and follow up of meetings. 3.
