Language elements 2 Ebben a feladatban is lyukas szövegeket találsz.
Feladat a megfelelő szövegrészek összekapcsolása.
Ezt a (Write Yes / No) jelzi a kérdés végén.
Translation Egy rövidebb, angol nyelvű szöveget kell magyarra fordítani. Heroic British couple set new South Pole record
They have lost three stones in weight and battled with health problems, but today it all seemed worthwhile for Conrad and Hilary Dickinson as they became the first married couple to reach the South Pole together. The British pair said that the crowning moment was skiing towards the pole with a Union Jack draped over the back of their sledge. Conrad, 49, and Hilary, 51, had to endure the worst weather conditions for 15 years during their unsupported trek to the geographic South Pole as they followed in the footsteps of the Norwegian pioneer Roald Amundsen. The couple, from Hexham, Northumberland, celebrated their record achievement by pulling mini crackers and wearing party hats, while feasting on chocolate and cake - all carried with them in the sledge they dragged hundreds of miles across the ice. Mr Dickinson, a former Special Forces soldier with extensive Arctic experience, set off with his wife from Hercules Inlet on the fringe of the Antarctic continent on November 1. The couple have spent 53 days skiing the 674 miles to the pole. In the early days of the expedition, when their food and fuel supplies were still high, they were dragging sledges which weighed as much as 20 stone.
Now Mr Dickinson, who owns Karpet Mill in Kingston Park, Newcastle, and Hilary plan to claim another first - by returning to Hercules Inlet under their own steam, completing a gruelling round trip of 1,368 miles. Specially-designed kites and extra food have been dropped off at the pole to enable them to complete the journey before the Antarctic winter sets in, in 25 days' time. If they complete the return leg they will have made the longest Antarctic foot journey yet by a British team. Mr Dickinson said that kite-skiing would be made more difficult by the snow ridges whipped up by the icy winds, although he hoped to achieve speeds of 20mph. With the couple on the expedition are Matty McNair, 53, from Baffin Isand, Canada, and her two children, Sarah McNair-Landry, 18 and Eric McNairLandry, 20. In an interview on the BBC Radio 4 Today programme, Mr Dickinson said today: " We all lost two or three stones, we suffered back problems, leg problems... but we are all over the moon and feel incredibly privileged to be skiing across the South Pole with the union jack draped over our sledge."

Armed robbers strike on taxis Commuters are afraid to travel by minibus taxi after several people were robbed at gunpoint inside the vehicles. Nombulelo Dywili said she was robbed in a taxi after returning from Tambo Village last week. Dywili, travelling with her 18-month-old granddaughter, was held up at gunpoint by three men in the taxi aged between 20 and 30 years, who demanded she hand over her cellphone. "At first I did not know how to react. Only when I got home did I realise I almost died for nothing," she said. After Dywili gave them the phone the taxi driver dropped her off far from her home. Scared of being robbed again, she did not stop any of the passing cars but walked home. "When I got home I was scared that they had followed me. I locked all the doors and ran straight for my high blood pressure pills," Dywili said. Police spokesperson Thandie Mvoto said several cases of people being robbed in taxis had been reported. But the police has been unable to track down the assailants as most of the vehicles either had fake licence plates or were unregistered. Thamie Bathembu of the Cape Amalgamated Taxi Association said: "It has come to our attention that some of our employees are innocent by day and criminals by night. We would advise people to take a good look at the registration plate. Our taxis can also be distinguished by the number pasted on the windscreen, proving that the vehicle is registered."
