MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEBN THB NATIONAL LIBRARY OF SERBIA AND
THE NATTONAL LIBRARY OF INDONESIA CONCERNING LIBRARY COOPERATION The National Lrbrary of Indonesia referred to as'the Pafties";
(NLI) and The National Library of Serbia CNLS) hereinafter
DESIRING to strengthen the existing cordial relationship between the countries and to fuither cooperate in the field of library management and reference and information services;
RECOGNIZING the importance of establishing mechanism that contribute to strengthening of cooperation in the field of mutual interest and the need to carry out specific piogramJ of collaboration and related matters;
PURSUANT to the prevailing laws and regulations of their respective countries; HAVE AGREED AS FOLLOWS:

I
Objective This objective of this Memorandum of Understanding hereinafter referred to as "MolJ" is to:
1.
Reaffirm and strerrgthen the long standing cordial relationship between the Parties. 2 Complementing each other's strengths to develop new programs and services for mutual benefits. 3' Exchange the publications published in Serbia and Indonesia which are important for national and cultural heritage ofthe other Party (the criteria of national bibliography)

Areas of Cooperation The Parties shall cooperate in the following areas:
1.
Sharing of information and experiences a' Parties agree to exchange their own scientific, bibliographic and professional publications. Acquisition departments will complete the detailed lists of publications and send the exchange offer.

Parties
will cooperation on the exchange of experience, knowledge
and professionals all related arrangements shall be agreed ad hoc between the parties and shall be subjected to each pafty's
economic situation.
2. Mutual cooperation

will cooperate on the following common programs and projects: exhibitions, publications, seminars, protection and restoration, cataloguing, digiti zationand the like. Parties will cooperate in the international projects that are mutually beneficial for both libraries, as well as for both countries, culture and science.

cooperate onthe metadata exchange and download of the bibliographic and otherdata from their electronic databases in accordance with the law.

Implementation The implementation of this MoU may be fuither laid down in arrangements agreed upon by the Parties and communicated in writing. The arrangements may cover financial obligation "onditiorrr, of each party and other appropriate matters as necessary. The parties shall explore and negotiate in good faith so as to execute the formal agreements that will contain full details and woikings of their joint prograrns and other activities
Article 4 Intellectual Property Rights The Parties shall ensure any intellectual properly rights which may arise out of the implementation of this MoU shall governed in accordance with the Parties' national legislation and the international legal instruments to which the Parties are parties to.
If
each party wishes to disclose confidential data and.lor information resulted from the cooperation activities under this MoU, it must obtain prior consent from the other party before any disclosure can be
made.

Settlement of Dispute
Any differences or disputes arising out of the interpretation or implementation of this MoU shall be settled amicably through consultation or negotiation between the parties.

Amendment This MoU may be amended at any time by mutual written consent of the Parties. The amendment which has been agreed by the Parties shall be an integral part of this MoU. Periodicaliy, there will be an assessment of both parties' cooperation progress.
Article 7 Entry into Force, Durationo Termination

This MoU shall enter into force on the date of Signing. This MoU shall remain into force for and period of 5 (five) years, unless either party gives written notice of at least 3 (three) months in advance of intention to terminate this MoIl 3' The termination of this MoU shall not affect the validity of ongoing programs or activities until the completion of such program or activities.

di Beograd, Republik Serbia dan Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia di Jakarta, Republik Indonesia (selanjutnya disebut Para Pihak), memiliki kepentingan bersama dalam mengembangkan ilmu pustakaan dan informasi dan dalam rangka mempromosikan kerjasama dan untuk berkontribusi pada hubungan budaya dan ilmu pengetahuan antara Indonesia dan Serbia, menjadi dasar perjanjian kerjasama ini. 1.
Para Pihak sepakat untuk bertukar publikasi yang diterbitkan di Indonesia dan Serbia yang memiliki arti penting bagi warisan budaya nasional pihak lain (kriteria bibliografi nasional). Bidang akuisisi Para Pihak akan menentukan subjek dan kuantitas pertukaran. 2. Para Pihak sepakat untuk saling bertukar publikasi ilmiah, bibliografi dan tenaga profesional masing-masing. Bidang akuisisi akan menyiapkan daftar terinci publikasi dan mengirim penawaran pertukaran. 3.
Para Pihak akan bertukar pengalaman, pengetahuan dan tenaga profesional. Semua pengaturan terkait harus disepakati secara ad hoc antara Para Pihak dengan memperhatikan situasi ekonomi Para Pihak.
4.
Para Pihak akan bekerja sama dalam pertukaran metadata dan unduhan dari lain dari database elektronik mereka sesuai dengan perundangan.

Para Pihak akan bekerja sama mengikuti program-program dan proyek-proyek seperti pameran, publikasi, seminar, perlindungan dan pemulihan, katalogisasi, digitalisasi bahan perpustakaan.

Para Pihak akan bekerja sama dalam proyek-proyek internasional yang saling menguntungkan baik bagi perpustakaan, serta bagi budaya dan ilmu pengetahuan kedua.r.guiu. 7.
Perjanjian ini ditandatangani untuk waktu tak terbatas dan berlaku sampai salah satu pihak membutuhkan penambahan atau pemutusan perjanjian. Penambahan dan perubahan akan selalu dalam bentuk tertulis dan membutuhkan persetujuan kedua belah pihak. Secara berkala, penilaian kemajuan kerjasama akan dilakukan. Pemutusan perjanjian kerjasama bukan merupakan hambatan bagi pemulihan kegiatan bersama yang tidak diselesaikan setelah tanggal pemutusan, kecuali Para Pihak menyepakati lain. 8.
Perjanjian ini berlaku setelah ditandatangani oleh perwakilan resmi dari kedua belah pihak. 9.
Perjanjian ini ditandatangani di Beograd dalam Bahasa Indonesia, Serbia dan Inggris, masingmasing dua rangkap. Setiap Pihak menyimpan satu rangkap untuk setiap bahasa. Teks dalam ketiga bahasa ini memiliki otentifikasi sama. Dalam hal terjadi perbedaan penafsiran perjanjian ini, maka akan mengacu pada teks berbahasa Inggris. Nasional Serbia
