Jika sebelumnya sudah pernah menginstall Visual Studio 2010 dan sudah include SQL Server Express 2008 maka cukup install SQL Server Management Studio Saja (Client). Instalasi Step Install : Server dulu baru client Step 1 : Pilih Installation

Step 6 (Optional) : Halaman ini akan muncul jika sudah pernah melakukan instalasi SQL 2008 , jika sebelumnya berhasil melakukan instalasi , maka Pilih Add feature to an existing instance of SQL Server 2008 lalu install Management Studio, jika tidak ada maka silahkan pilih Perform a new installation of SQL Server 2008, pada tutorial ini diasumsikan memilih Perform a new installation of SQL Server 2008,lalu pilih Next.

Step 7 : Baca kembali Requirement pada tutorial ini , lalu pilih license yang ingin digunakan pada tutorial ini diasumsikan memilih Express with Advanced Services , lalu pilih Next.
Step 8 : Centang I accept the license terms , kemudian pilih Next.

Step 9 : Pilih baca kembali Requirement, Database Engine Services dan Management Tools – Basic, lalu pilih Next.

SQL Server 2008 installation error : Previous releases of Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Masalah: Jika Penginstalan SQL server 2008 terdapat error sebagai berikut :

C. Jika masih mendapat error kemungkinan terdapat registry kotor pada visual studio 2008 , dapat melakukan bypass untuk kasus ini dengan menggunakan cmd Step 1 : Pastikan file SQL Server sudah dalam kondisi uncompress , jika belum lakukan langkah berikut

Step 2 : Maka hasil dari extract akan terdapat file setup.exe
Step3 : Lakukan perintah pada cmd sebagai berikut setup.exe /ACTION=install /SkipRules=VSShellInstalledRule

SQL Server 2008 installation error : Other Problem Jika terdapat error lain , dapat dicek pada C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log , kemudian pilih waktu yang paling baru.
SQL Server 2008 ERROR Message : MsiGetProductInfo failed to retrieve ProductVersion for package with Product Code = ‘{….}’. Error code: 1605. Contoh : MsiGetProductInfo failed to retrieve ProductVersion for package with Product Code = '{8BDD006D-7863-4D25-9806-08527E285EA4}'. Error code: 1605.

Buka regedit Cari registry sesuai dengan product key yang dibalik pada error message. Contoh:{8BDD006D-7863-4D25-9806-08527E285EA4}, maka cari registrynya
