Type of Services 3.1 In edition element of the State Police Organization, the merchant marine and the Aimed Forces can be made available for search and rescue organization. 3.2 Aircraft available to SAR but no amphibious. It is capable of dropping survival equipment consisting of inflatable rubber dinghies furnished with medical supplies, emergency ration and survival kits. 3.3 Aircraft and/or marine craft equipped to communicate on 121.5 MHZ, 123.1 MHZ 156.8 MHZ 243.0 MHZ, 2182 kHz, 3023 kHz, 5680 kHz, and 6215.5 kHz. New introduce SAR ancient and vessels we equipped with direction finding equipment and RADAR. 3.4 All available facilities are normally used for other purposes but we adapted for SAR purposes and SAR training.

SAR Agreements Request for the entry of aircraft, vessels, equipment and personnel from other states to engage in search for aircraft and ship in distress or survivor of aircraft and ships accident should be transmitted to armed forces head quarter either through the Head of National SAR Agency or respective Embassy. Instruction as to the control which will be exercised on entry of such aircraft vowels and/or personnel will be given by the rescue sub contra in accordance with standing order –plan for conduct of search and rescue.

Condition of availability The SAR services and facilities in Indonesia are available without charge to neighboring state upon request to the Head of National SAR Agency at all times when they are not engaged in search and rescue operations in their home territory.

Procedures for pilots in command observing an accident or intercepting a distress call and/or message are outlined in Chapter 5 of Annex 12 to the Convention ON international Civil Aviation. Ditching reports, requested by aircraft about to ditch, are given in accordance with the provisions in Procedure for Air Navigation Services, Meteorology (Doc. 7605MET/526)

Transmission and reception of distress message are outlined in Chapter 5 of Annex 10 para 5.3. to the Convention on International Civil Aviation

Indonesian operates Jakarta Local User Terminal (LUT), Makassar LUT and Indonesian Mission Control Centre (IDMCC), the ground segment of CospasSarsat System which monitors ELT on frequency 406 MHz, and 121,5 /243 MHz in 24 hours, and all the distress alert info received are, then, forwarded to all SPOCs.
