ebley & Scott can trace their origins back to 1790 in Birmingham, England. Now an international company, selling and manufacturing worldwide, we are pleased to announce the return to the production of traditional centrefire rifles. This catalogue introduces the Webley & Scott 900 Extreme Sporter Models, developed in conjunction with international trap shooter Gene Lumsden. This developement of the proven Webley & Scott 900 O/U Shotgun features a raised top rib, and modified lightened barrels creating the ideal gun for the serious clay shooter. Webley & Scott launch the 812 Inertia operated semi automatic shotguns and 612 Pump Action Shotguns both with Tactical variants.
The 3000 series is a premium sidelock presenting a receiver milled by a CNC-machine from a block of molybdenum chrome steel, heavy duty hammer springs and CNC machined internal parts. It comes with a true 7-pin design and two independent firing mechanisms that are mounted on sideplates and carefully inletted into the stock and mated with the receiver. The intercepting safety sear and additional pin anchoring makes these guns superior to 5-pin models. The receiver is beautifully hand engraved in English Scroll over one-quarter of the surface. The finishing, checkering (24 lines per inch) and fitting are all done by hand. Supplied with 5 thin-walled chokes or optional fixed chokes on Game versions. The 900 series shotgun is designed to the highest specification for performance and reliability. No expense has been spared in its development to produce the best handling gun that cannot be matched for its robust but correctly-weighted configuration. In black action, no cost detriment has been incurred to pay for features that do not contribute to the gun’s purpose, to shoot accurately and reliably with unmatched ease of handling for a modest price. The 900 series have a 3 inch chamber capable of firing up to 3 inch magnum steel shot cartridges. The receiver is milled from a solid block of moly-chrome steel and the barrels are black chromed. With a gated barrel selector and heavy duty hammer springs, this CNC-machined action is strong. Available in 12g and 20g, the 900 series, like all premium English guns, has hand-oiled Turkish walnut stocks. It comes with 5 chokes and is available in 20g as a Junior gun with a shortened (by 2 inches) length of pull and replacement standard length stock. Built to address the growing re-enactment market, the Webley & Scott Field Cannon is a scaled down version of the Classic Quick Firing 12-pounder Field Cannon. The Quick Firing 12-pounder gun was a common 3-inch (76 mm) calibre naval gun brought into British service in 1894 where it remained in active use until at least 1945. The gun was designed by Armstrong’s Elswick Ordnance Company in 1893. It utilised a state of the art interrupted thread breech and fired a fixed round of ammunition at the rate of 15 shots per minute. While being a common gun, vv place in British Military history was immortalised through use during the Boer War where Naval guns were taken ashore, fitted with makeshift carriages and sent to assist the Army. The Boer War events were commemorated every year at the Royal Tournament Gun Run until the late 1990’s.
